They specialize in neuromuscular massage, so don't expect a spa-like experience with the usual Swedish massage. It starts off with a simple massage table in the office which is decorated with sports memorabilia. You keep your clothes on, a bedsheet is draped, and then he works on you through the bedsheet to your muscles. But like a spa, there's relaxing music playing (through a CD player!), and I usually end up dozing off at some point because the massage feels so nice. Afterwards, I always feel relieved of my tightness-- so good! John is obviously very good at what he does, understands anatomy, and accommodates to preferences (pressure, focusing on specific areas, etc). His clients range from well conditioned high school athletes (and of course Carl Lewis) who come for performance and recovery, to "normal" people like me with a bit of stiffness, to others with chronic pain or problem spots. He is also a really friendly man with an old soul and a good heart. MT and I have told so many friends about him and some have become regulars. His other team members also offer the same neuromuscular massages, and his wife, Ellen, offers physical therapy too. And if you're lucky, you might meet the pet bird, Dexter! He's a sweetie :) You can choose sessions from 30 min to 2 hours long. Definitely pricey-- 1 hour for $110, but it's definitely worth the money (health is wealth!). I wanted to keep Massage Therapy a secret but they deserve the love and 5 star rating over and over. They're located in a professional office building with ample parking, so definitely give them a try if you're looking to relieve your tightness or pain !

Now, it isn't always pleasant because they get after it! But afterwards, it's amazing!!! I had Anastasia work on my shoulders. My chiropractor was at her wits end trying to fix them. There are negatives but place keeps me going + social +understand chronic pain. The have a wellness plan which I partake in. Do the work & you will get better. Watch everything including otc, prescriptions drugs, food fats and any other things like sodium, potassium, sugar preservatives and fake sugars. Do ingredients the work and I will be a lifer at John West. My mantra stand tall and tight, never cane, walker or wheelchair. Remember, YOU CAN DO IT!! Most notable experience was using dry needling and the Neubie / Neufit machine. The needling helped relax and stimulate his high tension areas. The Neubie was the coolest part. It has stimulator patches that send electrical pulses to help calm the tension. She did a full body evaluation, found different points of diss alignment, and advised small changes to everyday posture (like different position while driving the car). She recommended a pillow and at home muscle stimulator which are both extremely reasonable in price. All in all, a great experience. My very first session the therapist says these life changing words, "I think this problem is centered in your back." WHAT?!? OMG, I was shocked. Enjoys people and loves to explain what you're dealing with and offers realistic expectations. He's aggressive with his adjustments. And provided relief almost immediately. He's got modern equipment. And best of all, private rooms for adjustments rather than a communal room. The staff is friendly. Professional and efficient. I've yet to wait in the lobby for my appointment.

I have gone to other chiropractors and they never met any of their promises to help me get better. So far I'm on my third adjustment and I feel so much better. Next appoint I will be getting another adjustment and an NRT which is a Nutrition Response Testing which I highly recommend people look into. The technician who saw me was very kind and helpful. I got my lumbar area and knee scanned. Finished around 5:40. I asked for a copy of my images so I had to wait another 10-15 min, which was understandable. Great location and would most def come back. They do accepts walk ins, however appointment client will be seen first.
