    Dried on food??? Disgusting
    Jennifer M.

This hotel/cabins were absolutely filthy. We stayed for an end of summer vacation and with COVID, we wanted to stay in a place more private; our own cabin. Worst place I've stayed. Don't stay here!

    Bath tub

For starters, the tv did not work in our room. We called the front desk and asked if it was supposed to and he said yes and he would have someone come try to fix it for us. Nobody ever came to check it out. Then, I was going to use the jet tub in the bathroom which was a mistake. I filled the tub then turned on the jets to make sure they worked, this made a bunch of dirt and nasty grime come out of the pumps which made my bath water look terrible (as seen in the picture) and completely not want to use even the shower in my room. After deciding to drain the bath water, I realized how clogged the drain was in the tub. It took an hour and a half for the tub to drain and by then I just wanted to go to sleep. I laid in the bed and realized the sheets felt sticky. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The rooms are cheaper here for a reason I guess!

Run down chalets, awful groundskeeping, garbage was everywhere

This probably is the worst place We have ever stayed. I booked through hotels.com and paid after tax and fees $422.00 for a family chalet. The pictures online depicted tidy, cute cabins/chalets which were a far cry from the dilapidated, dated, and dirty chalet we stayed. Before we opened the door, the lack of housekeeping was apparent with tables and chairs strewn all over the grass. There was garbage everywhere littering the lawn. Our chalet (and all the others) had rotten shutters, roof tiles falling off, paint peeling, and front steps that looked hazardous. It was musty, the carpet appears to be 30 years old, and appears to not get vacuumed that often. The water park was freezing and the pool was dirty; murky water and hair everywhere. When we told management our concerns and frustrations that our chalet had been misrepresented, there was "nothing he could do". Don't stay here!

now this is the cabin that you actually get. Not so fun... complete trash!!

First of all, they told us the check in time was 4pm. We got there around 4:30 and the rooms were not even close to ready. They also false advertise their cabins. The first couple cabins that you see look like fun! As soon as you turn the corner all the cabins are small, smell like weed, are dirty, and look like they are about to fall over. We paid over $1,000 dollars for 2 CABINS.We got a hotel room and a small cabin that you couldn't even walk in. The service was horrible. The people at the front desk are rude. Everything here is way overpriced and not even worth the amount of money we paid. AND the hotel isn't even called Cabins of Mackinaw (as it is advertised on the website), it's called Enco lodge.

Nice, oversized jetted tub. Plenty of hot water.

Beautiful little cabins the one we saw had three beds (one was a pull out couch) and a beautiful loft.

This property and its price was a blessing on this day as I took the last room apparently with a single bed. I booked at 3 pm on the day before the property closed for the season. Please express my gratitude to the kind young man at the desk on my arrival on 10/24 for his empathy and kind words to me coming from a unpleasant situation. Arriving here was like a warm hug from a friend, it was warm, friendly and clean. The noise issues that were a major factor at the other hotel were not an issue here. I decided that outdoor corridors and me are not ever going to happen again. It is not what I want from a hotel experience Due to the pandemic, only the pool was open not the hot tub even though it looked good, I didn't go there. Also coffee pots have been removed from the rooms due to cleaning issues, but the lobby had fresh tasty coffee brewing and available. I appreciated the variety of the creamers and sweetners. My room was very large as it was handicap accessible which was ok as it was likely others would have been settled at this stage unlike me. I also like the more spacious parking spots and overall apoearance. It is more centrally licated to popular spots but being October and snow flurries I drove. BC pizza delivers and that is a nice perk as their food is good. Thank you for the grab and go type breakfast which you get at the counter from 7-10am that day I stayed. It is nice to have some options for travelers in the pandemic. I chose apple juice, raspberry yogurt and an apple cinnamon muffin which were all prepackaged. It is a safe and appreciated gesture. This time we arrived early and asked for a floor level room due to having a wagon and two kids. They graciously allowed us to have a floor room but informed us it wouldnt be ready until 2:30pm which was fine because the check in time did state 4pm. We ended up come back around 4pm from the island. The room was 2 queens and it was massive! Insanely massive and better than the king one we had. The room was clean and thankfully the toilet worked. We went to the pool and it was nice and warm and empty at that time. Only sad thing was there is no tub in this room so it was hard to wash the kids but we managed. Breakfast is upstairs and sadly no elevator nearby. The food wasnt too bad. The kids ate a little and then we checked out. I will say that the staff was super nice. He was nice when checking us in an out. He had such a positive attitude.

The first night we noticed that the carpet by the door was a little wet. We figured it was from the recent rains. The next morning the first 3 feet inside the door was soaking wet. I took a shower and every now and then a cold drop of water hit me. I could not figure out where it was coming from until I look up and realized that the shower on the floor above us was leaking on me - gross. Since we were staying two nights, we went to the front desk and asked for a new room. We went to the second room and there were flying bugs on both beds. We went back to the front desk and told them about the bugs. They told us that the bugs were everywhere and that we needed to live with them. I asked for a third room, and it was much better and it did not have bugs. The towels are old and a little gray. The toilet paper is very rough and turns cardboard brown when it goes into the water. If you are looking for a cheap place and can put up with old hotel features this might be the place for you.

We had a sitting room, king-sized bed, and whirlpool. Our private deck provided a view of Lake Huron. We only stayed one night so we only got to enjoy one breakfast. As an added bonus, they serve dessert from 7-8pm nightly. We got to enjoy that one night as well. Dessert was a chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and caramel. Omg, it was so good. We really should have spilt one as they were huge. The place was in a great location. It was a short walk to the Mackinac Island ferry. We walked to a dinner spot. All the shops were only a short walk away.
