I strongly advise against hiring this company as they do not know or care to find out how to pull a permit for their work before they start. They did not even ask if this is required or not while the house is under construction. They failed to pull a permit in a timely manner which caused us as homeowners problems with the city and the final inspection for the house. Customer service was extremely rude and incompetent, disrespectful and unprofessional in communication. Stay away from this company and look for a more professional one that understands what needs to be done to install a water treatment system and the city requirements. read more

I contacted EcoWater of North Florida in Ocala on 08/12/25 with a service-related question. My call was directed to their service department, and I left a clear message for Mindy. As of 08/18/25, I still have not received any return call. In the past, when this service was provided by SWS under Skip, I could usually count on a same‑day or next‑day response, which made the process much smoother. Since the acquisition by EcoWater, this has not been my experience. I can't fully comment on their actual service work, from a customer service standpoint, lack of follow-up is disappointing. I cannot recommend relying on EcoWater for time-sensitive or urgent service needs. Hopefully, service issues will be addressed moving forward. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company is promoted through Costco, and is terrible. My system was installed backward so for almost a year I had irrigation, ecoli water flowing through my house! My water bill doubled because when I used water, both my home and irrigation meters ran. I can not get anyone in this company to do the correct thing and replace my crappy system! I have owned 6 EcoWater systems between 5 houses over the past 20-years and have referred 4 neighbors to buy systems as well. I had always worked with Water Solutions that serviced the Orlando area. The previous owner retired last year and apparently sold the territory to EcoWater of North Florida, which is based out of Ocala. My situation began when I hit a water line in my yard while replacing a hedge. I turned the main water line off to my house. When I turned the water back on a few hours later, there was no soft water. I ran through all the standard trouble shooting that I could find online over the next several days before finally calling the new authorized dealer - EcoWater of North Florida. I spoke with Kala in the service department and the soonest they could send someone out was 3-weeks, not great, but oh well. When the technician came out, he went through the system for a couple of several hours and could not figure out why it was not producing soft water, everything seemed to work, but no soft water, verified by testing. He then suggested that the only other thing he could think of would be to change out the bedding; even though I was not near the normal water usage to necessitate a change and typically if the bedding needs to be changed you would have decreased water pressure in the house, which I did not. I asked about the cost to change the bedding, which he said is about $1,000. I asked, since there are no indications that this is the issue, what happens if I spend the $1,000 to change the bedding and the system still does not work? He said that I would need to talk with the office. Either way, he does not have the bedding material on the vehicle so it would have to be scheduled another time. He did not give me a service invoice that day because he said he would have to come back anyway. This was on a Thursday, and he said the office should call me by Monday to discuss my situation. I still had not heard anything come the following Wednesday, so I called and spoke with ¬Kala again and explained what I was told during the service call. She said that she would look into it and call be back later that day. I did not hear anything, so I called back the next morning and had to leave Kala a message. Later this day, I received the service invoice in the mail. I called this time to speak with accounting and explained to Robin that I was waiting to find out what the next steps were going to be prior to paying for the service call. She asked if I wanted her to transfer me over to Kala since she was right there. I said yes, so Kala unexpectedly gets on the phone. Kala said that her supervisor was currently busy but was going to call me before the end of the day. The next day, I still had not heard anything, so I called again and again had to leave a message. I went ahead a mailed a check for the service call. The following week, I still have not heard anything and I received another copy of the service invoice in the mail. I took this opportunity to write my situation in a letter and mail it back to their office along with the previously paid invoice. I still did not receive a reply. 5 Phone calls and a letter and not one call back. From when my system first stopped working, this had now been 6-weeks. Due to the poor customer service and complete lack of communication, I decided at that point I would just buy a new system from another manufacturer. I am so disappointed with this new distributor, and I definitely don't want anyone else to find themselves in a similar situation. What should have been a simple service call turned into a long-drawn-out full system replacement. This is not a company that gives any value to their customers. read more

He knew exactly what we would need, and we were even able to purchase our new system from him through Costco. He was very informative without being pushy at all. The installation process went perfectly. The installer showed up right on time, trenched so we could put the unit exactly where we wanted it, and tested the water again before he left to show us it was working. He explained the system thoroughly including how to bypass it and how to shut it off if we are going on vacation. We are very pleased. Thank you! read more

Just had the ERR3700 system installed today. Andy Kohler was our sales rep. Very knowledgeable & NOT PUSHY. He was the 3rd company we had come in. He respected our needs & did not try to sell us something we did not want. This goes a long way with me since once of the prior companies was extremely pushy. We went with this system which was about mid-price of the 3 we looked at. Larry & Jose installed it today. They showed up on time, did a quick installation, including trenching to install the unit exactly where we wanted. No hidden costs or surprises, everything was upfront. I was having an issue with my water softner. It was draining water all over the floor of the room it was located in. I called a company that wanted $90 to come out and check the softner. I called Ecowater Systems and they came out for $40 found the problem was a clogged drain going into the ground. They cut the line just above the ground line and fixed the problem. I am very grateful. They didn't try and sell me a rebuild kit or a new water softner. They simply charged the $42.75 for a 10 point inspection and reset and regenerated the softner. When we need service in the future we will be sure to call Ecowater Systems. The tech Larry was great and explained everything. Thank YOU!!!!! read more

Andy made the sales experience very easy, working around our busy schedules. We had highly chlorinated water that was causing our son's eczema to worsen terribly. I recommend speaking to Andy in advance regarding what credit cards are accepted and payments options; no fault of his just Costco no longer accepts Amex. Jorge is the only installer for the entire Central Florida area and was prompt and knowledgeable and even returned to assist with an issue that was caused by the municipality.
