Holy smokes! I've been lucky enough to have food from Chef Nery and the Slanging Tacos team a few times. I've sampled around the menu with all the tacos and even the sliders. The food: you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The shrimp tacos and the sliders hit the spot for me lately but I won't hesitate to get any thing on this menu! You can tell by the quality, the presentation and the overall experience that this family is putting their heart and soul into providing great food. The experience: if you go to the truck or visit them in The Mint, you'll experience awesome passionate and great people that truly love their work and the community they serve. I'm always greeted with a warm smile, a firm handshake and a great overall experience. I personally love the truck experience and being out in the community but The Mint is also a great addition to be able to go in, sit, relax, watch the game and have a beer too. Slanging tacos leases the kitchen out and they are located in the mint tavern bar. They also have a food truck so 2 locations. SO YUMMY!! We ordered the asada tacos with cheese, onion, cilantro, cilantro aioli, cojita cheese, pickled onion. The shells are the perfect amount of crunch. When I say delicious I mean so delicious. The chips are housemade and they get the oil hot enough so the chips are crispy and not soggy and chewy like most chips attempted in small batches. The salsas have a flavor and good kick to be deliciously flavorful. Birria bombs were cheesy and fun to eat. Don't miss out. They also have half off wells drinks and beer 4-7 at the bar. Can't beat those prices. There are a couple games and skee ball machines. Perfect way to end our Vegas trip. read more

I sort of hit two birds with one stone, checking out "The Mint" for the first time as well as slangin tacos. It has a main bar as well as another bigger room attached w/TVs tables and a pool table. The service was decent considering it was not packed at all when we cane in it was Happy Hour. My guest ordered a beer in tap & I got a vodka cranberry-the tab cane n I had to do a double take...$3.25 for a fairly stiff alcoholic beverage. In Vegas near the Strip. Not too shabby! We also ordered shrimp & Birriria tacos 2 decent sized tacos for $10. $17 for 2 tacos + 2 well liquor drinks was pretty impressive. We visited Slanging Tacos in the Mint Tavern a few nights ago. Wow ! I've had many tacos in my life but these are UNIQUE. Slow cooked birria , nice crispy shell ! Nery and has wife are serving up some of the best in the city . Their family works hard and takes pride in what they do. We love coming here & WE WILL BE BACK ! Slanging Tacos kept showing up in my feed and I stalked them on social media and told myself I would get to their truck one day. I saw that they were going to be by my house so I headed there for lunch. It's a food truck owned by the cutest family. The husband and wife work as a team to run it from taking orders to cooking. Everything on the menu looks so good. I was torn between tacos and birria fries but that day I went with the birria fries. I took my order to go and when they handed me my bag it was so heavy. The portion was huge and I got a few meals out of it since I had leftovers. The birria fries were loaded with tender birria meat, cheese, salsa, and a chipotle sauce. They had a little heat kick to them from one of the sauces but I liked it. They were really flavorful. I can't wait to try their tacos on my next stop to them. What a delicious food truck! I was in DTLV at a rec center type of place for my friend's roller derby game. This food truck was parked outside and they were even allowing people to bring the food inside, which was awesome. By the time we got there, they were running out of quite a bit of items, which was totally understandable seeing as they were the only food spot around. They were super friendly with us, too, which was great. My friend and I ordered some quesadillas and fries. I didn't realize the fries had a spice to them and a nice kick! They were SO good! The quesadillas were also super good. I wish I had ordered more of them! The flavor of both items were seriously spot on. My friend ordered this hot dog looking thing, too, and I took a bite of that, too, and it was super tastey. Definitely a delicious food truck. I randomly found them at foodie fest and I was torn between the birria fries and the chicken pastor tacos.
