I bought new wheels for my car, so I wanted to get the tires swapped onto the new wheels. I found them using TireRack's installer search, which they had a favorable rating. So... I get there (first come first served), and the manager was hassling me that my tires are 2 years old, and they need to be replaced. Then he tells me that Nokians (Z-line A/S) ride hard and I should put a more comfortable tire. Then he tells me I should buy Hankook tires. My thoughts: 1) Yes, they are 2 years old, and I want to wear them out before I buy new tires. Since I have a round-trip commute of 70 miles, it would be next year when I buy new tires. 2) My current tires ride pretty well. In fact, Nokian puts a special rubber compound under the tread rubber for improved ride comfort. 3) If I was to buy new tires from them, they better have a manufacture date code of one year or newer, otherwise, I would have harassed them back about it. 4) No Hankook tire interests me right now. If I was to use a Korean brand tire, I would use Nexen. Final thought, oh, the paint on one of my brand new wheels was chipped by the lug area, likely by accidentally banging a lug bolt on the wheel. read more

Went in today, and had not one but two guys work on my tires, done in about 15 minutes. Yes, 15 MINUTES. And of course, you can watch everything going on, so no mystery as to what is happening. Our front right tire developed a flat, so we stopped by here to get a path job done. It was a Monday afternoon and all but one of the bays was occupied. The guy had us pull up to the one empty bay and took the flat tire to assess. It took them less than 10 minutes to assess the tire for all possible holes, patch it, put it back, and refill the air on our spare before putting it back in the car. Great, fast service. Went in to get one of my tires balanced. After several attempts they discovered that the tire was "toast" due to the fact that we (my wife) drove a little too far while flat a few weeks earlier. Also the worker explained that he would not service my vehicle next time because they had a difficult time with the sensors even though it still wasnt done correctly because the sensor light came on as soon as I drove off the lot. This place is great! My passenger front tire kept losing air, so after reading the reviews on Yelp; I decided to check this place out. I went in and explained my situation to Scott at the front desk and he told me I can park my car at one of the bays in the far corner. Within 5 minutes of parking my car, Tony came to help me. He had me turn my handle all the way to the right and told me to backup slowly to inspect the whole tire for me. He showed me what appeared to look like a nail, but when we looked closer it was 2 heavy duty staples inside the tire. Tony said it will be $10 to patch it up and he fixed everything in 5 minutes and also made sure the tire pressure was back to normal. The whole process only took 10 minutes and I only paid $10. Purchased tires from Goodyear.com, selected this dealer for installation. Once I arrive at my appointment I park and there's no acknowledgement from anyone. Ok, that's fine. I make my way inside and alert the cashier that I have an appointment, he ask me for what.. Automatically I think, "shouldn't you know!" I let him know for four tire installations, he lets me know he has no idea. I show him my email and he says he NEVER got the order, after 2 minutes his memory comes back and tells me that HE RETURNED them. I question him and says billed and some bs. Clearly buddy if you're doing business with Goodyear you should know what's going on. Then he offers me "HIS" same tires for less! This review comes late, I came in a few months ago for 4 new tires. I had done some shopping around before coming by, and when I finally did and asked how much for a set they immediately offered the lowest price of all the places I searched. And the gentlemen immediately knew off the top of his head which ones would be good for my car and what I was looking for. I was looking for a place that could sell me tires, brakes, and install them all too. Tried America's tire first but that means I would get tires installed first and then go somewhere else to install brakes. Technically I would have to visit 3 stores to get my stuff done BUT I ran into this company and boy was I happy with the results and I got everything done there for a very reasonable price. The owner is very kind and definitely pays attention to detail. I got OEM brakes and great Michelin tires. I had my rims and lug nuts powder coated and I was scared the torque wrench would strip the coating even w me telling them But not even a little bit of stripping. Super happy and to think that some people have put weird reviews that kind of scared me, I don't regret taking the chance and you shouldn't either! Great service very low prices. This will be my 2nd review as econo-tire's dedication to their customers should be commended. I don't know anything about cars.period. and so, when I saw the brake light flashing on my car, I was advised to go buy a brake fluid. Because this is my go-to place for my car problems, I immediately rushed in hoping to buy a break fluid but to my dismay, They unfortunately do not sell one... I was ready to leave when the manager offered to check my car first, found out that it really is just low with break fluid and asked one of the mechanics to pour in some of their stocks. I happily leaped out of my car again, ready to pay for the services but the manager just smiled and told me not to worry about it. I have been looking for decent, not-necessarily name brand tires, for a while. I considered Costco, Walmart, PepBoys, American's Tire, Firestone, Goodyear/Scher, BigO, Discount Tire Centesrs, and Sears. I wanted a place where I could get tires without pressure to do more services. I started looking for tires online at TireRack.com, and noticed that one of their local installers was receiving rave reviews. That installer was Econo Tire of Stanton. Since I was leaving town in a few days, I didn't have time to buy the tires online (since TireRack couldn't guarantee that the tires would arrive before I left town), so I went to Econo Tire directly. They told me that my car _did not_ need new tires, and that I should just be careful about driving. After I explained that I was concerned that I would have a blow-out while out of town (in Mexico, where I was headed), the owner suggested 2 new front tires, but I opted for 4 because my car is 4WD. In 15 minutes I drove out the door with 4 generic tires (I don't need name brand tires; my car is a commuter/grocery-getter car, not a sports car) at a very reasonable cost, including balancing and disposal fee. There was no pressure to upgrade to a fancier tire or rims, and no pressure to get any other services. I think I will return to Econo Tire for a wheel alignment . read more

I stopped by for four wheels alignment for my Evo today, it was very quick (roughly 45 mins) and reasonable pricing! My alignment was messed up on the rear prior to adjusting it and now it's back to 0.3 degree. Only recommendation I have for the shop would be, when loosen/tighten up bolts/nuts please use torque wrench instead of air gun to avoid stripping and test drive the car after the alignment is completed. DONT BE FOOLED!!This place is TRASH!! just went in about an hour ago to get my tires mounted and balanced looked at the yelp reviews and decided to try it out since its got 5 stars good reviews and is local to me...DONT BE FOOLED! i went in about 5:15 and they close at six since it usually takes 30-45 minutes to do i did hear one guy tell the other if they had time and he said yes so me thinking yes! Cuz i didnt have to come back and theyre putting my tires on i pulled the car in they throw it up on jacks take all wheels off theyre doing there thing one was taking them off while the other was taking out the air and what not they dismantle the tires and mount the new ones balance them throw them back on the car i pay the guy...at that point i was so glad i got my tires put on cuz i was riding on slicks lol i pull up to a store(walmart gilbert&chapman) i start looking at the tires and i glance at my rims and they are all rashed up on the inner side of the wheel on the side of my lip i look at the others sure enough they got rashed too my rims dont look all that but they are 1200$ work cr kais i shoot back to the shop and theyre closed so i go in the morning and i tell them they rashed my wheels and they never denied it im pretty sure if they were there before they would have said something but i tell them its all four he said they would need the wheels for 2-3 days these are my only wheels so its difficult to find another pair but then the other guy tells me all theyre gunna do is sand and try to match the paint i told them that it would work temporarily cuz when i throw other tires on itll just come off they would have to get powder coated but he just kept telling me they would need the wheels for 2-3 days wich i cant spend $500 for some spares just to get my wheels fixed wich never should have been damaged so dont be fooled im a car enthusiast and dont recommend this place if you got real wheels and want them in good condition this place will damage them... read more
