Absolutely incompetent. THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO NOTARIZE A TRUE COPY OF YOUR LIVE SCAN, DO NOT TRUST THEM. (read below) I had scheduled an appointment with SCV live scan a few weeks ago, they set it up for 9 o'clock in the morning. I arrived and no one was there by 9:10, so I left and returned on another date. I told them about this, figuring it was miscommunication, but they insisted that they were there. I know what I saw, they weren't there, still I gave them a chance as I need my live scan completed and notarized. Big mistake. Right off the bad they had no idea how to perform the livescan service I had requested. They called the company to get it fixed and were EXTREMELY rude and agitated toward the assistant, constantly berating him for not helping them faster. It took hours upon hours for them just to get the software running and for them to understand how the process worked. In the meantime they took other customers and HALTED the process of the software having to be downloaded, restarting the process. Then comes the worst part, the notarization. In order to notarize my document as a true copy, they not only didn't include the "criminal background affidavit" which is a separate paper that is attached to the background check. They also forgot the STAMP which is what all notaries include on vital documents. When the company I sent my documents too received the papers, they were rejected almost immediately due to lack of notarization. This could have cost me my job, but the company in question asked me to simply do it again. The whirlwind doesn't end there, I called SCV live scan immediately once I heard my documents had been rejected. Unfortunately, I was only met with rudeness, a new employee said straight up "We don't notarize live scans", which I then had to explain to them that they in fact DO notarize true copies as I had it done the prior week. They then told me to bring in the old documents (which were long gone to my business and erased by FBI records) for them to notarize and they would do it again. I said Thank you, and hung up. What a disgrace. I urge all to avoid this live scan and notary and instead find an alternative. read more

Wow I don't know what happened with the other reviewers, but I got a female employee named Angie (spelling?) who was very helpful. I needed to get my livescan fingerprint DOJ and FBI for my pharmacist license. I walked in with no appointment and Angie helped me immediately with no wait and was very nice, fast & efficient. I think it was around $70 (not sure). I was running late to mail it in with my paperwork and she was nice enough to even photocopy my receipt for me so I could save time and go straight to the post office. I also got my passport photo taken here (around $14, I think- which is about what I paid at CVS and Walgreens since I've gotten it done at those locations before). I HIGHLY recommend doing it here as opposed to a post office (long wait) or drug stores. They take it super fast in one go at the drug stores and you don't even get to see it before they print it. Angie took more than one picture and showed it to me to make sure I was happy with the picture before she printed it. She even said if I need to resubmit my application/paperwork again later to just come back here and she can redo the services for free! I already referred someone for his passport photo here and we're very satisfied customers. I will definitely come back! read more
