Guy in the service department acted as if he did not know I was there for a recall repair issue, and he was the one that scheduled the appointment. DO NOT SELL OR TRADE YOUR CAR HERE. My wife and I wanted to sell our 2020 Toyota RAV4 so we got our "guaranteed" deal from truecar to initiate the sell with this here ford dealership. After talking with Jody on the phone he informed me that without them even looking at the car he would knock it down a minimum of 2,000$. I didn't feel right about this because a guaranteed price should be a guaranteed price. I called truecar and they informed me that my hunch was correct and they cannot do that. In fact they didn't even use the correct documentation truecar provided so they can slide under the radar calling your trade in deal "a quote and no one follows it" THEY ARE A CERTIFIED TRUECAR DEALER AND HAVE TO FOLLOW IT. Anyways so then I take my car in. The nice man trying to steal my money named Jack informed me my tires on a car with 17,000 miles were indeed dry rotted in the back but not in the front and that would definitely bring my cars value down. After some more "mark ups" he informed my that now all of a sudden he was wrong and all of my tires has dry rott. So I went to Firestone and orylies and they informed me that yes he was just trying to take more money off. Mixed review to follow, let's start with the good. Maintenance department was way over two stars, the guy who helped me was a solid four star. Quickly diagnosed the issue, got me right in and had me out the door in a little over an hour. Well done. Sales department was disappointing, thus what really brought this down. I was honestly ready to buy a new vehicle. How ready? I brought both sets of keys, cleaned up my current truck, made sure my finances were in order, did some research on what I wanted, and what they had in stock which would meet my needs. Seriously, I was ready for a new truck. Walked from maintenance, as I had some time to kill, a salesman was standing outside and greeted me with a "hello, how are you today?" Told him I was doing well and expected him to ask if I was in the market for a new truck, as that's were I was walking to, but nothing... no follow up. He just looked at me. So I showed myself around the lot for 20 minutes or so and had enough, no one asked if they could show me something. I went into the showroom and a couple of sales people were in there hanging out. One asked if I needed some help, told him what I was looking at on the lot. He came out, was semi-knowledgeable at best, looking up several things on his phone because he wasn't sure, which to be fair, I'd rather he do that than try and BS me or be wrong, so kudos for his Google abilities I guess. I wanted a higher end truck, they are a small dealership and don't get many or the local market doesn't support them getting many in stock. Went back in to talk numbers, I tossed out a low ball number, expecting that he would talk to the manager and comeback with a more reasonable price, especially being end of 2020 looking at a vehicle from the current year, knowing the next year's vehicles are rolling in now. Nothing. He just said that the manager said "no" to the price. No counter on what they could do or anything. I was shocked that I walked out of there without a new truck. Called another Ford dealership in the area and we are setting something up, they seem more excited for my sales business. The sale was there for they guy, it was his to lose. read more

This place is far from reliable. We brought in our truck knowing the issue that needed to be fixed and they said they could have it fixed within a few days. Well, they call us back and tell us that they ran a diagnostic and it was a programming issue. They claimed to fix and called us back to pick up the truck. Well, it wasn't fixed. We had to turn around and leave our truck overnight. Fast forward to the next day, they claim they don't have the part and won't know when they will be in stock. We were told that the money used for the diagnostic would be put towards the repair. Now they can't fix it !!! This place is HORRIBLE. They said the repair was going to cost $650! For one tiny part!!!! What a joke. we've come here many times and never leave happy. They refused to Drive to Dothan. Save your money and the headache. read more

We went to them with the intent of purchasing a Ford Ranger after we searched all the other dealers in town. We found what we wanted and were prepared to order one,until they showed us the trade in value they would pay!! It was several thousand below any dealer in town !! Dropped my Ford there for a list of repairs. A/C Charge, Head Light Bulb Replacements, etc. In fairness, the A/C charge seems good. They did not replace the cover on the back of one headlight and rain got in causing fogging. When they put the bumper cover back on (has to be taken off to replace headlamp bulbs) it was not aligned correctly. Suffice to say, for a Ford Dealer, pretty poor service. If you live in this area, do yourself a favor. Go to Master Mechanix in Level Plains. They seem to do things correctly. read more

To date, I've bought 3 brand new vehicles.. but Ed Sherling Ford takes the cake for the absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my 31 years of living. I bought a brand new 2020 Ford Explorer ST off their floor and a mere 6 months later I was stranded at work with a dead battery in 12 degree weather.. mind you, I am I travel nurse and work 4 hours away. After getting the battery jumped off.. I was able to make it back to Enterprise (even though the transmission was messing up the entire time) after working three 12 hour shifts only to be told I'd have to wait an HOUR for someone to even look at it. I completely explained my situation and even explained I had to go pick up my 4 month old baby.. waiting was not an option and I'd need a rental car. Nick in the service station proceed med to tell me how he basically didn't care and there was nothing he could do. It was not until I asked to speak with the service manager that I got a car from them... a car that had a whopping 30 miles till empty when I got in it. So essentially I had enough to make I to the gas station. The next day, I had not received a call still so I went up there around 1 and Nick told me they couldn't find and issue with the battery but the something was messed up in the transmission. The part was in back order so he said it would take about 2 weeks. At this point I got a rental at Hertz that was so not comparable to my personal vehicle, but oh well right. So a week goes by.. no one calls.. so I call, we're still waiting on the part. Another 9 days goes by... no one calls.. so I call at 1030.. the guy on the phone says the transmission was fixed last night and we're just waiting on the oil change. I'm confused at why we're waiting on the oil to be changed when they've had it for over 2 weeks at this point but I think "it's fine, it will be done today and I'll have my car back". So at 4 o'clock I head to Hertz to take back the rental.. when I get there I immediately call Ford and request the shuttle... 20 minutes later I have to call back and ask if anyone is on the way because it's been 20 minutes and I'm a mere 60 seconds away! The person that answers says the lady went to Enterprise Rent-a-car... so at this point I'm confused about the miscommunication because I specifically stated "Hertz" when I called. So I understand accidents happen, but it's been one thing after another with this service department. I'm fed up, and when I walk in that department I make sure Nick knows how dissatisfied I am with the entire experience. Well, Nick and his "wonderful" customer service skills begins raising his voice at me.. CALLS ME AN ASS. I'm not even exaggerating. Was I highly upset? Absolutely. Did I voice that the whole experience was the "shittiest customer service I've ever experienced"? Absolutely. In his raised voice he says "just let me explain what had happened" and makes all these excuses for the miscommunication.. honestly, I don't care. Why don't I care? Because I explained my situation to him 2 weeks ago and he didn't give not one care in the world... he had no empathy for me taking care of patients all night for 12 hours and then driving home 4 hours and having to go pick up my newborn. Is that his problem? No. Could he have advocated better customer service for me? Absolutely! I bought a $60,000 vehicle to ensure dependability but my first mistake was clearly buying that vehicle from Ed Sherling Ford. read more

I went in looking to buy a car, salespeople didn't know their inventory, let alone their product. I asked to drive a manual, they said they had none. Walked out to the lot and found three with manuals. They really couldn't be bothered for my business, so instead of staying local like I tried, I went up to Stiver's Ford in Montgomery and was really well taken care of. Took my car in for them to turn off the airbag and the seatbelt light and the tire pressure light, after they said yes they called 4 hours before I was supposed to pick it up(we had a deadline for it and they knew this) and said it would be $400 more(bc clearly the problem wasnt what they thought the first time) than the $1000 quote and wouldnt be ready for 4 more days, past my deadline. So I just wasted money, crooks. Horrible will never go back and I recommend anywhere but here! read more
