Even though I was not selected, I joined my wife here for Yelp Elite event. Not sure who I upset.... lol Very good! I had a baked empanada called chicken Saltena which was amazing! My wife had the beef and potato- very good! Both were baked in an Argentinian style. Really good coffee and a nice comfortable place with nice music. The people that work here were very helpful and friendly. This is a little bit out of the way for us, honestly. But we will be back! Our son lives in Houston and Argentinian empanadas are much more common there, so I can't wait to bring him here the next time he is in town.

Best churros in San Antonio! I am so lucky I found this little hole in the wall spot. The empanadas were delicious, perfectly crispy was a delicious warm filling. I loved the creamy chicken spinach empanada. I met the owner of this place and she was so sweet. She talked to us a little bit and gave us some recommendations on which empanadas to try next time. I can't wait to bring my family here!

Always on the lookout for empanadas, I hear about EDA that is close to my house so off I go. One thing to note, they do not have signage with the business name where you can see it off Bandera Rd but if you pull into the retail strip you can see it from the side entrance. Not having been here before I ask the young lady at the counter to describe some of the available fillings and what she would recommend. She happily went through the menu and i dicided to go with 3 sweet (1xapple, 2xdulce de leche con banana) and 3 savory (beef/potato, chicken/potato, and plain beef). Some were already made, and a couple others had to be fried fresh. When I got home I tried them all throughout the day and really enjoyed them all. The outside shell of the empanadas was firm and crispy and did not become running from the inside stuffings. The savory ones were all well-seasoned and were still warm with a nice crispness to the outer shell. They reminded me a bit of Indian samosas. Yummy. The sweet ones were also very tasty but not overly sugary. I especially liked the dulce de leche with banana.... really good. Overall, I really enjoyed my first time at EDA and look forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.

I really like this place and the iced coffee I got was amazing with my Boba in it. The empanadas are out of this world. They are packed with filling and the of pastry does not get soggy. I had the pleasure meeting Gisele when I went and she was very nice and explained a lot of their products to me. I highly recommend trying this place out .yummy food and yummy drinks.

A first time visit & I'm so happy I found this place. The atmosphere is nice and has indoor seating. They have so many options of empanadas so whatever your preference is, there's something for everyone. I purchased a chicken, beef & potato, beef saltena. They were all very delicious, filling and I loved the crust of the empanadas' my favorite was the beef saltena. I also got a strawberry matcha and was very surprised at how delicious it was! I'm a little boba snob and I thought it was yummy! Overall a great place for lunch or to get a nice Togo order to take home. I'll definitely become a frequent here!

This place is definitely a blink and you'll miss it due to location. But for those that find this restaurant will get to have some pretty delicious empanadas! Stopped by here with my daughter and we both felt like it was a pretty chill spot. Coffee shop vibes while being an eatery too. Staff was pretty cool and helpful about recommendations - just way too many things to choose from. I appreciated that if an empanada was out that they would make it fresh. We tried both the apple and the beef and cheese. Incredibly delicious!

I really wish this place was closer to where I live! Maybe it's a good thing that it's not because this good establishment would take all my money. I ordered the "beef anfmd cheese" empanada. It just earned a place of my top 5 snacks. I could see myself eating 2 of those for breakfast. I didn't have time to read the full menu, but now I know they serve fruit empanadas that will be my next order. I also ordered the "Brown Sugar Latte with tea with bobba". I'm not a big fan of bobba, it was a fun addition but I prefer no bobba. The drink itself was amazingly delish! I hope I get to go back soon.

My bf came home with some empanadas yesterday, he was on his way to cut a haircut and decided to look for food and this spot came up, we've gone to PJs by here but don't even knw this place was here. He got a variety of the empanadas, I will say the fried ones and the chicken Florentine were my favorite, I didn't care for the spinach one though, glad he only got 1 lol. He als got a couple of their cookies and a dragon if used tea and some other drink and both were very refreshing.

I was out and about running errands on this side of town. I had been wanting empanadas for a while but I don't live near any spots. I checked out EDA on Yelp and decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I was able to place my order online. I love guava empanadas but those seem to run out first. By ordering ahead I could guarantee I could get one. I also ordered an apple empanada to try. As soon as I parked, I received a notification that my order was ready. The restaurant has the perfect cafe vibe and is nicely put together. When I finally got home and examined my empanadas I was very impressed. Perfectly golden, the crust was solid. I cracked open the guava one to get a look and it was filled nicely. I popped it in the microwave for 10 seconds and took a trip to the sweet life. Now sometimes I like flaky empanadas and sometimes I like them more like turnovers. This is more like a really good turnovers so be aware. I appreciate how full the empanadas were. It was truly a treat.

