Raul and His team brought me out of retirement from writing reviews on Yelp for several reasons. Raul is communicative, attentive and explains things to me in full Detail in plain English without AC jargon. The problem I had was that I live in a two story townhouse The air return unit was centralized in the middle of the house in a closet on the first floor. The air would be forced to all five vents downstairs due to the set up from the Original floor plan. It was poorly designed. None of the air would travel upstairs. Hot air travels up and we were miserable during April to September. It forced us to spend time downstairs and sleep horribly for 7 years waking up in sweat. I contacted him and he came out a couple of days later to look things over and ultimately explained what I mentioned above. He indicated the solution and permanent fix would be to move the air return in the attic with new duct work to increase Air Force and air pressure. One of the things that set him apart was that I had contacted five yes five other companies over the span of three years because it was an ongoing issue during the summer months and in Southern California thats practically 6/8 months of the year. Those five companies would come out and tell me we could a b c d e f g (but that might not fix it) none of which said Raul's solution. He talked about increasing the ducts and making them modern material flexible instead of the old outdated material I had. Talked about adding bigger vents/registers and two returns for optimal air circulation and flow. The knowledge and the breakdown is what initially sold me, then he gave me the estimate price of the work to be and I was truthful with him that it was out of my wife's and I budget and i wouldnt be able to do it. I asked if he could be flexible with the cost or provide alternative solutions which he without hesitation said he could put something together on a more economic plan that would still resolve our issue. He asked for two days or so to run the numbers so he could be happy and so we could be happy He came back with a better price for which the price he gave was a steal in my eyes in comparison for the amount of work he was charging me for (all mentioned above) and more importantly the amount of work the five others were charging me for. The work load and price point was night and day when I looked at the prior estimates I received. Taking all that into consideration it was a no brainer that we agreed to it. The price point was at my absolute limit on what we could afford for the ac project. And Raul was able to work with me Raul and his team were out at my house earlier this week and showed up on time with his crew. They were all courteous and respectful they communicated with me all through out the day The project was completed about 11 hours later with a huge snag in the results. Heres the thing about these projects you never know whats going to happen. I asked Raul initially if moving the air return to the attic would it ruin my airflow downstairs to the five vents that would shove out air with force and he promised it wouldnt be the case. Well unfortunately for him and me that was the case. Not by his fault or his crew but in running the set up the air wouldnt pump out of the five vents downstairs and their crew found the problem. Once the air return was removed and they can check the ceiling for the duct work they identified two 90 degree elbows back to back that restricts the air flow coming down. So perhaps thats what caused the airflow to be restricted to go up and the location of the air return would force almost all the air to pump out and be dumped out immediately. As you can imagine I was pretty pissed off spending thousands of dollars to be told my problem is now in reverse when I was promised it wouldnt be the case, but as a home owner you have to realize stuff happens and nothing in this life is guaranteed despite how many times things have been done. I calmed down but Raul was visually upset at the results which comforted me knowing he cared about the end results. Ultimately we talked it over for maybe 45 minutes and cooler heads prevailed His coming back out next week to fix the issue on my first floor its not his fault it was a freak chain of events but he gave me a considerable discount on the labor and parts. So you may ask why Am I writing the review if the 2nd half of the project is incomplete Because him and his Crew delivered above and beyond on the work we agreed above My wife and I have been able to sleep comfortable these last two days the 2nd floor and have complete faith he will come Monday and fix the new issue Im giving him and his crew the confidence that they deserve well before the work is done because they showed me they are professional honest and not thieves seeking to line their pockets with my hard earned money. They came out quickly to check out our unit and confirmed we did need to replace the old unit. They provided a quote to replace our AC unit and their price was way better than the other place. This company was amazing! We initially called them to service our AC unit. While they were here my husband mentioned that we were planning to insulate our house. Our home is two story and gets super hot. We have AC but it was not effective because of the lack of insulation. Raul suggested we may want to consider moving the unit to the attic to allow for better airflow rather than the air having to go up just to come down. He hand delivered the estimate the following day. the amount of work they were doing compared to the other companies for just the insulation wasn't much more money than we had planned on spending. They did the job quickly and for a fair price. They didn't try to upsell us or encourage us to buy a whole new unit. They just