The usual result is that the car smells like Armor All for a few days, and otherwise it's not much different. I'm *so* glad I finally took my 13-year-old car to Details Plus! Today I picked up my car from their Clear Choice side of the business after getting a full front-end clearbra installed. First of all, their work is again outstanding, with great attention to detail. Also, they have ditched 3M in favor of Suntek PPK for the film used, and I have to say I am very impressed. I've had 3M before, and always it ended up being a bit foggy, with noticeable orangepeel when you could actually get it to shine. Bug splats were next to impossible to remove. The Suntek film is "self-healing" -- pour hot water on it and it smooths out the inevitable swirls and marks that can appear over time. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out, but so far it looks far better than I ever expected. If anything, the car shines more, and there's no way you can see there's a film on it unless you can spot an edge. Clear Choice/Details Plus is on the higher end, cost-wise. But it's worth the difference, and they stand by their work. I've been generally fortunate in my past experiences with other vendors, but I've seen far too many botched jobs to skimp on something like this.

I had…read morecleaned the interior myself a few times and always seemed to vacuum it when I would wash it but after almost 4 years, it was looking like a used car. I wanted it to look new again and that's exactly what he was able to do. The interior looks brand new. My golden retriever had gotten hair at everybody that has ever had a gold that knows how much hair they get off and I was shocked at how much hair was in the back. Now I look back there and there's not one here. It's totally clean. He also talked me into a nice wax on the exterior and now when you drive up to my truck, it looks absolutely brand new. All the little paint, transfers, and door dings I paid extra. I have him get off. I have very low expectation that they would go away, but when I walked up after he cleaned it. I had to look to see where the doors were at. He did an amazing job and I would recommend him to anybody. We also had a company vehicle that the clearcoat had started to fail. When i picked up the car they hadn't even wiped down the inside of the car. I asked him to do it and he did it using no elbow grease and didn't go over the inside again when I asked. I had to take the bottle and rag from him and do it myself. On the drive back to my daughter's apartment I found more and more that wasn't cleaned and lots of dust left behind. I paid almost $400 for a job I could have had done at a regular car wash and they would have done a better job. I would not recommend them and I would not take my car to this shop. I was taken advantage of and overcharged for a basic car wash and vacuuming.
