We accidentally used Economy Copiers twice - both times with horrible results. The first service call was on 02/07/2017 and the technician was unable to fix our issue yet charged us $238.26. We had staff change over and our new hire did not know to run the other direction as fast as possible from Economy Copier. On 11/28/2018 Economy Copiers made the second service call and insisted on a $526.90 up front payment for parts and labor that was guaranteed to fix our Epson WF8090 copier that was jamming. The repair did not fix the jamming and the owner, Ben Farrell (I think), refused to return to work on the copier further. I would never let a friend use this company. read more

DO NOT USE these scam artists. I had them come to my company on 10/12 to repair a HP copier. the goon came with his girlfriend and said we needed new parts to the tune of $800.00. Our owner approved this and we paid him $165.00 for his service and diagnosis. I have been emailing and calling since them with no response. These people are thieves and I have contacted our cc company to dispute the 1st charge since he did not do anything. read more

We agreed on those terms, when he came in he looked at the printer and diagnosed within a couple minutes letting us know the part would cost us $135.00 OUT OF RANDOM came up with the part price. On top of that said will be charged for the commute price $127.50. From the terms we agreed he said that charge would be removed if we ordered his parts, etc. How did we end up paying $262.50? Just cracks me up how my printer cost is that much and i have to pay the same amount to fix a part smaller than a finger nail size??? why wouldnt i just go buy a whole new printer that works fully. The best part is he comes and fixes the part, which we paid in full for! As soon as he leaves the printer breaks AGAIN. We called him several times to come back and he did not show up. Finally when he did he said we owe him 127.50. For what???? the same part? THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR. DO NOT CALL FOR HIS SERVICES. Beware using this company. I recently asked the owner to fix a dell printer. He indicated that he could, took the damaged part and my $127.50 deposit, saying that w/b credited against work done. After a few days I called him to ask when I would get the repaired part. He cam over with the wrong part. A few more days , another call and he then suggested I buy another dell printer he had available. The price seemed ok , he agreed to repair it if things went wrong within a reasonable time (an acknowledged error on my part in agreeing to lose wording like that) and away he went. Critical to the appeal of the printer was that it scanned, which it did/does not. Literally two hours after purchasing the machine and realizing that it did not scan, I phoned him to ask him to fix the issue (likely just a software down load). He told me he would for another $127.50. I expect that I will , with Dells help, fix the scanner issue. However, I will never use this entity again and I suggest that you be very careful before doing so. read more

We had a problem with out printer a month ago. We called Economy Copiers in Bellevue. We were told it would be $150.00 for him to come out and do the repair. The printer was fixed and we were charged an additional $160.00. A month later we moved to Timber Ridge in Issaquah and within a week had another problem with the printer. We forgot which business we had previously but accieently called the same one. Ben came out again for the repair. We were charged another $360.00. Unfortunately the computer was in the shop and we could not test the printer. Two days later when the computer was returned we found that the printer still did not work. Once again we called Ben. He said he would come out and I told him we would not pay for additional services and that $700.00 was already a ridiculous amount to have paid him. He said he would come for free. After working on it for about half an hour he said that something was "dead: and it needed a new circuit board and it would cost about $89.00. I told him that we were not going to put another cent into this repair and would just buy a new printer. He said he may have what he needed in storage and would call us. We did not hear anything further. About this time I thought I would ask the maintenance people who installed our TV and computer if they would look at it. Sam in maintenance checked it out and within twenty minutes had it working perfectly. DO NOT USE ECONOMY COPIERS unless you want poor service and an outrageous bill. read more

I do not know if this guy is a crook or just incompetent. I have a small office with three aging workhorse printers. I was looking to have someone come in, clean them up and just give them a little TLC. He came in looked them over and said he could get some PM kits and be back in a few days. He charged me $189 per kit plus labor/trip charge for a total of $745. I thought a bit much but if my print quality is improved, I could get a few extra years out of my printers. He called me a couple of days later. When he completed his work he presented me with another invoice for $625. I said I prepaid you and he told me that was only a deposit. When I asked to see the packaging/parts from these "PM kits" he began twitching about if I thought it was too much that he would waive the cost. Now I am really suspicious. $1300 I could have bought 3 NEW printers! I asked again for his parts or packaging from these "Kits" he supposedly bought and he said he put all the trash in his car, though he never left my office during the job. Interesting to read Robin B review. I had a similar problem with this group. Paid the $127.50, got nothing resolved for the expenditure and then was required to pay an additional amount for follow up service for the same problem. Out of principle, I didn't. If I could give them a negative amount of stars or no stars at all I would. DO NOT use this company ever. They came out to repair a copier in our office, the service tech, Ben, said that we needed a laser sensor assembly and he would need to order one and then come out and install the part and fix our copier. Our copier was a Ricoh MP-C2050. I state it was a Ricoh because after bringing another used copier to our office and him robbing parts from that copier and trying to replace parts on our copier using the used parts from the other copier, he left our office saying the sensor was not broken and now we need a main board. He used so many parts from the old/used copier he brought, I do not know if I still have a Ricoh copier any longer or a copier made up of who knows what kind of parts. My staff then asked him to stop what he was doing and to reassemble our copier back the way it was. He slapped it together very quickly and left. He first tried to get our staff to pay a bill for $438.10 for his services and parts. He took our parts, which were obviously not broken, and left the parts in our machine from the old copier and it now not only does not work, but he also did not reassemble the cover and left our copier without putting it back together properly. The cover was never plugged back in to the copier, the cover was never tightened down properly and he left and took about a dozen screws we need to properly secure the cover and side panels. The cover used to feed papers for copying and the scanner and now will not do that anymore. Upon his first service call we paid $273.95 which was for his service call and some parts. Not sure what parts as he did not install any on his first visit. The tech and owner, Ben, and I spoke today on the phone and he got very combative and told me not to argue with him, which I did not. I was simply asking him questions as to what happened and where are my parts. He got agitated and upset and said he had the parts and said that I am only looking at this from my perspective and not his. He was right, as my perspective is that he is totally unprofessional, a total scam artist and should not be working on anyone's copiers because he does not know what he is doing, or at least, not in our case. Please do not use this guy and go directly through Ricoh and their service department. I have called Ricoh and they are sending a certified Ricoh tech to try and fix the problems that were caused by this inept company and the original problem of it not working properly. This is my first ever Yelp review and I did it because I do not want others ripped off by this company like we were. Also, take a look at their BBB report. It speaks volumes about their company.