mentioned that we had a great unit that was not reaching its full potential based on the original installation. So now this wife is very happy. My laundry room no longer is taken up by a huge unit and tubes, the unit is in the attic and I don't have to turn up the tv when it is on. We called several different contractors for quotes and Rudy Hernandez the regional manager gave us the comfort we were looking for, the package we wanted, and the price we needed. The crew mobilized within a week and installed 1 intake, 9 vents, condenser, coil, and blower / furnace in our home within 2 days. We had nothing existing and a very small crawl / attic space constructed in our 1922 home which made the job challenging and some contractors would not bid the work. They also kept our house very clean during all of this work. They laid high quality tread carpets to walk on and wrapped areas to stay clean during all of the draw wall they had to cut. Part of our requirements was to have the system tested by a third party and permitted by the city. Eco Fresh gladly accepted and did not charge additional for these services and incurred cost on their end. I would recommend them for your HVAC needs. read more

I would give business zero stars if I could. To start with they showed up 2 hours late. The techs were supposed to investigated a HVAC system that is having some really bad noise problems and to hook up a furnace that had been disconnected. They literally. Turned it off and on for 1 minite and said it was all good. Any legitimate Hvac tech would have run the equipment for a long and do a check of everything, including duck work, compressor, insulation issues. They would have gotten to the bottom of what was going on. They then said that they didn't know they were supposed to Look at the furnace and too hook it back up to the gas. Their inspection was a joke and And not legit. You can not do a compete examination of hvac pro Kanu By Turing on an system for 1 min And then turn it off and say all good. In my opinion is company Is unethical, or Their techs. I would never hire this company. Their are many high end companies out there. Go find one. read more

My heat went out suddenly so I called in an HVAC company. They told me that I needed to change my unit ASAP and spend thousands that I didn't have. I reached out to Eco Fresh for a second opinion and got an appointment early next day. Raul came on time, wore a mask and booties. He tried to troubleshoot a few things first then finally said that we would need to replace two parts, but would need to check if they can find it in stock. I got a call later that morning and said they found the parts and can come back the same day. Raul came back and was able to fix our heat! He saved the day! I cannot recommend Eco Fresh HVAC, and specifically John Mattson, enough. When we purchased our house, we knew that our furnace had been recalled, though we didn't know why. John arrived to identify the reason for the recall. He explained the issue in very clear terms that I could understand, giving me pros and cons to different solutions. I was impressed the level of professionalism in his answers, as well as patience with all my questions. We opted to replace the furnace as I felt that this was the safest solution to the problem. (He showed me instances online of where our same model of furnace would spontaneously catch fire.) Additionally, we replaced one of our three A/C units (something we had planned to do anyway.) I had thought that we would need to replace two of the three units, but John was able to service the second unit in such a manner that it saved us the replacement cost. I'm thrilled with the results. John has since checked in periodically to see how our units are running, and to even remind us to replace our filters - and trained me how to do it! I felt as though I was an informed decision-maker in the process rather than being railroaded into purchasing things I didn't necessarily need. When you request a quote he sends this auto response asking a million questions and when you answer them it takes hours for them to respond. After that his "come out and inspect fee" is higher then everyone else's his is 80 compared to 60-65 and with my experience he was also the last to reply. So most expensive and last to reply. Plus his schedule as far as availability was also the worst. So for first impression not so great. He was friendly though. So I gave him 3 I updated to 4 clearly you are trying your best.. I get the auto response deal. But yours was the only one w soooo many questions. And honestly when we are stressed it just seemed overwhelming at the onset and to not hear back until way later is just kinda like what's the point of all the questions... but I appreciate your response here. I get you are busy. But hey so is everyone else. If you want to referrals from a Yelp you have to work the process. And this is the process. We look you up we call or message you reply quickly. And simply. With your auto reply if you look at it it's lengthy, compared to everyone else's. And if I'm giving you all that time and effort and you don't reply, I'm just annoyed. Overall Upstanding "Grade A" Service! I called Eco Fresh to schedule a simple free quote. Jenny was a gem! She is very nice, and although I called right before closing time she was able to schedule me in for an appointment the next morning in Garden Grove! The next day, Martin, arrived right on time and ready to go! I was amazed at how sincere he was and his level of expertise is astounding. He was able to tell me exactly what was wrong with the unit and exactly how to remedy the issue. The fix was VERY INEXPENSIVE and VERY QUICK! It's scary to say but there's a lot of companies out there that would give you the run-around and practically sell you a new system if they could get away with it. