I wish I would have decided to hire pest control a long time ago after having Russell come to my home to assist in keeping the scorpions away. I initially contacted them through Yelp and Phil was fast to respond with a quote and had me scheduled the next day. They provide military discount too! We've been using Ecogen Pest Control for about 6 months now and their service has been fantastic! We contacted Ecogen after rats had found a way under our partial in-ground hot tub and chewed through some hoses/wiring, costing a significant amount of money to repair. While I had killed about 10 mice and a few rats on my own around this time (we live in a newer community with frequent construction that drives rats into nearby yards), they had began to avoid my traps. This is when I realized that I could use the help of a professional! After reaching out to a number of companies, we settled on Ecogen due to their low cost, friendly service while quoting us, and great reviews on Yelp. Once their service started (and after we had plugged where the rats were getting under the hot tub), they caught a rat after only a day or so. Because they offer free re-servicing whenever needed, they were able to come by a day later and clear the trap/clean it for its next victim. Sure enough, about a month later, another rat met its demise. Once again, Ecogen was able to come by quickly and clear the trap. Now, we haven't seen mice, rats, or droppings in our yard for months. Due to Ecogen's great service, they've decided to hang out elsewhere. On top of that, I've noticed virtually no crickets in the yard and have yet to notice a black widow (something else that we used to have problems with). On top of that, Ecogen's convenient servicing has made the process so easy! They automatically schedule you for a service appointment every couple of months and let you know via email over a week in advance for proper coordination. If that time works for you, then no reply is required. Then, you'll get a text about a day or two out as a second reminder to leave gates open, etc. Once each service is completed, they send you a full report of the service for your record-keeping and peace of mind. The pesticides that they use are pet friendly and our dog is fine roaming the yard just a couple hours or so after each appointment. We'd recommend Ecogen Pest Control to anyone, especially anybody that has had a rodent problem! read more

After listening to my concerns and inspection that had already been done on a house I am purchasing, Phil suggested I did not need another inspection and took the time to explain why. I was so very impressed. I know if anything comes up once I am the homeowner, I will not hesitate to call Phil at EcoGen. His knowledge and willingness to share it is remarkable. Being new to the Las Vegas Valley last year was an experience in many things. One of those things that I wasn't accustomed to (being from California) are all the critters that live in the desert. We moved to a very new home in the Southwest and thought surely in a new development there shouldn't be bug issues...wrong! After a few months of trying to stave off the critters, I finally found a few scorpions in the house and called around. After speaking with a few pest control companies, I settled in with EcoGen. Not only do they strategically spray where the bugs come in and hang out, they also take care of trouble spots in the yard. The next week after service I discovered what actually lived in the yard and house - which was a LOT more than I thought was there. Best priced - great service - friendly and educated techs. This company provides the best value of all that I was researching. One final thing - if after a few weeks you notice there is a certain bug that won't quit or somehow keeps coming up (for us, bark scorpions), they come back before the next scheduled service FREE of charge. I was having an invasion of ants. I tried the home remedies with no success so searched YELP for pest control. After reading the reviews for EcoGen, I decided to call them. I spoke with Phil who explained their service options. He was very thorough and was able to get me on their schedule the next day. The service tech, Andrew, showed up on time wearing a mask and shoe covers. He explained where he would be spraying, inside and outside. Thankfully their chemical is pet friendly as I have several dogs. He also installed a "lock box" to hopefully catch the rat that ate my beautiful tomatoes and then also applied a substance in the 2 corners of my yard to deter any scorpions. I started using EcoGen on a bi-monthly basis over summer when we were seeing a lot of bug in the house. Since their first visit, we have not had any bug problems in our home and we've been using them for several months.
