I have a love hate relationship with my tire pressure light telling me its low. I also had a feeling I needed to replace my front tires. A few days prior I took my car somewhere else and was assured everything was okay. I decided to get a second opinion. I have already been to ATD and enjoy all my tire paperwork to be under one roof. Tony helped me out and confirmed my feeling was right. Now you may be thinking how do I know he was telling the truth. I ordered BFG tires online and had them delivered to the tire depot, made an appointment through the website. Drop car off on time to have tires replaced and alignment...The salesperson called after we dropped off the car and explained that the BFG didn't ship in time and would be in tomorrow but here our these tires cheaper...I kind of went off on him and said I would just pick them up...long story short he gave me way way better tires then the BFG and gave them to us at the BFG price...this place is legit and stand by there word or beat the price...the tires are amazing...alignment is perfect...I refer them 100% read more

Although I didn't appreciate that Max tried to sell me a new tire and asked me to sign a paper after I had told him that I only needed to change to my spare tire. Went in and asked for a tire rotation. They said it was free so I checked my car in and waited 20 minutes. Went to grab my car the service tech tells me he couldn't rotate my tires because they were bald and I needed new ones. I told him thank you and got my keys. He seemed irritated and unpleasant. I had a second terrible experience at your American Tire Depot location on 7000 Katella Ave. Stanton, CA. 90680. Both experiences ended with the same result of your manager Al refusing to service my 2023 Kia Sorrento. The first experience I had was about 6 months ago where Al refused to patch my tire. Seeing as your location advertises "FREE TIRE REPAIR" and "FREE TIRE ROTATION", I figured you guys could help me service my wife's vehicle being that your location is behind the townhome community that I live in. When Al agreed to patch my tire he seemed pleasant, personable, and professional; it started as a good experience. When his technicians "began to work on the tire" Al started to talk to me about new tires and the promos they were running. He first asked if I just wanted a brand new tire then began talking about a "buy 3 get 1 free" promotion, I politely declined and said that the tire patch would be enough. He looked clearly bothered and proceeded to go to the back with the techs for a couple minutes. When he returned to speak with me he gave me a speech about not being able to patch the tire due to liability reasons; he did not give me any further details regarding my tire. No details as to why he could not patch it, simply that they could not because of liability reasons. Being that that didn't sit well with me, I drove down the street to a place where my father in law recommended in the first place and they patched my tire at no additional cost or upsell. Today, June 18th, I walked in for my 9:30 appointment that I scheduled yesterday for my "FREE TIRE ROTATION" and was again pleasantly greeted by Al. Again, the interaction began smoothly and pleasant, however it took a turn. After All took the keys for my Sorrento he again began with thes sales pitch I previously mentioned. I politely declined the upsell and requested just the tire rotation. He again appeared a little bothered that I didn't opt for new tires and proceeded to go to the back. While he was in the back for a couple minutes I spoke with my wife and mentioned that this spot is right by the house and we should get new tires for our truck here being that it's so close (we usually go to Costco). When Al returned from the back he gave me the all too familiar speech, "WE CAN'T ROTATE YOUR TIRES BECAUSE OF LIABILITY REASONS". This time he mentioned to me that there is no tread on the front tires and the two front ones are cracked. I can send you pictures if you'd like, the tires are not cracked and they are not bald. This is the car my wife uses to drive our children, I make sure the service is done regularly and the tires are rotated at every oil change. This time, unlike the previous experience, I challenged him and asked, "if you are so concerned of liability reasons, my car is front wheel drive, would it not represent more of a liability to you letting me leave with those two 'bald and cracked' tires in the front, rather than rotating them to the back because my car is front wheel drive?" Al responded by saying that for liability reasons he cannot touch my car and did not even offer to show me the issues he was presenting. I advised him that this is the 2nd time he has refused service to me because I opted to not buy anything in which he responded, "it's for liability purposes". Situations like this lead me to ask the question if this store is running a "bait and switch" operation. My family and I opted to give you guys a 2nd chance even though Al had previously refused to service our vehicle only to be rewarded with the same unforgettable service. read more

Update... This was originally a 1-star review. I never did hear back from the corporate office after filing a complaint. They said someone would call me within 24 hours. That never happened; however, after I posted this review, someone reached out to me pretty quickly. The district manager, Joe, called me and made every effort to try to make it right. He sent my sister to a shop much closer to her home and they treated her right. She was very impressed with their level of customer service and will likely return to that shop in the future. It does not erase what initially happened, but what is done cannot be undone. Joe did everything he could do to make things better under the circumstances. He also assured me the person that my sister initially interacted with will be dealt with accordingly. Hopefully he will get additional training on how to properly treat customers moving forward. read more

Brought car in for an oil change. Was told I was missing an "oil filter spring" and the mechanic showed me the filter housing and perforated center tube, claiming there should be a "spring" inside the tube. Manager Al said he "could try to get one for me." A quick online search revealed there is no such part on the vehicle. This appeared to be a blatant attempt to sell me something I did not need, and WAS NOT EVEN ON THE CAR TO BEGIN WITH. Told them to put it back together without the mysterious "spring" he said was needed. What next - trying to sell me "muffler bearings" or some other non-existent part? Other than this, the oil change seemed to go okay, but can I trust that they actually put full synthetic oil in the engine? No. So I'll do next oil change much earlier as if it were non-synthetic and I'll have it done somewhere else. And I will watch them put the correct oil in the car, just to be sure. Sucks having to watch your back every time you get vehicle service, but that's our world today. read more

Don't believe the high rated reviews found on Yelp and Google. This place is an absolute nightmare. I made a Friday appointment for 8 am a week in advanced to get the tires changed on my Model 3. I bought my own tires. When Friday came I arrived at the shop five minutes before 8 am. So, I waited till it was 8 am but no one was at the shop. It was still closed and it didn't open until 8:25 am. Already a red flag! Anyways, when the front finally opened they helped me, I paid and they took my vehicle in the garage and I told them the new tires were in the trunk. I figured all was well so I took an Uber home since they told me it would take 1-2 before they actually get to my car even though I had an appointment. About an 1.5h passed and I got a call stating my car was ready. I Ubered to the shop and right away I noticed there was something wrong with my rims. They were absolutely butchered by whoever swapped the tires. They bent, scratched and scraped the outer rim. They did this to all four rims. I know I should of said something but honestly what are they going to do? I doubt they would replace/fix my rims. Maybe its the type of service you get when you bring your own tires but for a shop that is so highly rated I expect better. If you care about keeping your rims mint don't bring your car here. read more

I came in at 5:30 to the shop, which I already knew was late since they were going to close soon, but I thought I could give it a shot. I walked in and immediately Al was a great help and said that they could get it done. He looked at my tire and turns out the whole thing needed to be replaced, and it wasn't fixable. But instead of telling me to come back another day, they took time out of their day and fixed it for me even though it was late.
