Reached out to Mr. Miniblind for new shutters in 2 of ours rooms. We first met with Steve who measured and gave us quotes. Steve was great. He made himself available and really made us feel like he was there to provide us with whatever solution we might need/want. On day of installation, a problem was encountered because our window wasn't fully straight. The installer thought of a solution and had the manufacturer fix the issue and they reinstalled it without issue about a week later. Every single step of the way Charles has been amazing to work with. It was a no brainer to choose to work with Mr. Miniblind. I contacted three different window treatments companies. One said each window would cost me at least a minimum of $400 for 4x4 windows. None of my windows are that small. Charles showed up early, had samples ready and spent a couple hours with us. He was extremely patient with explaining the pros and cons of certain treatments, thoughtful about our newborn and what he may get into in the future. We initially went in thinking that if the cost was out of our budget we would just get 6 of our 12 windows done. We got 12 of our windows done. 11 with faux wood blinds and 1 window with plantation shutters. It's easy to reach Charles as well! Whenever I messaged him he would text or call back and update me on the status. Our blinds came in a little under two weeks and were installed quickly. I am so glad we did not opt to try and just do curtains and curtain rods on our own. It just would not have the same impact. The blinds really make our house a home. It was the final piece after the new paint job and new flooring were put down. Charles and his team were great throughout the whole process! Charles was punctual to measure our 6 windows and provided a wide selection of options to replace my ugly, outdated blinds. About 10 days later, his team came by to install the new blinds. We loved them so much that we had them measure another 2 windows right then and there for a new set of blinds. There was a minor scuff on one of the valances, but his team took care of that and made sure a replacement would be provided. Six months ago I moved into my first home in Downey. The house had recently been renovated and remodeled, new appliances and pipes and roof. The whole nine yards. During the first week or two of ownership I was knocking out all of my move in items. Had the house fogged for bugs, rented a big van and had a move in party, and then on that first night I realized: The place was like a fish bowl in the dark, with no blinds or curtains hung. How I missed that part of my planning, I'm not sure. I easily could have scheduled that to happen right before moving in. So, I called around and read reviews. I learned that most of the blind companies out there have a "designer" come and look at your place and make a quote, then another party comes to install. The reviews I read illustrated some pitfalls in that model, so I started looking specifically for a shop that would send the same person to quote and install. With my list narrowed, I started making calls. To my chagrin, everybody needed 3 - 6 weeks to complete the work due to the end of year and holiday season slowing things down. The person I spoke with at Mr. Mini Blinds added a detail I hadn't heard from the others: They would come by and hang paper blinds during the quote! I'll admit, that was the simple selling point for me. They were thoughtful enough to mention that they'd take care of my fishbowl problem (for free!) during the delay and no one else before them had mentioned it. The rest is all easy and quick history. Charlie and a helper came out on time, measured & quoted, and then I signed up. They were both great people, pleasant and pressure free. They hung paper blinds on all my windows and came back as promised to install. The final install and product was exactly as I expected it to be and after six months of opening and closing blinds, peeking out through them, and watching them sway in the wind - They're all still perfect. 5 stars! read more
