After quickly fixing the issue, he realized I didn't have required GFI's in several locations and suggested I have this done. Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in every way! He explained what he was doing at every step and kept me informed of progress. Best of all, the cost was so minimal for the work done that I had reverse sticker shock! Bye-bye "other" electric company that ripped me off - Johnson Electric and Mike are my new go-to electricians! Thank you Mike - it was a real pleasure chatting with you.

My bf was at home with him while I was at work, so I did not see the end result until Mike was gone. He got the light hanging, I'll give him that, but he left the cords and chains all bunched, 2 out of 3 of the globes broken (just found that when we had to take it back down ourselves), and he has not responded to either of my texts about adjusting anything. Now I have to call another electrician to redo how the cord is wound thru the chain because it is firmly anchored on both ends so I can't, and I'm afraid of my light being further damaged. I feel like I need to send electrician #2 back up in the attic as well to check behind Mike and ensure that he did the part in the ceiling that we cannot see correctly. Mike is unprofessional, dismissive and does not stand by his work, I suspect because he was aware that he broke the 2 globes when he hung my light, didn't say anything & just took my money and washed his hands. I will never be doing business with Johnson Electrical & Power again (not that Mike cares or he'd answer my text), and I'll be sharing this shameful experience with everyone I know.

Two years ago Premier installed a 24kW Generac standby generator at our home. Today, I learned that…read moreALL of the circuit breakers they installed in the two transfer switch panels were non-compliant with the manufacturers specifications. The breakers appear to be the GE breakers that were in the prior main electrical panels, and they just reused them. I only discovered this because we were having a 90 AMP breaker that feeds a sub-panel trip randomly over the last several weeks. It seems the GE breakers that are commonly used in home electrical systems do not fit properly into the Generac transfer switch panels as they do not seat properly on the bus bar and they fail to establish a tight, uniform mechanical connection. A thermal camera assessment showed the 90 AMP breaker to be very hot. Premier did send a tech out to replace the breakers with spec approved breakers today, but my conversation with the GM was underwhelming. There was no hint of contrition in his voice. It was as if he was doing me a favor by making it right like it should have been from day 1. They directly violated Generac's explicit installation guidelines.

Long review, but worth the read. I do not recommend this company. In my experience, they do not do…read morewhat they say they will do, they do not respect people's time or money, and most concerning of all, I still do not know if the $52,000 generator I purchased even works or is safe. The sales process was actually very good in the beginning. Everyone was friendly, informative, and easy to work with. Up until installation, I had no major concerns. This was not a small purchase either. Even after discounts, this whole-home generator project cost over $52,000, so I expected a much higher level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. The problems started when I began getting conflicting and incorrect information. I would research things on my own, call to verify, and politely ask for confirmation. Each time, I was told the information I found was wrong, so I trusted them as the "experts." That trust became a problem on installation day. The concrete pad looked undersized to me, so I specifically asked multiple times if it was correct. Three different people confirmed it was. Then, on installation day, they realized it was in fact the wrong size. Instead of stopping the project, they started the install anyway and told me it would take two days. It did not. They had to pour more concrete, let it cure, and come back later, which delayed completion by nearly two weeks. When they finally "finished," no one clearly communicated that the project was complete, explained how the system worked, or even confirmed it was operational. I was left wondering if they were still coming back. From day one, I asked if they handled all electrical and gas inspections, and I was told yes. About a month after installation, the city contacted me to say the work had never been inspected. I called the company and was told, "Sorry, we'll get that inspection done." That is unacceptable. If the city had never called me, the gas line may have never been inspected, which is a serious safety issue. There were also multiple quality and damage issues during installation: * Two items under my house were broken and had to be repaired * Protective shielding on wiring was cut in multiple places * Landscape lighting was run over and damaged * Overall, there was very little attention to detail To make matters worse, they said they would come back to show me how everything worked and go over inspections. I blocked off time from work for the appointment. When they were already late, I texted and was told they were "5 minutes away." After waiting another 20-25 minutes, I texted again and was then told they would be "a little later." I had already rearranged meetings for this appointment, and they still could not show up on time. Now here I am, nearly two months after I was originally told this project would be completed, and I still do not know if this generator even works. I have never been properly shown how to operate it, never been given confidence it is safe, and I have had to ask every question myself because communication has been so poor. After being told they handled inspections, I now have to pay out of pocket for my own independent gas and electrical inspections just to make sure everything was done correctly. At this point, I basically have a $52,000 metal box sitting in my backyard and no confidence that it is safe or functional. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The sales team was great, but the installation, communication, follow-through, and safety concerns were unacceptable.

