The venue is really beautiful with tons of greenery and flowers, it cuts down on the money and effort you need to put into decor. We got so many compliments on the venue from our guests. We primarily worked with the owner Deb and as it got close to the wedding, also with her new hire Abby. Deb knows weddings and she knows her venue inside and out so she is very chill to work with and makes sure to account for all the details. Communication was very fast and clear. Underrated but one thing I appreciate a ton is all our communications were in a single email chain so it was really easy to find. Abby coordinated with us day-of to cue us to walk down the aisle and otherwise they were seamlessly in the background. The vendor list we got was a little out of date with some being out of business or not having websites, but we picked a few vendors off the list so it was helpful. Having onsite lodging was great. The master bedroom was very comfrotable and it was nice to have our own bathroom. Most of the rest of our guests got Airbnbs (we blocked hotel rooms and offered a shuttle to Conway but no one took us up on it). Overall I would highly recommend Locke Farms Farm as a wedding venue!

----- Concise Review…read more Wonderful wedding + reception ----- Longer Review We traveled to South Tamworth, New Hampshire, by way of Boston, MA and then North Conway, NH, for the wedding of our niece to her husband. The trip was brief - Thursday evening to Sunday, but filled with family and fun. Our niece and (now) nephew selected whiteface hollow for the wedding and reception. whiteface hollow - a fantastic barn + house + winery in South Tamworth, NH. The wedding ceremony was outside, in the field, under a large maple tree, and the reception was in the barn. The property has parking in an open space amid trees... the sky is visible but the trees also provide shading to keep the intense heat off the vehicles. The property has a gentle hillside, leading to the grape vines, with a beautiful view of the White Mountains off in the distance... the view was beautiful in the afternoon and phenomenal with that night's sunset! The owner shared that the barn is original wood - interior... the floors and walls are new boards created when they brought a saw mill onsite to cut the wood from trees on the property. The barn had plenty of room for the 18 tables for guests + a dance floor for all of us.. with space for food, and the bar downstairs, and two spaces upstairs (no walls, but balcony rails). Speaking of the bar... they served inside and also through a window to the outside... the blueberry lemonade is very tasty! The winery isn't producing yet but the building is there, and we enjoyed brunch the next morning - nice! And the painting of the property over the bar is wonderful artwork. The owner and her crew were great... so helpful; we were guests so we didn't have the stress, but we could see things were well planned and executed smoothly. It really went a long way towards letting us just relax and enjoy all the moments with our friends and family. The property itself is gorgeous with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for gathering, lawn games, meals, and everything else a wedding weekend entails. All of our guests were amazed and had a great time. Having an industrial kitchen available was a great way to feed everyone for non-catered meals. The family camping style of living all together for a weekend was unforgettable, especially after a long 18 months of minimal gatherings. The Kimball-Jenkins Estate has been gracing the old estate section of New Hampshire's capital city since before the American Revolution. A stone's throw from the site of the first Garrison House built during the French and Indian Wars in the 1740s, the site of the first house built in Concord NH in 1726, and the beautiful, Greek Revival home of President Franklin Pierce, 14th President of the United States. The Kimball-Jenkins Estate is a gorgeous Victorian estate with several annex buildings. The main building houses events and part of the display collection, which this month had beautiful paintings drawn by former Kimball-Jenkins students. I especially liked some that had a little Pollock infusion. The annex buildings house the Academy of Arts and the carriage house is used for special events. In several visits here, I've been in two different events at the carriage house, which is a superb place for events. The rest of the campus is also beautiful and well suited for weddings or just a stroll. A unique, beautiful, and historical gem in New Hampshire's Capital City.

The Inn was built in 1909 by Thomas Edison. Yes that Thomas Edison, the one who invented the lightbulb. The Inn has so much character it's pure eye candy for those who appreciate the fine craftsmanship of classic furniture, decor and interior design. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, the biggest room with a king size bed and infamously know to have housed Joe DiMaggio and Marylyn Monroe back in the day.
