The company has very aggressive soliciting tactics! The sales rep passed my "No Trespassing" sign near my porch, then ignored the "Do Not Ring Doorbell" sign on my door. He pounded on the door and rang the bell numerous times. Then he left and came back and did it again. He wouldn't tell me what he wanted. He said he had to show me. I don't think so! He threw the information in my driveway and then went to harass my neighbor. Respect people's property and signs, especially on private communities with No Soliciting notices. Don't harass people by repeatedly ringing and loudly knocking on their door numerous times in a row until they answer. That's not a very smart tactic if you want to obtain customers. Door-to-door solicitors are trained in the absolute worst, predatory sales tactics. Kid approached my home, I told him he interrupted me at work and I asked him if he was here for a sales call. He parroted back to me, "Sales call?" I told him I don't know who Ecoshield is and what they do. He then asked (infuriatingly), "Is everything okay?" (Without explaining who Ecoshield is.) At this point, I start to wave him off, but we have a lot of service providers coming and going this month for projects. So I paused once more and asked him if he was scheduled to be here, and he parroted back stupidly, "Am I scheduled to be here?" At this point I told him to get off my property, and instead of turning around right then he goes "Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's wrong?" I repeated to get off my property and the little s**t still stood on my stoop and had the audacity to ask me again, "Is everything okay?" No. It was not. I wish I'd had my dog outside, because then he'd have seen how "okay," this was. This sales tactic is absolutely disgusting and dangerous. He could have apologized for interrupting me in the middle of my work meeting and handed me a card. Instead he told me exactly what type of predatory business this is, left an absolutely putrid brand impression, and turned me into a furious detractor (before I even had the chance to be duped by their subpar service!). I lost my job a little over a year ago and it took me over a year and a lot of run around by Ecoshield service to try to get it cancelled. The service guys that they keep sending out, despite me trying to cancel, indicated that the customer service is bad and frustrating for anyone who is having trouble with anything with Ecoshield service. I keep getting routed to associates who can't help beyond taking messages, and no manager has ever returned my calls. EcoShield claims to care about customer satisfaction, but my experience has been the opposite. Their handling of my concerns has been unprofessional and frustrating. I want this complaint on record to warn others and strongly advise people to look elsewhere for a company that values its customers. He called the office from my home and told them this. The next day they billed my credit card for $210 for a service that was never performed. I've called numerous times only to be told it will take 10-14 business days to get approval...I am given this same message each time I call even though each call was several weeks apart.
