It's been 3 years of dealing with this company's sub-par workmanship. I have been holding off all this time because my wife gave them the benefit of a doubt, however, after constant issues for 3 years with the AC installation and function, and the amount of time they took to install our solar panels, plus fix all the quirks that came with it, I can no longer ignore it. The amount of money they may save you is not not enough based on the amount of time you have to deal with them being constantly in your house repairing what a handy-man and professionals can do once. They are great sales people, I must give them that, I couldn't find their split snake tongue fast enough! This company surely missed out on all other additional work we had planned out for our house and our property. We are much more careful with who we hire now, and trust more on those handyman advertisements you see on trucks on the freeway all the time. BTW, when I texted the CEO about this being a 3 year unwelcome ceremony of having to fix our AC once again, the CEO tried to pass the responsibility of the company's shortcomings to someone else instead of putting herself in our shoes of what we have to deal with every year. Back in the days, she was quick to personally pick up the check at the beginning of the job, but never again has she shown up after all these 3 years with all the issues we've gone through! Do not use this company! Nothing but issues which we have had to call them back for time and again due to the warranty. Now we have discovered there is a live wire that was never connected during their faulty installation. How did we discover it? It sparked! It could have started a fire in our home. I attach photos so you can see how they leave the wiring exposed and laying on the ground. We offered what we felt was a fair resolution. They declined and did not even offer to come and fix the installation. They offered nothing! We will now have to take them to arbitration due to gross negligence. Got the guarantee I wanted from another company first ask, without any of the accusations and hostility. Original review - I was communicative and explicit about the exact day I was buying solar. I found the manager of the person helping me to be especially condescending - full agreement with a couple of the other recent posters here. If you can't or won't commit to a deadline for the tasks for which you are responsible after accepting a deposit (e.g. ATO submission), it certainly doesn't mean others won't. Really bad experience. I'm reposting this review prompted by suggestions from Yelp. On November 22, 2021, we had ECO Construction rep "Anthony" to our home to discuss rebuilding our water-damaged kitchen. During the initial phone conversation, we perceived Anthony as being overly interested in knowing the dollar amount our insurance provider had given us for repairs, as well as having an unexplained focus on installing solar panels. In hindsight, his focus at this point should have been a red flag. After all, we needed no solar and a simple job quote should have no correlation to our bank balance. During Anthony's visit, we thought it peculiar he failed to ask of anything our kitchen may require (another red flag). During our discussion, he also stated pictures would be taken. Just before his departure, he had to be reminded to take the pictures (another red flag that he was unfocused). After taking a few pictures, he stated he would send our proposal "soon". After almost 3 weeks of waiting and direct inquiries to Anthony as to when our proposal would be sent, we were answered only with more requests of how much insurance money we had and excuses of "we're really busy right now". We were still puzzled as to how the dollar amount of a homeowner's insurance compensation could possibly delay a proposal. On December 10th, (still no proposal had been sent) Anthony offered the email address of Mr. Tusakhov and stated we could interact directly with him to acquire the proposal. If we were able to contact Mr. Tusakov directly, why did Anthony make himself such a roadblock for almost 3 weeks? I guess we'll never know. In emails with Mr. Tusakhov, he assured the emailing of our proposal by December 14th. Unfortunately, and much to our further disappointment, the month of January passed with no further contact from Mr. Tusakhov. At the time this review was originally posted we had spent 41 days waiting on ECO to exhibit anything resembling follow through on getting a project proposal from not one, but two employees. At that point, we had resigned ourselves to the reality that this company had done nothing but waste our time. Do yourself a favor and bypass these people, as we did. If you still wish to roll the dice, at the very least make sure Anthony and Mr. Tusakhov are excluded from being involved in your project, as both are clearly ineffective components of the industry. Reply to Jeanie H.'s response of 5/24/2023: "Steve, I'm sorry after 2 years you are still thinking about"- During the period of time between my original post & its repost we didn't dwell on your mistreatment. We disassociated ourselves & moved on as cited above. "we chose not to work with you"-To reiterate, the reverse is true as cited above. Clearly you know nothing of interactions between us & your staff. "issues with 3 other contractors"-Anthony was the first to our home so it was not possible there were "3 other contractors". Clearly you know nothing of interactions between us & your staff. "refused to provide your insurance information"-After being directed to Mr. Tusakhov at no time did he voice a need for more info. Clearly you know nothing of interactions between us & your staff. "Carbon copy negative reviews." - My history shows no such reviews exist. I am requesting you leave in place your disparaging remark about me & your wish I "acquire a hobby" to keep me from publishing mistreatment such as yours. After all, life is too