Ecowater is junk! Don't waste your money on this water system. The unit is all plastic and looks/feels very cheap and not well designed. I only bought the Ecowater system because they were featured at Costco. I usually trust Costco, but I think Costco made a big mistake allowing Ecowater to advertise to its members. My Ecowater system only last 4 years and the replacement filters are super expensive. They will charge you $150 minimum to just come out to the house. I finally had enough with Ecowater when my system broke down. I called a friend who gave me the number to her water system guy. I called him up and he came over and told me that the system Ecowater installed was way too small for a house with 6 people. So, the new Water system has a larger capacity, it has a metal housing, the installation was more professional (copper pipes and the waste water pipes were installed along the house (not just running along the dirt ground like Ecowater did).... Totally different! AND it was much less expensive! About the amount that Ecowater wanted to just "FIX" my crummy, small, plastic, sloppy installed piece of junk! And... if that not enough... my new guy will come out to the house and change ALL the filters (every other year) for less than Ecowater will charge to just come out to the house and do NOTHING! Then checked the water softener, making sure all the settings were correct. While he was doing that he explained how the system works including the "self cleaning" which it was set to do once a week. We recently built a new house and installed a Culligan water treatment system. They never responded when we contacted them to add more salt!?! I guess their technicians are not available in our area - we purchased the system so they had no interest in keeping our business. We decided to end our relationship with them and contacted Martine at EcoWater Systems. She came over right away and tested our water. By the next week, we had the system installed. We have noticed a tremendous improvement in our water and we are beyond pleased with the customer service we have received. This is a review about the saleslady who performed a demonstration about the Costco EcoWater System. She used sales tactics such: 1. "Look at your tap water, it turned yellow in my test tube" (when I replicated the demonstration, the water from the same tap was not yellow) 2. "The EcoWater system is good for your health, here are some 'scientific studies' " ... Piffle 3. "Look at all the sludge in the test tube in this sample of your tap water" 4. "Here's how poisonous your water is...take a look at your utility's annual water quality report and all the bad things in your water." (the EcoWater document she showed greatly exaggerated the situation) Magic tricks, appeal to authority, instilling fear...all very slick sales techniques to push a sale. Push. Maybe the product is good. But this is a review about EcoWater's sales force and their Jedi mind tricks. Watch out. Caveat emptor. read more

We had John Arguilez come out and replace our filters on our RO system. He's customer service was outstanding. He was funny, courteous and very knowledgeable. He spent time going over how to care for our water softener as well as the RO system. He walked me through each step of the filter replacement so that I could do it myself next time if I so desire. Never did he try to oversell services. On the contrary, John let me know that the membrane should not need to be changed for another 3 years for the RO system and the softener should not need serviced for 2 more years. On top of that he made sure to explain that he's just a phone call away should I have any questions or require future service. We're so happy we chose Ecowater! read more

I met their terrific sales person at Costco. I requested an onsite appointment, we scheduled a specific day and time. That time came and went, I waited. I called their 800 number and explained, I'm waiting and they're late and no calls or emails no explanation. He said he didn't understand why and he would contact their person and call back. I waited and waited. Nothing. An hour later I get a call, 'I'm sorry but it say's you're cancelled'. I said, 'Umm NO, that's funny your office still has me on their calendar'. She tried to reschedule another day and realizing she had lied to me, I declined. I called this morning and a service man (Allan Watson) was there at 1pm. Great service and prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I am thrilled with this service after having the alkalinizer for 20 months. This system helped improve health of several people I know. If I had the room I would have done my whole house but I have it in my kitchen sink and all the built up stuff on the electrodes in my electric tea kettle is gone and the appliance is like new not having to deal with the hard water in my area.
