I was at Meadowood Mall looking for shirts. I went to Eddie Bauer's, and have been there before, and always had employees greet me and have on occasions helped me find clothing items my size. I was there today. I was in the shop for around 15 minutes. There were two young women minding the store and minding their own business. I walked the length of the store and past the counter where they were. One was too busy checking out her phone while the other had a bunch of flowers in her hand doing something that apparently commanded her attention. I was never acknowledged. It was as if I was not there. Not even a glance. That is not Eddie Bauer. Employees not properly trained can do a lot of harm to a business. I was perplexed and disappointed. I convinced my self this was not a good time to make a purchase under the circumstances and I walked out just liked I walked in. I am still a loyal Eddie Bauer customer, but today was not a good day to make a purchase. Your online catalog and stores I would without hesitation rate 4.5 to 5 stars. Your nonverbal employees with blinders definitely warrant a generous 2 star rating. read more

I've been shopping at this store for years, since they first opened their doors. EB is a company that makes quality products and stands behind what they make (as long as it's purchased online from the EB site or in their store.) Their employees are also very helpful, professional and friendly. The store always have such a wide variety of merchandise for people who spend time in the outdoors but most items also work well as business casual clothing, for those of us who work in a business casual environment. It's designed for comfort, so I usually feel like I'm wearing my pajamas, no matter what I'm doing. Stylish, innovative and comfortable clothing. I'll keep shopping in store for as long as they're open and keep selling high quality products at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this store! read more

This is the only EB for about 120 miles! It is sort of tucked in the center of the Meadowood Mall but they have a decent selection of product. It has always been pretty empty when I've been there but I think that is because it is kind of dark and EB doesn't do much marketing. I have found lots of great items here - hopefully you will, too! Customer service is good here and there are almost always more associates present than customers. Expect at least two people to ask if you need anything when you're in the store. read more

The store is always clean and pretty well laid up, which makes it pretty easy to find the things that we are looking for. The staff is always helpful and quick to answer any questions that we may have. They have constant sales, and a decent clearance area, where deals can be found, but I have an issue with companies charging more money for items just because they are their name brand. I almost fell over when I saw a $50+ price for a pair of lounge pants. Are they well made? Sure, but are they better than the pair I can get for half that price or less elsewhere? We will continue to shop here, but with the prices they have, our options are limited... read more

While I'm not as fond of Eddie Bauer's merchandise as I once was, I'll give credit where credit is due - this is one of the few retailers left that still provides exceptional customer service. In particular, their very generous return policy is something that is almost impossible to find in the retail world of the 21st century. The sales staff here has always made my shopping experience easy and fun; I've been her several times, and will doubtless be back. read more

I thought I reviewed this years ago! Apparently not. I have been a fan of Eddie Bauer's for years mostly through the catalogue. This store is very nice and really harkens back to the good old days of Retail Clothing. - A nicely laid out store, with plenty of room for leisurely perusing. - Friendly knowledgable staff who are there to help, but don't hover. - Quality merchandise that is classic and not trendy (OK flannel is in now, but they have always carried flannel) - Spacious individual changing rooms with lots of hooks and mirrors. - Reasonable prices and if they don't have something in the size/color you want, you can order online directly from the store and it is delivered for free! A few days after I wrote my initial review, I happened to stop by again and noticed that the flannel shirts I had just purchased were now on sale with an even deeper discount - an additional $5 off. I was telling my friend this (one of the shirts I purchased was for her husband) when the sales associate overheard me. Why yes, I do happen to still have my receipt from those purchases with me. And a few minutes later, she handed me a gift card for the difference in sales price! Even better, I was able to then hand it over to my friend to use for the coat she was buying that was originally $399 on sale now for $299, and with my gift card now down to $289. I love me some Eddie Bauer. Having lived in the Northwest for much of my life how could I not? The Reno EB is nice, small but well stocked with a good selection and a decent sized rack of clearance items. Still it seems the prices remain a bit higher than I'd like to see, especially on the sale racks. None the less, it's worth a look, especially before any travel as they have great bags, wrinkle free and light weight clothes. Not to mention wonderful hiking apparel and gadgets. read more

I purchased a pair of the new curvy trouser jeans, and the salesperson suggested that as they tend to stretch I might want to try a smaller size. I did however buy my regular size and I wore them to work. They did stretch out quite a bit and as I had prewashed them according the the tag prior to wearing them I didn't think I could exchange them. Gina, one of the managers, allowed me to exchange them anyway. I just had to take a minute to say what terrific customer service Eddie Bauer has. read more

For those who remember when Eddie Bauer advertised itself as an "expedition outfitter" and carried first-quality clothing and gear, the modern store is sort of sad. The merchandise is fine, no complaints, but you can get similar stuff all over without having to go to a mall to find it, and prices are apt to be lower. This is like a costume shop for people who want to dress up like outdoorsmen. read more
