this place is a dump. Although clean, the beds are uncomfortable, with springs noticeably sticking up. At 10 o'clock at night on a weekday, we walked in the door to find 12 or more children, ages five and younger, running unsupervised through the motel, and the dining room set up for what looked like an enormous family dinner. Clearly , management is living in the motel with a good number of noisy small children. The rooms are dated and poorly accommodated at best. TV is limited to a couple of local stations. Internet is nonexistent. Continental breakfast is laughable, with a couple of cereal dispensers. We paid for two nights in advance and left after one. There was just no sleeping in those beds. it was an experience I will not repeat. Even my 10-year-old complained about the beds and the "creepy" guys who hung out outside the entrance. read more

The woman gave me a deal on a weekly rate 7 days for 752.94. Now I get it it's a deal compared to to their normal prices and I'm working out here on projects. I recently for cheaper and good quality hotels in North Conway NH. Anyways the job got cancelled which I told the front desk. She still gave me a discount after spending two nights and I checked out this morning on a Sunday. Shortly after leaving my debit card was run by the hotel. She said she didn't do it but my bank said there's a 108.42 transaction from that hotel and it was on my card it was after I left and checked out.. anyone? Like I said I'm not giving a bad review I'm just saying if I prepaid and was refunded for 5 days which I haven't received yet why a transaction after I left? read more

Absolutely incredible experience. I always thought all hotels were basically the same until i came here. Mitch and Marla treated my friends and I like we have known them for 20 years as soon as we walked through the door. They went out of their way to take care of everything we needed and even after we missed breakfast he packed us some amazing sandwiches to go. The property was gorgeous, rooms were very clean, and the service itself was enough to go back there. This was my first trip to New Hampshire, and now i cant wait to make it a yearly trip to come visit the great people i met there this past weekend. read more

NOT Impressed at all. From the moment I checked in things were sketchy. I used a credit card to pay and used the chip. The screen said accepted please remove card so I did. The guy behind the desk made a confused look as if it didn't go through and asked me for my card. I handed it to him and he swiped it again on his side. My instant reaction was asking him if I was going to get double charged. He said no. On our way to the room we ran into other guests checking in who literally mentioned that this place was known for double charging. I immediately checked my bank account and I had 3 charges (2 room charges and 1 hold for $1) My husband went to ask the front desk about this and the guy at the desk was rude and asked him if he knew what a hold meant. Of course we know what a hold is, that's the $1 but then there was 2 room charges. Anyways, he told us it would be off the statement the next day . Moving onto the room. Our room was a non-smoking room and Oh My God is smelled so darn bad. If I wasn't in a rush to head to a wedding I would not have stayed. We then lifted the mattress to look for bed bugs and found a condom under the mattress. Ugh. I know this place is a 2 star hotel. I didn't expect anything fancy, but for almost 200 a night I still expect clean and comfortable accommodations. Stay away from this place, I know I'll never be back!! read more

Rooms are in disrepair. Could smell smoking coming into our room and called the front desk. Front desk didn't seem to care and said it was residents smoking outside. Overall the hotel is old, out dated and in disrepair. Not recommended. read more

My husband and I found this place on Hotwire during our Vermont weekend outing. Seems to be recently renovated and the room is cute and quaint. LG flatscreen, mini fridge and microwave...things that the Sheraton didn't even have (which was a higher starred hotel). Breakfast was good too - homemade waffles :) read more

I had to to work to remember the real name for this place - at my house, it's just called "Mr. Patel's." We have stayed here many times, in all different seasons, and we always get the long-lost-relative welcome from the owner and his family. They are friendly and helpful, the place is impeccably clean and comfortable. No mints on the pillow, mind, but the breakfast is excellent and plentiful (and my crew likes bacon better than mints anyhow). If you're headed up to the North Conway area, give this a try. The first time, we stayed because of the reasonable prices- but we have gone back many times since then (and have overlooked fancier alternatives) because of the welcoming atmosphere. read more

After a day of white water rafting with my friends we check into the Econo Lodge which we had booked for the night. There was no one at the desk and when we rang the bell for service we were not warmly welcomed. We walked in with our belongings and the manager immediately asked for my ID and credit card. We had three friends that were there to help us with our luggage and hang out before they got picked up. My sister and I were there to decompress and sleep after a long day. Due to our age he must have thought we were planning on partying. One of my friends passes by the manager after we enter the room and was immediately told that the people that weren't staying in the room had to get out in 30 minutes. My sister and I approached him about why our friends had to leave so abruptly and he said, "I don't even have to let them in, this hotel isn't a meeting place and if you have a problem with it you can leave." So we said we will take our business elsewhere since we did not feel comfortable sleeping there. He yelled at us saying we had two minutes to pack up our stuff and leave and that we couldn't have touched anything in the room. I've never been to a hotel that was so uninviting and unappreciative of our business. Instead of trying to politely suggest a resolution he became hostile. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is about what I expected for an Econo Lodge. Rooms are decent and inexpensive, no frills but I only needed a place to crash for the night. Appears to be clean & they provided all of the essentials. Right across the street is a restaurant/bar with a friendly staff and decent food which was a nice surprise. Just don't make the same mistake I did and accidentally book a smoking room (didn't realize these still exist?) because it smells so strongly like cigarettes that I feel like the smell is sinking into my pores. Again, 100% my mistake by booking the wrong room and I guess if you are a smoker it wouldn't bother you but they need to air out these smoking rooms. read more

The hotel itself was very clean & nice. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering. The end time for the continental breakfast was posted at 9:00 a.m. (which seemed a bit early to me, compared with other hotels. Especially with the check out time being 11:00 a.m.) We arrived the next morning at 8:30 a.m. and the food choices were pretty scarce and the waffle maker had a timer that was broken. While we were in the middle of eating, the staff started cleaning up and putting away the food. This was @ only 8:45, which I found to be extremely rude! Then, the cleaning person started wiping down tables, and seemed to almost be staring us down as if he were annoyed with us! Rather than complain, we decided to just finish up our breakfast. Then, low and behold, @ EXACTLY 9:00- and NOT a minute later, they left the dining room and shut the lights off behind them. Talk about tacky! Stayed for a week. Room very clean, bed comfortable. Staff/owners,especially the wife, really aim to please. Breakfast was okay, during the week if you want eggs & sausage you need to ask, otherwise it is bake goods & cereal only,frequently leftover & stale,need to rid the bugs scurrying about the coffee counter. I was given a daily rate @ booking time that was lower than what I was charged,on the weekends $100.00 plus per night, in such a small town there aren't to many other choices, most likely won't stay there again or definitely get it in writing. I do not recommend this hotel! Was told after I arrived that I need to reserve an additional room. Asked to rent a cot and then said they didn't have any in the building, they were being replaced. Ended up paying $600 for 2 nights. Room service never came into our rooms to clean. There were not enough parking spaces. Helping another traveler from my group, check in...was given the wrong information at 10:00 at night. Was told earlier the person paying for the room did not have to be there in person, that her guests could just check in. At 10:00 was told that she did have to be there. Then was told by he manager that he did not want to deal with the nuisance, and if we did not produce a credit card in 30 mns. He would cancel the reservation...meaning the guests put out on the street. read more
