I would give this company 10 stars if I could. I just moved into a new house last week and I was so excited because I was getting things unpacked and this has been a very long venture to get to that day. Within an hour I was nearly in tears because my water smelled so bad like rotten eggs and it was disgusting beyond words. I was driving a 2 1/2 hour round-trip just to take showers at a family members house it smelled so bad. Of course I was drinking bottled water. I couldn't believe it because a few weeks ago during the inspection I was there and water was being run and I ran water and flush the toilets too. We didn't do a water test because everything seemed fine. I was so much in disbelief I started researching how this could be and found out that the smell can be temporarily covered in different ways and it was . I started calling companies and I was getting a lot of different answers and a lot of confusion and high prices that were unbelievable. When I called Pegasus, I talked to Robert who explained everything in detail and said it was a Family owned business and he guaranteed that I would have fresh clean water after they installed their filtration system. Their price was also very reasonable compared to other companies. Adam and his son came and installed my system and they were very professional and knowledgeable and it was very obvious that they completely knew exactly what they were doing. They also were very personable and helpful with suggestions when I was asking about many things where I have special projects that will need to be done with this new house and I was given the name of someone that they said could help me. Adam was also wanting to know exactly what the projects were because he had wonderful suggestions. I know this doesn't have to do with the filtration system but they are genuinely good people. I have the freshest and cleanest wonderful water now and I am so happy! I love my house again and I'm excited again to make this my home. After over a year as a customer of Pegasus Water, LLC I wanted to share my experience. There are 3 in my family, along with frequent guests that stay from out of town. This past holiday season I had family stay several days and they made a comment about the change in water quality since their last visit. My granddaughter and great granddaughter both have long hair and both commented about how pleased they were. I have also been happy enjoying ice cubes without having to buy bags. I don't know who wrote these reviews but I've had nothing but the best experience with Pegasus. I have had 3 Pegasus Water Filtration systems installed on 3 separate homes here in The Villages. They are honest, trustworthy and have never presented themselves in any other manner. Their customer service is top notch and their system is the best I've owned. One home is in the Village of Fenney and they have a space saver model which is ideal! I don't have to replace any cartridges like the cheaper 3 cartridge Nova system which doesn't even take out the hardness plus with Pegasus I have a lifetime warranty, how much better can you get people? Its terrible they have been defamed here on yelp. I recommend them to anyone looking for a quality system and with excellent customer service. Best water system I have had, the staff there is great and always helps me! Recommend highly

This review is based on the approach used to solicit me as a new customer. In mid-March, a young woman presented herself at my door, introducing herself by her first name, stating that she was 'the welcome lady' to the neighborhood, and had a restaurant gift card for me, which would be mailed to me. Shortly after, I received a call from a woman who stated she was with Pegasus Water Systems and wished to arrange for either 'L' or another gentleman to deliver the card to me. I stated I was told that it would be mailed to me, and she stated that was erroneous. At the end of call when we had a 'delivery' date established, she quickly added prior to ending the call that 'a water sample would be taken'. On the designated day/time, 'L' arrived, telling me he had my restaurant certificate, and set up his case and equipment at my kitchen sink to 'take the water sample'. He proceeded to walk through a series of dialogue and activities intended to demonstrate how bad my water supply was in my area/home. This lasted approximately 15 minutes; when he asked me for the umpteenth time if I really wanted to drink such water when I could have such better water quality thanks to Pegasus, I diverted my answer, directing him to the cost. He then addressed the 4 stage filter system and warranty, retail value of $3,999, but instillation of $200 would be waived along with the $249 tax as I was a new home resident. He added I would receive the 'Go Healthy 360' products, a plethora of products; if I used a credit card payment, $250 deduction would transpire bringing total cost down to $3,300. If I paid by check, then a $550 deduction would lower cost to $3000. 'L' delivered a well rehearsed dialogue, incorporated comments based on personal questions he had asked on his arrival (ie. 'you are an educated woman', 'as a nurse, you can appreciate', etc). In my mind, I questioned what his 'clean' clear water bottles had been pre-treated with to produce the poor quality of my tap water with his demo; I do not believe The Villages homes would have met inspection criteria for sale with water quality as he portrayed using his supplies with my tap water. I advised 'L' that I did not make quick decisions, and would not pay for the system that day. He offered to call the owner to see if a cost reduction would be honored since it was the end of the month, and earlier sales to meet monthly quota might warrant a lower payment. I repeated that I did not make quick decisions. He ultimately blacked out the Pegasus office number on his business card, asking me to call him via his cell number on the card as his income was based on sales and commissions. He then told me that there was no water system available that matched Pegasus. His parting comment to me entailed him pointing to brown spots on the metal edge of my drop-in sink, telling me that they were 'rust' spots due to my poor water quality, that they could not be removed, and that more would develop. After he left, I moistened a paper towel and wiped away the 'rust' spots - drops of coffee from my morning java using my portable coffee pot. I did receive a gift card for use at four area restaurants. As a Registered Nurse and an educated woman, I did not appreciate the Pegasus approach to capturing my attention for their water system. To be told by a friendly young woman that she was the 'welcome lady', followed by the preceeding account was in my opinion personally insulting. I have not pursued business with this company. I cannot address the quality of their purification system or their customer service. read more
