After thinking the interview went well with the Athletic Director (I place no blame on him) I was told I will be brought back to meet with the other coaches and interview with them. A few weeks later I was then told I would be interviewing with 1 coach and 2 HR people. First off, since when do you need to interview with HR reps and 2nd, IT'S A CHEERLEADING COACH POSITION. Give me a flippin break. Four people for a PART-TIME cheerleading coach position! Had to sit through this interview while the "HR" people mean mugged me the whole time. I'm sure it's a great school; the campus was beautiful but why the HR interview????? Weird vibes from them.

White lady yells at ME (a person of COLOR) for making an honest mistake while the white boy who does the same mistake I did doesn't even get an attitude. And then proceeds to go yell at another person of color for doing the same mistake. And why is it that a bunch of kids that were late because of their bus getting them to school late still have to face the consequences even tho it was not their fault that their bus driver decided "oh hey let me take my sweet time taking these high schoolers to their insanely strict and unfair highschool!" I'd love to say that this school is everything that I hoped for it to be But alot of the students here also notice that the staff here just treat the students like they don't even matter...? I mean even the reviews here are complaining that this school isn't even all that!! And the thing is the staff are constantly saying "stick to the rules!" And "we care alot about bullying" but when it's a staff suddenly those rules don't apply to them? Why is it that us younger folks have to deal with adults nonsense just because they're older than us? No student can do anything about it either because they do not make it a safe environment where they can express their feelings/opinions! This is extremely irritating and this should be talked about! I have never in my life been treated this badly in a school before! And Ccsd schools usually treat their students like the dirt on their shoes! Shows how bad Ccsd schools really are!

Specifically, the ham and cheese sandwiches are often served completely frozen solid in the middle. It's very difficult for students to eat a meal that is still an ice block, and it's disappointing to go through the afternoon hungry because the lunch provided wasn't ready to eat. We would really appreciate it if the staff could ensure all meals are properly thawed and prepared before they are handed out. We just want healthy, edible options so we can stay focused in class!"

I am currently in 7th grade. 6th grade: Pretty fun and cool, I was in the bowling and theater club. Almost all of my teachers were very nice to me, but my math teacher at that time made me feel dumb. I won't be able to say the name for certain reasons, but this teacher would sort-of embarass me in front of everyone in the class and would make rude comments about me. There was this one time where I was trying to retake a math test. But as I was working, this teacher said " Hurry up, Charlie. I want to go home." Their tone in the comment made me feel stupid, rushed, and stressed out. 7th grade: Horrible in most ways. I was in the bowling club, and the teachers I had were still nice. But most of the kids there were very annoying, troublemaking, and loud. The overwhelming crowds and bad influences from most of the students made me feel very uncomfortable to the point where I had to get homeschooled after spring break. To any student who is wondering where I am, I'm homeschooled at home and can still come to after school programs/events. However, the principal, staff, and most of my teachers were very kind to me. The electives I had in 7th grade, which was beginning orchestra and student aids, were the best electives ever in my opinion. If you are about to be a 7th or 8th grader, I recommend you choose student aids because you can help a teacher of your choice and have lots of fun and free time to work on unfinished assignments. That was my review on Sig Rogich middle school.

She told us that she really liked how the school day was organized and really enjoyed how approachable and helpful her teachers were towards her. She also said that she already made new friends and is excited to finally be a part of the Dawson Community!