short to waste it on negative energy, so allow the public to have exposure to the darker aspect of ECO ownership so informed decisions can be made about bypassing such negative energy. I just finished a good sized project with Eco Construction and Energy. These guys were fantastic. The solar project went stellar. I got endless proposals and theirs was the best overall. They got the panels so quickly that I couldn't believe it. And they were commercial panels - huge, which produce more electricity, cost less to install, involves less purchase of inverters, and really come with no downside. Also, and I cannot emphasize this enough, whereas Baker Electric told me to replace the roof paper, these guys went on my roof and looked at the paper and told me it's in perfect condition. Their exact words were "We can take your money and replace the paper, but you don't need it." And I realized why Baker wanted me to replace it. It's one more payment line item for them, and then the 10 year leak protection warranty becomes cost free for them, because they'll have just changed the paper. I get the same warranty from Eco without incurring the unnecessary expense. They did it so fast and so nicely, and I couldn't be happier. They also installed panoramic doors and windows on the backside of my house. They saw that Anderson panoramic windows and doors were so expensive, and so they researched and found that Panoramic Doors provides really quality product at a lower cost. And they took me to the showroom and they explained it all to me. These doors and windows are supported from the bottom, so they have far fewer problems. Almost all the other products are suspended from the top, and that's where all the problems come in. And Eco shared with me all invoices they got from the Panoramic Doors company, so everything was fully transparent. The final install of the the panoramic doors/windows was flawless, the workers were so clean, polite, communicative, professional, and capable. I was actually considering taking out the back wall and doing the whole thing panoramic. Instead of talking me into it, Eco talked me out of it. They said that if I did that, then I'd have to redo my entire landscape or it wouldn't look right, and at the end of all that investment (architectural retrofit, more panoramic doors, upgrading the landscape and concrete, etc) I would never get my money back when I someday want to sell the home. Once again they were more interested in positive outcomes for me than just getting more of my money. I also toyed with doing just the sliding glass door and they said they wouldn't do it, because the windows would be original and the room wouldn't look right - and they wouldn't put their name on a bad project. Their feedback was spot on. Throughout, these guys were so engaged, so hands on, so communicative, and any tiny issues that came up were immediately addressed. My background is procurement, negotiations, contract law, and cost & total cost analysis... so my feedback is as a practitioner and as a customer. I highly recommend Jeanie and Gian over at Eco Construction and Energy for incredible work, competitive rates, and fantastic customer service and project management. Two thumbs, way up. read more

11 estimates ,($23000-$43000), totally panicking because it was the week before net metering 3 took effect, I found ECO and Jeanie's gang. I desperately wanted solar on my house and our rental property which is next door, but I wanted to lock into Net metering 2. If I couldn't I would only do solar on my house. They locked both properties for net metering 2 and completed the installation tion on my house in October. The rental property is still pending (SDG&E). They have done an excellent job! I followed all the necessary things to get a proposal, talked for weeks and asked for a face to face appointment multiple times but nothing came out of it. It was as if they wanted to play tag. Also the guy I talked to would go ask another guy who knew the answers I asked.. I was like; Why aren't I talking to someone who is more knowledgeable on the product and needs to the project? But I stayed to be patient with Eugen but multiple times he'd say you call back but didn't and it's been over a week and nothing. Maybe Eugen or whatever his name was.. I say this cause I'm sure it was some guy with a G name and I swear he was Italian but maybe Eugen was in training and I got the guy with the least amount of knowledge. Clearly my business isn't important to them. I question how they weren't willing to meet to face to face. That alone I question their business practices. Plus they didn't mention the plug we would need to have the necessary panels to fit our need. Which I found out from a better company who was willing to meet in person. Another thing I didn't care for he told he was going on a 3 week vacation and wanted to finish this before he left. Personally if that's true.. Maybe Eugen you should pass the project off to someone else who would help me better and won't rush such important project. ECE Installed a 12kw solar power system without a battery on my roof. They basically accomplished what they initially communicated in terms of budget, types of panels and inverters, and timeline. The design was done by a subcontractor but the rest of the installations were done by an in-house team with a foreman of over a decade of experience. The owner Jeanie is great at communication and usually very responsive to any questions during the entire process and the sales team led by Gian was very knowledgeable. I personally like to do my own research and do not like to spend time listening to an unnecessary sales pitch. I hence especially like their no-nonsense style of communication and I contracted them without any in-person meetings. There was one incident during the installation that I was not satisfied with the arrangement of the conduits and they quickly made the correction the following day.
