Acquired quotes from this and a couple of others. Went with them based on price, decent reviews, and a quick start date. Also Ed agreed to take care of the fairly extensive brush and young trees along the property line... other estimates didn't offer that it was owners responsibility ...it did cost me extra though, but I'd rather do that than hassling with it myself. Only minor dispute was a rootball on the fence line which they wanted notch, being that the majority of it was on the neighbors side. He did charge me extra to dig it out, but it worth it to me. He used pressure treated posts set in concrete, cedar pickets and construction screws to hold it all together, all in all a quality job. ** Been about a year later fence is holding up . Only thing I'd change is you need to really evaluate the extent of the job so theirs no surprises down the line! read more

I had an appointment with Edwin to come out and give me a quote for my fence. He said he would be here at 6 PM on Monday. At about 6:40 PM he finally sent me a message apologizing and saying that his other job took longer than expected. And asked me if you could come at 5 PM on Tuesday. I figured I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. At 5:05 PM on Tuesday he messaged me saying that his GPS said 45 minutes till he was at my house. By 6:25 PM I was tired of waiting for him and I had another appointment. I tried to call the office, but nobody picked up so I just sent him a message saying that I was no longer interested in doing business with him and that I had another appointment. According to my ring camera, he showed up at 6:45 PM. One day and nearly 2 hours late. I don't know how you can do business this way. So rude and inconsiderate of other people's time. I hired Edwin to install a side gate for me. I actually needed two gates but decided to have him only do one and if that turned out well I'd have him do the second one and other gate repairs. He came to install next day, he arrived about an hour and a half later than time quoted. The gate install went well, looks good and so far so good. As it turns out, I didn't notice until next day after the install that he had left such a huge mess, poor clean up. He left wood and other debris in both my trash bin and recycle bin. Additionally once the concrete dried it looked unfinished and tacky. When I contacted him to ask that he return and remove the debris from my bins smooth out the concrete surrounding the post, his exact text response was "I took the large rubble, fence portion and post. I only discarded light pieces in your trash bins. As far as the cement, it is an unfinished pour to anchor a post, not meant to look pretty. So my apologies, I will not take care of this" Just unacceptable! I've had a ton of contractors out for flooring install, painting, popcorn ceiling removal and more, and none of them, not one has ever left any debris or materials behind for me to dispose of. If you took large rubble, why didn't you just take it all? The concrete was smooth before you started. I will not use for any other jobs and will not recommend. read more
