I cant recommend this place enough…read more Well worth the wait. The costs are a bit high, but it's not obscene for the quality of the food. Our server was kind, helpful, attentive, and just everything you look for in a server. We waited about 20 minutes to be sat, but you'd expect that at a breakfast place at breakfast time. No concern there. I ordere chicken fried steak- amazing, gritz bites - double amazing, tried my husbands sweet potato waffle - triple amazing! The mac and cheese was just fine. I would easily go back again just got the chicken fried steak, sweet potato waffle, or gritz bites. The ambiance is quite nice. Theres a table dedicated to the matriarch of the establishment, which really adds to the southern, home cooked vibes. The to go counter was busy the whole time we sat, but they seemed to move quickly. We were close enough to the door to hear the hostess telling people they were running out of certain items and that the would had increased to 30 or 40 minutes. Be sure to get there early to not miss out. Everyone was friendly, and the food was phenomenal. Can't ask for anything else.

Gritz Café Review…read more "The Day Vegas Introduced Us to Catfish, Sweet Potato Waffles... and a Missing Collard Green Mystery." June 17, 2026 -- the day Tiffany got insider intel from a Vegas local who told her, "You HAVE to try Gritz Café."That was all she needed to hear. She told me, I checked my Las Vegas Yelp food list, and sure enough -- Gritz Café was already saved. Destiny. Since Tiffany was already near the restaurant and I was still at the hotel, I ordered online. We couldn't enjoy the dine‑in experience this time, but we're saving that for the sequel. The Orders Tiffany went with one of her go‑to comfort dishes: Biscuit & Gravy Scrambled egg hard Potatoes with fried onions I saw Catfish on the menu and immediately felt spiritually connected. I ordered The Mississippi: 3 fried catfish pieces (grilled next time) Collard greens Steamed mixed vegetables Sweet Potato Waffle Extra tartar sauce Extra syrup Then came the hardest part: waiting for Tiffany and the food.I'm a smart husband, so I won't say which one I was more excited for. The Arrival... and the Plot Twist Tiffany arrived with the food, we unpacked everything, and immediately noticed two things missing: My collard greens Her scrambled egg Vegas giveth, Vegas taketh away. Tiffany's Biscuit & Gravy She said it was outstanding, even with the twist:The sausage was cut into pieces and placed on top instead of mixed in.Different, but delicious.Only the missing egg kept it from perfection. My Catfish & Waffle Combo The catfish wasn't as big or thick as the ones I get back home, but the flavor was outstanding -- seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Sweet Potato Waffle?A revelation.Perfect size, perfect thickness, perfect flavor.I'm now a believer. The steamed vegetables were... vegetables. They served their purpose and made me feel like I made at least one healthy decision. But I was really looking forward to those collard greens. Customer Service Redemption Tiffany called the restaurant and was transferred to the manager, Olivia. She was extremely apologetic and assured us the refund would hit my card by the end of the day.(At the time of this writing, it hasn't shown up yet -- but we're giving Vegas grace.) Final Verdict Even with the missing items, the food was delicious, the flavors were on point, and the service recovery was handled well. We're excited to return -- in person -- on our next Vegas trip.Because Gritz Café deserves a proper dine‑in moment.

Love! It's sad when businesses don't make it, I was lead here trying to go back to a place we went…read morebefore that had delicious catfish. Thankfully this place fit the bill! The fact that they rep the Niners was also a nice bonus! We came in, grabbed a menu and sat. Kenny promptly came over and wanted to take our order. There's a lot of choices we needed a minute. We ended up doing the combo. I did the fried catfish, mac, and the BEP had good reviews so I did that. Woman did the grilled catfish, greens and yams. The menu said fried food takes 20+ minutes, when I asked Kenny he said it'd be 6-7. I'm assuming that estimate is for busier times. They had a steady stream while we were there around 1. I enjoy the places with history that have the pics on the wall w the Celebs that have come through. I didn't know them all but Kenny and his family are obviously well loved, and after tasting the food I get it! The fish was crispy and flavorful! The mac was cheesy and delicious, and the peas had a nice smooth flavor. I think my favourite part of all was that they have and give togo cups of Crystal! My favourite and all I can tolerate heat wise. The pancake cornbread was also a fun treat I enjoyed for dessert. Woman's food was good but I liked mine better. The fish was cooked w bell peppers, which I don't really eat anymore. It had onions too, reminded me of a fajita. I don't eat yams butt tried her greens, they were ok. She said that to her they tasted canned. Idk but they weren't my favourite. My plate ftw. I'd absolutely go back, I'm sure it's a vibe when there's a game on. It stinks how I found them but I'm SO glad I did!

The catfish is fried to perfection and the okra!! The black eyed peas were seasoned so damn good!!!! I also tried the greens and they were pretty good too! The Yams were flavorful and not too sweet or mushy for my likings! The Mac and cheese was pretty decent. The drink of choice was the koolaid and lemonade mixed which brought me back to my Alabama living days! The ambiance reminds you of being in a family owned restaurant, there's pictures on the wall and you can even see them cooking the food in the kitchen which I thought was pretty cool! I will definitely be visiting them again while I'm in town!

I have discovered that cooking for small groups is nothing like cooking for large groups...however, Southern Style rose to the occasion and delivered quality, delicious, hot, and freshly made chicken, greens, mac and cheese, corn bread, fish, yams to perfection. They rightly possibly gain new clients as people were asking about how to contact them for further events. Brothers you have hit another home run. So good! Dirty Rice added depth with its rich, seasoned warmth, and Fried Pork Chops stood strong and generous, wrapped in comfort. At first, they were just dishes, each with their own flavor and story. But as they came together, something changed. Fried Chicken found balance in Collard Greens' quiet strength, while Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Okra became joyful companions. Dirty Rice connected them all, and Fried Pork Chops grounded the table with steady warmth. Together, they realized they were better as one--each bringing just enough spice, soul, and comfort without overpowering the others. In that simple kitchen, they became more than a meal--they became a family, sharing love in every bite. Patience was rewarded from the long wait in the back of the eatery as the "Employees Only!" reads: Behind these doors is a bunch of noise but a lot of love coming out...