I pass by this place all the time whenever I leave my subdivision, but never stopped. I finally did make a stop today to try them out. The restaurant had the same setup as Wei Chow. I was greeted by a friendly lady, and she took my order. Since it was mid afternoon, the display case was almost empty, but I was reassured there were more in the back. I opted for the beef and potato, beef and cheese, and chicken saltena. My order was placed in a small box, and I was given some chimichurri. When I got home I discovered that I received 2 beef and potato, instead of beef and cheese. The empanadas were small but stuffed with filling. I preferred the beef and potato over the chicken saltena. The chimichurri added a nice touch. While good, I was disappointed with the size, especially for the price. Not sure if I will make it back here anytime soon.

I tried beef saltena, creamy spinach, and guayaba a quesa. The filling was really yummy. I thought the crust was slightly on the drier side. The guava and cream cheese was good, but I almost couldn't tell it was guava, it just tasted like jam and cream cheese. I tried this place through Uber eats pick up!

Shredded chicken empanadas. *Well seasoned, soft center and crispy outer layer. Stepped in to grab a quick bite and decided to go with some of the empanadas that were ready to be packaged. *courteously I was offered freshly made empanadas with a 15 minute wait time. *Offered milk alternatives for boba, Coffee and tea drinks . *Relaxed ambiance *Overall a good and simple experience !

E10. Beef Empanada All the empanadas are AMAZING

Tried everything! Loved everything! The sweet empanadas are divine, guava & cheese was my favorite. The pineapple is delicious as well. The savory empanadas. Lord have mercy! The tuna, never expected it to be one of my favorites. The beef salteña and chicken salteña are high in the list. The humita was an unexpected treat. If I had to pick one, I can't. I'd show you pictures, but I ate them all. Must. Come. Back.

The empanadas here are so good! There's only ever one person working so if there's a line or if they get a phone call, it might be slow.

Is there seating inside the restaurant? or is this strictly a takeaway?

There is a small couch against one wall and a small table with two chairs in the front. It is not really designed to be an eat in restaurant. However, it is directly connected by a hallway to Wei Chow next-door, which is owned by the same people.… Read more

My son and I both like Colombian food based on visits to a competitor that we have gone to many times closer to our house. When I mentioned this place to him, he said we should try it out soon. Today was the day. The first thing I noticed was the size of the dining room. It was roomy with several tables that were appropriately spread out. The decor is attractive with eye catching art painted on the white walls. The tables all have a splash of color on them, as well. Altogether is creates a bright and cheery atmosphere. We were very comfortable. I also noticed that the one television on the far wall was showing Univision and the music being played was in Spanish. I really like the music of a restaurant to reflect the nationality of the cuisine. Our server was an extremely helpful young man. He helped us with the menu. Unlike what is stated in other reviews, the food is described in english. Unfortunately, there are some items that don't translate. Those are the ones I needed help with. We both ended up ordering the same thing. It was lengua in a delicious tomato sauce served with french fries, avocado slices, white rice, salad, and a fried plantain patty. The amount of food on the plates was absolutely outrageous, but we managed to get pretty danged close to clean plates. The flavors were really nice. There was a huge squeeze bottle of Salsa Colombiana (I think that's what he called it) and another with Salsa tartara, the Columbian version of tartar sauce. It was amazing. It was creamy and savory without that sweet pickle taste American folk put on seafood. For drinks, I had a jugo de pina. My son had one made with passion fruit. I heard them being made fresh in the kitchen. They blended the fresh fruit with some water or milk and ice. Mine was really refreshing. It was served in those giant iced tea glasses some places use. There was a lady and her son at another table. I listened as they ordered in Spanish. They asked almost the same questions as we did, so being fluent in Spanish must not mean you would understand the Colombia specific food vocabulary. As we were paying our bill, the lady was pointing to everything on her plate asking "What is this?" in Spanish. I found that a little humorous, as the explanations when ordering were pretty good. My son and I had not problems recognizing the foods on our plate based on what we had heard. On our way home, we passed by the Bandera location. My son pointed it out to me. I don't remember ever seeing it there, but my son says he knew about it. That made me wonder why we frequented the competitor on Tezel where we like the food, but felt uncomfortable being packed in so close in the tiny dining room. In the truck, my son was already telling me what he planned to eat next time. There will definitely be a next time. I need to try their arepas and empanadas, as well as some other jugos.
