My friend was moving from Missouri to Michigan and was only 3 hours into his road trip when the alternator failed. Red Hawk drove over 40 miles to meet us and had the car back on the road before 4 pm. He replaced the alternator incredibly fast and, while he was there, also spotted and fixed a separate broken ground wire. He took the time to explain everything clearly and tested the repair multiple times to make sure everything was working perfectly. We agreed on one price of $490…read more Cliff also agreed to fix anything else that was wrong with the car after he changed my starter , Cliff couldn't figure out what else was wrong so I told him I'll take it to the shop and don't worry about it. I paid $50 & $260 for a diagnostic which he never told me a price for it . I then paid more than half of the 490 at the beginning and once the car was fixed I would pay the remaining as stated in the text. He now is harassing me and sending me threats due to me saying don't touch my car anymore and I'll be taking it the shop because he couldn't figure out what else was wrong with it and was guessing it could be this , that and the other. He is a super nice guy and equipped with his lifetime of experience working in cars, obviously knows what he's doing. I was in a sticky spot this week, because my BMW got a flat. Russ' is close enough to my home that I could get there without damaging the rim. He doesn't have BMW tires stocked at the shop and I told him I'd love not to spend an arm and a leg having to tow it, so he took the tire off for me so that I could take it to get it replaced, bring it back to him, and he'd put it back on for me. What a guy! Doing it this way might seem inconvenient, but when you have all the time and but small budget margins, this is the guy I need in my life! He also threw some air in my tires earlier this year on the house, 'cause he rocks. I love having Russ' Auto two blocks from my house. Brett clearly is down to show the neighborhood auto-love and would go out of his way for any customer. Thanks for going the extra mile, guys!
