I was fortunate to have be able to secure a same day service appt this week. Our small hot tub is 6 years old and suddenly it would trip our GFI and turn off. So we got lucky and had the owner, Chris, come out to fix our hot tub He was able to rule out a dead motor. Turns out he was able to diagnose that heater was failing and was tripping the GFI. He replaced the heater and once again all is well! We are grateful for his skill and professionalism and that they are a licensed and bonded company. I was originally told they were two weeks out to repair a leak in my above ground spa. I got a call the next day and was told they had a cancellation, and they were over within the hour. It turned out it only took some teflon tape and some tightening in the right places and I was only charged the service all fee. David was a most pleasant fellow and highly competent. Our Hot Tub heater stopped working well over a year ago, and once Spring weather hit, we forgot all about it. Now that summer is winding down, the grandkids are looking for warmer water. We've only had the spa less than 4 years, and it has not always performed as expected. Hubby already unhappy with the spa as we bought it brand new, and spent additional costs to meet electrical requirements, only to have it sit there, unusable. We found Aqua Spa and Pool on Yelp. We were encouraged by the reviews, so we gave them a try. We are happy to report that hubby called today and was impressed with the lady he spoke to on the phone. She was able to answer his questions and our timing was perfect- there was a technician in our area already and he was able to come by within 30 minutes! Dave was on time and spent time not only checking out the spa, but also answering my husband's questions and concerns. Dave was very knowledgeable and we discovered our main issue was just a settings adjustment. He was able to show my husband the right settings, but also proper chemical and maintenance procedures. Had these guys come out to give me a second opinion on a jet replacement. For starters they were about 45 mins early based on their window of time they gave me. Now normally this would be awesome, but I was till at work. Not a problem as the tech dived right in looking over the spa and assessing any issues. The tech then waited for me to arrive home as I had some specific things I wanted to point out. As soon as I arrived they were able to address the things I pointed out in short order. Moved into a house with a hot tub that needed some work done. Aqua spa came out to look at it and said I needed a new pump, filter, and detail. I explain to them that I will be splitting the cost with my landlord and she only wants to spend a total of $1,000. I double check that this will get it up and running. The technician says this is all I need to fix to get it fixed. I say okay, They show up and work on it. Hot tub is running fine. Less than two months later the hot tub stops working. I call to let Aqua Spa know that I had recently had the hot tub serviced and it's not working. They charge me $120 to come and look at it. The. Tell me if going to be another $1,000 to replace the pump. I don't know if it was more insulting having to pay $120 to hear they needed to do the same job again or the fact the got me to spend $1,000 for something that doesn't even work and are looking for more money. Then once I thought I was gonna be able to turn it on and heat it up, the breaker kept tripping. I called multiple companies. One came out and never called me back. Yesterday, Chris and Dave came to our home in New River to handle a long overdue warranty repair which had not been handled by the seller of our Coast Spa. After lengthy contact with Coast Spa, they agreed to bring in Aqua Spa to do warranty work that another useless dealer should have handled months ago. A service repair guy came out to our home to take a look at our spa. The power had been tripping off for quite some time. We had a feeling it had to be electrical since the power kept going out. So this guy comes out and literally walks right past the extension cord that we had the spa plugged into. He spends the next 25 minutes wasting time telling stories to my husband about other people's spas. Then he proceeds to loosen a part and creates a leak!!!! He charges us $89 to accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! He had NO CLUE what the hell he was doing, an absolute idiot! We requested to have him quote us how much it would cost to replace the motor because that was the only thing that he could semi come up with.... Well not only did he not contact us with a quote like he said he would, but he calls us 2 weeks later and doesn't even know why he was calling! (True Story!) Anyhow, in the meantime, we actually got in touch with a KNOWLEDGEABLE pool repair guy, let me know if you want his name and number - he's great!! The first thing he asked was how the spa was plugged in. We told him that it was attached to a 60 foot extension cord. That was it!!! He said that the power was tripping because of the extension cord! So we plugged it in directly to an outlet and VOILA! It works! Hasn't tripped in 2 weeks! And we didn't pay a dime! We requested to be reimbursed by the other imbecile that came out the first time and he refused! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING! read more
