We used Ecoblu to build a pool and spa in our backyard a few years ago. Every year around this time I'm starting to use the pool again and I'm reminded of what a bad choice that was. 1. The round spa is built next to the pool and would have been lovely except only half of the outside of the spa was tiled. Unfortunately the tiled side was the side facing the house behind us and the solid cement side was facing the house. It looked really ugly. When I asked the owner why he made that choice he said to save money. Of course, why did he choose to tile the side facing AWAY from the house? Initially I thought that wasn't too smart but then I realized maybe it was very smart because of course we had to pay them to tile the ugly cement side facing the house. Of course he didn't communicate any of this to us. 2. The steps into the pool and spa are very narrow and steep. I'm only in my 60s but it's already very difficult for me to get in and out of the spa and pool. At some point I am going to have to drain the pool and redo the steps. Will be very expensive. Hired for cleaning spa every week. Missed several weeks and said they had been there. Spa turned green with algae. When I emailed them, owner's wife suggested I look for someone else to clean my spa. It's easy to find someone else to clean a spa weekly. I told them they were fired and notified MasterCard not to accept any further charges from this company. I always say the true test of a business is in an emergency. While our emergency wasn't extremely dire, it was to us. We have a Pentair pool pump that was installed in October 2020 but our installer is no longer available to us for repairs. Our pool filtration system was suffering from power failures, communication failures, and schedule failures along with lack of suction. Pentair directly referred us to EcoBlu. We called them because our pool servicer wasn't comfortable with fixing the pump without cancelling the warranty. I called Taylor at EcoBlu who was cool, calm, confident, and so nice to work with. She made feel like I called the right place. She schedule Nick Huber to come and take a look at our entire pump system. Nick spent a lot of time with us and our pool system. He is a detail oriented person and even labeled all the pump pipes so at least now we have a roadmap what all the pipes are for. Nick reviewed the entire system and looked at our filter. We apparently had a plugged up pipe from the mesquite tree debris along with debris at the base of the filter. He cleaned all of that out for us, checked the pump schedule, made great improved recommendations for run time, and our pool looks brand new again! Nick was super informative, easy to talk to, made us feel we made a GREAT choice in calling EcoBlu. We are looking forward to transferring our servicing to them as their pricing is really competitive. We will be resting better at night knowing we have a great company partnering with us to make our pool one of our favorite yard features again! Thank you!! read more

We contracted EcoBlu Pools of CareFree, Az to resurface our 20 yr old pool and spa, update the technology, new filtration, and new color lighting. The work was performed timely and supervised directly by the owner insuring work was done to their standards. Kevin, the owner, helped us select equipment, added finishing touches with tile, and advised us on color scheme The Technician staff were also cheerful, energized and skilled in their work. I am rarely one to write reviews. However, EcoBlu Pools deserves a FIVE STARS shoutout for their unwavering and relentless efforts to resolve an ongoing issue with my spa which three (3) other pool service companies, a Rooter company as well as a national brand air leak detection firm were all unable to locate the issue and repair over a five week period and countless hours; costing me considerable dollars to no avail. Much to my dismay, the consensus was that we would have to tear out the concrete as a last resort in order to identify why the spa was not priming. Needless to say, this was an extreme option which did not sit well. As a last resort, I reached out to a realtor friend, Joanie Barreiro, with Russ Lyon Sotheby's, Desert Mountain, who highly recommended EcoBlu Pools - as she has referred them on countless occasions to trouble shoot similar issues. Fast forward one day following my call and the owner, Kevin, was on premises with two fantastic crew members, shovels and tools in hand, locating and resolving the issue within a handful of hours! These gentlemen were professional, confident in their know how - as they specialize in pool design and construction - and knowing the costly frustration I experienced, charged me a very reasonable fee for their efforts - saving me thousands of dollars as a result. I do not wish the experience I endured upon anyone but as I understand such issues are a fairly common occurrence, I cannot stress enough that the ONLY company to call within the Scottsdale/Phoenix market is EcoBlu Pools. I am so glad we picked them! The owner was here everyday making sure the job was going as planned. He really helped us pick out tiles and the Pebble Tech. We were at his store for 1/12 hours and couldn't make a decision. He came in and within a few minutes he picked out exactly what we wanted. Whew! I'm giving a two star review because of the positive reviews from other people and the fact that I was never able to actually see their work. I called to have a complete remodel done as the pool has been sitting empty for years. I stated this when talking to the person on the phone. They said they would call me back and let me know a time that someone could come out. An hour later when we are in the middle of moving things from the moving truck someone shows up unannounced. After explaining to the woman three times that it was for remodel and having her question if we wanted a quote for service she continued to give me a quote for service...... all while looking at an empty severely cracked pool. While speaking with this person who showed up unannounced the company called my cell phone. When the person left I called them back and of course they won't answer the phone. Just unprofessional, unreliable and uneducated. I did leave a message and haven't heard back. The woman said she would have a quote over to me in a couple days...I don't think she had the experience to give a construction quote. read more

Do not use this company, as they will not tell you that there is a service charge for an estimate. NO other pool companies charge a service call to give an estimate, but I guess this is the only way this company can make any money. Would not recommend calling them. read more
