Turned out the Ecm had been wet from the previous owner and was damaged . I purchased an Ecu from a good Mercedes Benz source on eBay and took it to the Ecu guys to program the eBay unit to my car . shady, paid for an ECU that didn't work. He offered to purchase the Audi after we found out that the serial # must match the car and that the purchased ECU will never work. The car had a lot of good parts. Cena Told us that he would pay us after selling it to a local junk guy. We gave him the signed pink slip... He stalled and stalled. He finished pretty quick although when I went to pick both of the modules up he had me sign a paper stating The 280 was only for the data transfer and it didn't include a diagnosis in case there was anything wrong with the modules I brought in. read more

DISHONEST CROOK // STAY AWAY Just a read a recent review with a similar experience. I gave the guy my car with the security light and locked key/no start symptoms. I told him all of the issues I was having and that the ECU that was in the car probably wasn't programmed properly when replaced. He said he can fix it, he looked confident he could do so. He notifies me my car is fixed and ready. I travel an hour to get to his shop and he tells me "the check engine light is still on". I'm wildly confused because the check engine light wasn't on when I gave it to him. He proceeds to tell me that it was. I actually have a code reader myself and when trying to diagnose the initial problem checked for CEL codes. At this point he's still asking for payment. The car did start, but this was an intermittent problem, as told. He proceeds to tell me the reason my car is messed up is because of the engine light, not the ECM, and I shouldn't have changed that, EVEN THO MY ISSUE WAS THE ECM! I never had a Check Engine Light on in the first place. He also proceeds to tell me that the last ECM was fine but it just wasn't programmed (He had the ability to just program that one for less) Only to 5min later say he didn't check the old ECM at all. He was spinning all over the place to absolve any responsibility He typed a generic invoice up that also doesn't explicitly mention a check engine light, like any other shop would for liability reasons..and didn't even have my correct license plate on it. We both inspected the car at the time of delivery, and I verbally mentioned just the security light being on. SINA, then offers a wager... IF he puts the old ECM back in and the check engine light is still on, I owe him an additional $150. If it doesn't come back on, then I guess "oh well, all is good now!" So to make his customers rest assured he says "you better be right or you're fee is out the wazoo" I tell him No, that i'm not going to put a wager on my car for his sick game. He then yells at me to leave. HERE'S THE KICKER!! MY CAR RAN FOR 24HOURS AND THEN BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL STATE Not to mention his POS machine doesn't work so I was forced to give him cash, so now no real financial record. If i could give this business a 0 star i would only good thing he did for me was release my car he got my car in without checking the old pcm and just replaced it. When i asked if the old pcm was good he said he didn't know. He programmed the pcm and it still did not fix the problem. When i asked him what got done while the car was here he said the car still has the same problems it came in with and that it is the wire harness that is bad. (Unless a wire harness is cut burned or spliced it will not go bad) when i asked him if it was cut he said not that he could see. For any customer that has a computer problem and is looking to get it fixed this isn't the correct shop to take to too. And he didn't even let me check out my car before it left the shop he says im allowed to go into his parking lot where the car is located ALSO too my surprise when i picked up my car with the tow truck, the tow truck driver told me this was the 5th car he towed out from ECU GUYS with the same problem. But when i went to pick up my car with a tow truck SINA himself was in Germany and my car was worse then when i brought it in the first place.. So i still paid over 400 for the services and left my car trusting he would fix it when he got back..
