We had a lovely evening at Acqua. We had made reservations, but we were a few minutes late. We…read moredrove to the top of the parking lot, entered our licence plate by the reception desk and received free parking. We were warmly welcomed and offered a choice of seating. We choose a seat inside the restaurant as it was somewhat cool by the patio door, that was open. There is nice music playing at a comfortable volume. The room is nicely decorated and there is good spacing between the tables. It was very comfortable as the room was not noisey. We were given both a patio menu and the regular menu and we asked for the happy hour menu as there was still time left for happy hour. When we asked about the happy hour wine, one of the men, I believe he may have been the manager said that on Sundays they have bottles of wine for 50% off and he brought the list over to us. This was much better value than the happy hour wine by the glass. We shared an order of teriyaki chicken wings from the happy hour menu. It was a generous serving, and the wings were very good. For entrees my husband had the lamb shank with potatoes substituted for the risotto and I had sea bass. There was no problem with the substitution. My husband said his lamb shank was good. I enjoyed my sea bass. It was well cooked and there were 3 good sized shrimp with it. It was very tasty, but I would have preferred a bit less stock in the dish. For dessert we shared an apple passion fruit tarte that came with ice cream. The ice cream was a pleasant surprise as it was not mentioned on the menu. The tarte was good but we could not taste any passion fruit. It was a good evening. Service was good, the food was good and the room is very comfortable. It is good value for the money.

Located inside the Executive Hotel and Conference Centre. The 2 best things about this restaurant:…read morethe happy hour selection and the spacious patio. Happy hour is Sun-Mon: 4-6pm & Tues-Sat 4-6pm, 9-10pm. Service is a hit or miss. The restaurant is understaffed so wait times for food and to get the bill are dependent upon how busy the restaurant is. The food came out at different times so some of the dishes were cold by the time the rest of the food arrived. The food is also a hit or miss...the last time I went the food was overly salty.

A spot that's great for special occasions, and also great for a family meal. While there were no…read moretoddler friendly utensils, they do offer booster seats and the wait staff were absolutely amazing and so patient with our little one. Thanks so much! They offered to split our lobster bisque so we could each have our own. We've also tried their tableside salad and desserts before and enjoyed the shows. My toddler wanted to get a closer look. The ambience is moody with high ceilings, low lighting, and plush seats. There is a constant buzz of conversations around us to provide a bit of intimacy and privacy to our conversations, while also allowing our toddler to be just a bit rowdy without feeling like we are disturbing the other guests. Of the food, I love the mushroom side with the truffle fondue. I wanted to dip everything in it as it was so flavourful and delicious. Complimentary bread with butter and blue cheese butter were offered to start. The brussel sprouts side was also unique with the added pistachios and a crisp for some crunch. The hearty mussels and clams starter were great for a rainy evening. Portion was enough as a meal by itself, too! There is a covered parking lot for those driving. I suggest making reservations as it can be quite busy!

Only my second time here since 2019!…read more Shame on me! Atlas Steak & Fish, is one of Metro Vancouvers premium award winning restaurants. Located at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby, free parking available in the casino lot across the street, but be warned that it's dirty as hell & smells terrible. Atlas Steak & Fish, is a supreme restaurant via looks, decor, lighting, seating, piano bar, table service, excellent waiters, food presentation & more. I ordered an Atlas Old Fashioned & let me tell you - WOW! Truly one of the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. (Bulleit 10yr bourbon, charred rosemary-maple syrup, aromatic bitters, cacao bitters served smoked over a 2" ice cube) The complimentary bread & butter was delightful. Our waitress Marina was fantastic. Our dinner consisted of Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Halibut & Lobster Risotto & the Tomahawk Pork Chop. Everything tasted splendid & knocked it out of the ball park. For dessert, get the Baked Alaska - it is absolutely sensational! The table service is spectacular - see my video clips. Make a reservation & get here ASAP! Hot tip alert - the dinning room temperature can be a bit cold. Ask for a blanket once you start freezing!
