I cannot say enough positive comments about ECS AV.  They are truly the best in all of the South Bay in our opinion (and we vetted 4 of them before moving forward with ECS).  They have done both our Audio Visual (hung 5 TVs, installed Sonos plus receivers, hooked up surround sound, etc) as well as did both the base level and higher end Palladiom Lutron blinds in our (relatively) new house in Manhattan Beach (2019 build).   From Dave Herdt's initial consultation with us back in 2021 to his companies first AV install which went very smoothly to getting a new Lutron blind quote almost a year later and having Ruben and his team back for the blind installs, the team did great work.  They are truly consultative and we did upgrades to our house that I was not made aware of during other bids from other vendors (RA2 to RA3 so ECS can help remotely if we need.  We now have all our light and blind settings saved in the cloud.  We also now have a Ring doorbell with no mthly fee ever).  The day to day operation tempo is set by April in the front office  (who sets the calendar and is truly keeps this place running so smoothly).  She too did a great job working with us.  We were definitely not always easy and made sure we got the premium product we ordered installed exactly as promised.  ECS AV always made good on making sure we were happy and satisfied with the job they did.  Their customer service is amazing which is a huge differentiator in the AV install market where customer service can be severely lacking.  That is definitely not the case with ECS AV.  I believe Dave Herdt has taken over this business and candidly given his consultative approach and ease with delighting customers, I have no doubt this company will continue to thrive.  Like many of us, we are extremely busy, and we take little time ever writing reviews except when they are well deserved.  This one certainly was and we wanted to make sure we did are part recognizing this smalll-medium size business so others support their good work.  I have great confidence they will deliver for you like they did for us.   Thanks again ECS AV team! read more

I had ECS come out to hang two TV mounts. Now, yes, I could have done it myself, but one mount had to go through stone in a fireplace, so I wanted to make sure I had a professional (with insurance!) do the project. They came out within two days of me calling, installed the mounts and hung the TVs in a timely manner. Everything was tarped and cleaned, the lines they ran are well concealed and they were nice and professional. If I had a big AV job, I would definitely call them again! read more

Team showed up on time, masks on.. very polite and knowledgeable. Brian and Davy not only corrected the issue but they took the time to help me reprogram my Control 4 remote. I would not recommend this company at any price. They cannot cater to high end, as they do not understand how integrated systems work. They had to be called to our house more than 30 times in a 3 month time frame and could never correct their system. With all this, they still wanted to be paid in full and went so far as to charge our cc on file without pre-approval. Run, don't walk, to another firm. read more

Have used ECS in the past and was happy with them. Used them in September not the same experience as before. We needed a new universal remote for our TV and audio system. Was told the appoximate price of the remote. That it could be a little more but they did not know the exact price but would be around $600. Also told that an hour of programing was included in the price of the remote. When I received the invoice the remote was $750 and was charged for two hours of programing. They were here two hours. When I complained was told the price was the price and no programing ws included in the remote price. Feel as if I was scammed and do not recommend them. read more

Mike the owner is a nice guy, and his team are good enough for the basics, although a bit unreliable. Biggest problem for us was their lack of expertise in programming for the Control4 automation system that they recommended. They aren't a registered Control4 dealer, and they subbed out the majority of the programming to a guy in Vegas. We had them back several times to try to fix problems, and in the end we gave up. Their attempt at integration of Sonos music and Lutron lighting was a joke. As they aren't a registered dealer, they were also unable to easily obtain licenses for the system, which caused more delays. We hired a registered local dealer/installer to come in and clean up the mess, and finally we have a system that works as it always should have done. Cost us a bit to fix, but we had already sunk a lot of money into what was supposed to be a custom home integration. Like I said, they can pull cables and do the basics, but be careful before you trust them to program a complex home automation/integration. read more

I was having a horrible time with my WiFi connection. Couldn't get Netflix or Hulu. I called ECS and they came out and figured out what they needed to do to resolve my issues. I set up an appointment and they came back and in one day had everything up and running perfectly. They are extremely professional and efficient. I highly recommend them. read more

Mike and his team were out to our house a few weeks ago. When we put in our new 4K TV, we needed to upgrade all of our wiring and receiver etc.... As with any project, there were some unforeseen issues, but I thought Mike and his team were great and able to work around the due to their expertise. Brian and Keegan especially really stepped up to make sure I was happy and everything was done right. I needed a complete update of all my Home Entertainment in my home in Palos Verdes ca I called Mike, he came over, and told me what I needed to buy, so I did that. Then he sent a few techs to my home and it was all professionally installed, this was 3 years ago, and it works great. i recently called them to come do some updates, add some Sonos, some speakers, etc. they showed up, very professional, very knowledgeable, and did what they came to do, explained it all to me a left. Recently I hired Mike and his team to install a new TV and update my surround sound system. Mike came to my home and made a number of recommendations including purchasing a new a/v receiver, control4 remote and Sonos music system.