It was late so I pulled over and did some homework... these lights were going to derate my truck in a few hours! I found this Cummins location a couple hours out from where I was in Chattanooga, TN. I got a hotel room for the night in that town & was in their truck yard the next morning before the break of dawn praying they could squeeze me in and help me 1st thing. Someone found me out there and brought me in where I was greeted by Eric Tanker, the Service Manager before they were even open! Eric listened to me and reassured me they were there to help. He introduced me to May, who had just started working there and she was phenomenal. She was able to do a quick diagnostic & get the information over to Daniel in the office. Daniel verified the TRP code I gave him that I thought I needed from doing my homework to get home. Once he arrived at the same solution, he had Matt the technician start on my truck right away. Then, as I'm waiting in the lounge May came up to update me and handed me an information sheet that stated this was a known issue, how to work around it for now, what to do at each fill up, next steps to fix it down the road, & that THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE to me for any of it! They had me fixed & back on the road that morning, I couldn't believe it. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone I interacted with seemed to enjoy their job and were happy to help. It was an amazing experience and I am SO grateful that I landed here for help.

I told them I need to leave my house by 9:30am to open my store at 10:00am. I get a text at 8:30am telling me the tech is on the way. I call in and talk to sone guy, and tell them he was supposed to be here at 8:00am, and was told he's still about 45 minutes away. The guy on the phone said he didn't realize I was in EST. I made the comment that it's always an excuse with them, his response was, "This is the 1st time I've talked to you."... True but I've spoken with many there, and they always have an excuse. I am given a choice, either wait or cancel. The arrogance of the guy on the phone, I told him to cancel, and I'll find another company to fix my generator. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 3/26/2026: The tech was supposed to be here yesterday (3/25) afternoon. Never showed up, but I did get a call at 8:00pm to let me know that he wasn't going to make, but I would get a call from dispatch tomorrow. Received the call, and was told he was on his way. I'm sorry, some of us have work, and can't drop what we are doing to be at your beckon call. They rescheduled for Tuesday (3/31) as the first call... He is supposed to be here at 8:00am. I'm not holding out high hopes... We'll see. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE 3/20/2026: I guess they are going come out next week to double check that there's an issue. Wow... Let's hurry up and wait to get the issue with my very expensive whole home generator. I have no idea if or when it will be fixed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE 3/16/2026: They finally came out, and needed to order a part. That was 2 weeks ago have not heard from them. I had a power outage last night, and was standing out in the rain and wind at 2:00am to manually turn on my generator. Then I had to take the panel off this morning to manually flip the transfer switch back to city power after I turned the generator off. The original issue happened on Jan 22nd, and it's now March 16th. I'm coming on 3 months of not having a properly working system. I just hung up with them, and they said they are waiting to hear back, and will call me tomorrow. At this point I wish I could give them less than 1 star. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 weeks ago, my generator turned on, and it transferred over to generator power. I never lost city power. The power company came and tested to make sure it wasn't on their side. I called Cove to come out and figure out what is going on. I was transferred to another company called Pioneer, and was told it would be 2 weeks before anyone would be able to get out. I ended up having to pay a local electrician to figure out what was going on, and get me back on city power. The cold and snow hits, and I get a text from Pioneer, that they are cancelling my service, it's going to be the end of March when they have time to come out and service my generator. Then a couple of days later I get a text that they have opening s at the end of Feb. There was no contact number, and no indication that I can respond to the text. I just took a call from Pioneer to see if I still needed service. Yes, because my generator is still broken. When I originally called, I'm not sure she understood that things were broken, and that the maintenance call was just an add on while they are here. Now that I've hung up with her, I'm not sure she still understood that my system is broken. If I hadn't paid out of my own pocket I would have been on generator for well over a month waiting for them to come out and fix my generator. This is a complete and total failure in service. After they come out and fix the generator, I will be looking for a new company to take over my service contract.

Good thing too because it needed a new battery. They were very helpful in going over the generator with us and answering all our questions. We highly recommend Cove Generators, and we have to our neighbors. They are honest, quick in responding to customers and genuinely nice people. They have great people working for them and we would trust them for any of our generator needs.