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the service Eco Fresh provided for me in the middle of one of the hottest summers on record. I just bought my house in Fullerton in March, and it turns out that the HVAC ductwork under the house was a complete disaster. I contacted a number of companies to quote the job. Two companies did not respond. Two companies said they could quote the job, but could not schedule the work before the fall. Eco Fresh sent me an estimate on Thursday. I signed the estimate on Friday. They came out to measure the vents on Monday and they had two engineers at my house to complete the project on Tuesday. The two gentlemen that worked on my house were fantastic. They removed all the old ductwork, installed all new ductwork with seven independent destinations. They also sealed the flow from the from my 5 ton HVAC unit to the intake and outtake vents feeding the ductwork, and then replaced every vent in the house. When one of the vents provided ended up being the wrong size, they called the office to order the new size and then waited for the correct vent to be delivered before they left the property. They left my property immaculate. I highly recommend Eco Fresh HVAC. Eco Fresh HVAC will be my first call for service, maintenance, or replacement of my HVAC unit. I searched far and wide for these guys, with about 15 estimates from other well known companies. Our 1920's house was a challenge with two stories, no ducts and my desire to choose a great working system to fit in with our house aesthetically, inside and out. There were endless possibilities/configurations to consider from ductless to HVAC and a mixture of both. All the other estimates and ideas for the layout from other companies were not sitting well with me. Finally, I got a tip from someone who had just hired Eco Fresh HVAC and recommended them. After my call, Rudy came out the next day and Martin also came out another day for a second opinion to recommend strategies for design and installation. Here is how they won the bid; 1. They were straight forward and honest in their approach. 2. They had the best suggestions to help solve some of the design obstacles that were vexing me. 3. They had one of the best prices. We ended up choosing 2 separate Daikin ductless systems for the upstairs and downstairs. They came out and finished the job in two days and really went the extra mile to install, with aesthetics in mind. I did have an issue with installation a month down the road with coolant loss in the downstairs system. They came out the next day identified the bug and fixed it with no charge under their two-year work warranty. My husband and I are over the moon with the Daikin system and how well Eco Fresh HVAC executed this installation. I'm a little late in writing this review but I would be remiss if I didn't post this as I have done my extensive due diligence when it comes to HVAC services so I want everyone to benefit from my experience. Over the last few years I have had a few companies come out to help me improve my cooling system. One company thought I just needed more Freon, which didn't work and another company thought I needed my insulation replaced. When I called Eco Fresh I was anticipating getting another quote for the insulation replacement but when they came out they had a different proposal. While they were happy to give me a quote for what I asked for, they let me know that they had a different recommendation, which made COMPLETE sense to me immediately and I still to this day cannot understand how the other companies didn't see it. My system was not only old but didn't have the proper returns or vents so basically the system was underperforming for years. When it was originally installed it wasn't done the right way so I was dealing with an inefficient cooling system and didn't even realize it. In addition, they helped me understand my options to either modify my existing system to perform at its optimal level or replace with a much more efficient model, with very affordable financing plans. Let me take a minute to acknowledge John. He was seriously amazing. He knows what he is doing and what to recommend. He summed up my situation in 2 minutes where others took HOURS to tell me nothing that was helpful. John provided me with options and took his time answering my questions. There was zero pressure, in fact, he left without a commitment giving me time to think through my options and which investment was best for me. He was available afterwards for lingering questions and when I finally scheduled the work, he made sure to stop by to oversee the installation and to make sure I was a happy customer. I cannot say enough good things about John and the role he played - seriously top notch!! Someone else I want to acknowledge is Rudy. He thoroughly explained my financing options and helped me better understand which options were best for me as I was on the fence. We worked with Rudy to give us estimate for Ductless Split AC unit first and then Rudy suggested us to check Central AC option as well. He explained us about all rebates we would be qualified for through Energy.GOV and also how whole system will work. We decided to go for Central Air instrumental as estimate was within our budget and Rudy was also able to give us credit for existing wall furnaces and through the wall AC units. Day before installation Martin came to inspect house to check all installation points and measurements. They just finished installing Central Air Conditioning system today within 9-10 hours. There were 6-7 friendly guys working together and finished job excellent and also cleaned our house after they finished. They also covered all furniture in house before starting work.
