We ordered orange chicken, beef & broccoli, egg rolls, steamed dumplings, cream puffs, chicken chow mein, shrimp lo mein with a side of white rice. The only thing edible was the egg role and cream puffs. Everything else was gummy, over cooked, over breaded and just overall terrible. Also - they ran out of white rice (what?!) so instead gave us a box of rice covered in soy sauce - not to be confused with fried rice. I ordered Mongolian beef with lo mein noodles and cream cheese won tons for lunch. I am very happy with the lo mein; there were large snap peas, carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, baby corn and broccoli florets throughout the bowl; you'll get a vegetable in every bite! The meat was also in large delicious pieces. The cream cheese won tons were crispy, however, they were bite sized, tasteless and underwhelming. There was a huge container of watery sweet and sour dipping sauce which I didn't even use half of. Overall, the lo mein would have earned this place 5 stars but the cream cheese won tons were pathetically small and tasteless. read more

Eddie Chengs has so many regular customers in the Lakeville location. So easy to tell by their familiar connections and conversations. While an occasional visitor, still treated very well. This is what sets a businesses apart from all the "other guys" is treating everyone with respect. So, while you maybe haven't learned my name or story, as a business give the same kindness always is key. Actually finished a journal of writing study in this Eddie Chang for the University transcribing soon into a book. My memory of sitting (pre-Covid19) relaxing and writing in the small dining room will never be forgotten. "I finished" I called out loud. The staff seemed happy for me despite no idea of what happened. This memory will always be at Eddie Chang's Lakeville Store. This is what life is about, making memories and celebrating them with whatever that special dinner is. Now about this cuisine, quality and quantity is absolutely delicious and over the top. We love ordering from Eddie Cheng's. Their prices are really great and the portions are big, I'm a huge hot and sour/wanton/egg drop soup fan and theirs is the big containers for less than $4 per, vs $5-7 or more at other places. We pretty much only order through door dash but the egg drop soup is always so hot it stays hot for like an hour it's pretty amazing. The wings are decent, big and meaty, the Szechuan dumplings are fantastic, and the couple of different entrees we have had were delicious. I ordered this for the first time this last week, and I was skeptical bc not all the reviews were super great...but I wasn't disappointed! The food was hot and full of flavor. Their lo mein noodles were perfection. The egg rolls crisp, full and tasty! The delivery was quick comparatively! My only complaint is that their was no sweet and sour sauce included for the egg rolls..but I'm sure I could have requested it, and it was a little heavy on the oil, but it's Chinese takeout...sort of comes with the territory. read more

I've tried. Believe me, I've tried. We have lived around here for forever and Eddie C's is the closest Chinese food restaurant. Yes, they have a couple good things on the menu . . . But after repeated attempts with multiple soups, I can confidently say that ALL of their soups are terrible. In particular the House Special soup. It was the most bland soup ever. No flavor, just massive veggies (like the kind in their entrees/not cut) and some sort of flavorless broth. Bad soup aside, when I called in for the first time (I have had all the bad soups there and never complained), I was told if I wanted a refund for my $7.95 soup that I had to drive it back down there and give it to them. While I understand the ask, I find it to be terrible customer service considering the fact that I had to go GET it in the first place. In the name of customer service, wouldn't you just say "I'm so sorry, let me credit that $7.95 from your total. We hope you come back and try us again soon." INSTEAD, I heard, "bring it back for refund" three times... over and over... and then she said "bring it all back!" What the heck?! We ordered Egg Foo Young & Beef Broccoli with Hot Garlic Sauce & Broccoli with Hot Garlic Sauce. The only thing that was seasoned was the gravy for the Egg Foo Young. Everything else was BLAND - no salt, no soy sauce, absolutely no garlic flavor or spicy flavor whatsoever. Instead it tasted closer to a sweet sugary sauce. There was lots of beef which was very tender however, again, no seasoning. What's worse, they didn't include any soy sauce packets or any other packets. We were moving and hadn't moved any of our kitchen stuff yet so seasoning with our own spices wasn't an option. I gave it a 2 because the gravy was good and the broccoli had just the right amount of crunchiness. But, that's not enough for me to want to go back and try their food again. read more

After the longest day EVER with a 5 year old recovering from strep I decided to give this place a try....no way was I cooking! I ordered for pick-up...an order of cream cheese wontons and 2 combo dinner plates (sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's Chicken) dinner combo plates come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. They said it would be ready in 10 min and I was there even a bit early and it was all set to go!! Which was great...super friendly people also! I returned home pretty excited..the amount of food for the price was awesome when it came to the dinner combo plates...I thought maybe I had found my new go to place!??? BUT then it all went down hill....the wontons were pathetic....tiny and barely any cream cheese....super bland..which I didn't think could be possible...same thing with the egg rolls..literally crumbs of meat and all soggy cabbage no flavor at all..but I figured maybe since they come with the dinner plates they skimp on quality. The sweet and sour sauce comes in a separate container when you order the sweet and sour chicken entree which I thought was awesome so I could choose how much I wanted..but it was super watery and flavor disappeared after a second of chewing...literally tasted like they watered it down after making the batch. The rice was AWFUL no flavor....I've never understood how people can say fried rice can have no flavor at some places and now I do....tons of packets of soy sauce later it was decent. The three star rating is basically only because the General Tso's Chicken was amazing! Definitely delicious....and also because it was a painless order-pick-up situation...but I won't be back. If you do find yourself there I would highly recommend the General Tso's Chicken but don't get the dinner combo plate.....go for white rice and skip the egg roll and wontons. read more

Very nice little Chinese take out. Have had many different things from the menu. The boneless spare ribs are amazing. Food is always fresh, I like how you can see everything being cooked fresh. If you don't call in your order, be prepared to wait a bit. Again, fresh cooking. Very nice mom and pop owners. Nice family. Prices are right where they should be. Excellent Chinese takeout food. The Sesame chicken is 10/10. The cream cheese wontons are crispy and flaky - the only draw back is there was less cream cheese than I'm used to. The chicken with orange flavor is an 8/10. The white rice is sticky and delicious. The portion sizes are generous, and the food was hot when it was delivered. No complaints. We ordered takeout from here last night . We ordered the sesame chicken and kung pow chicken dinners . It included fried rice and an egg roll, both of which were excellent. If you value customer service, there are much better choices a stones throw away. They would not honor their pricing from their online menu. It was $0.20 different from their updated menu. Had a great experience first few times but very bad experience the last time. Won't go back! I picked up dinner on the way home from work and we ordered quite a few different pints of food. We ordered the Mongolian beef as one of our pints. There was hardly any meat in the entree. It was all onions and carrots and quite frankly looked like we were given left over scraps. I called to complain and at first they seemed understanding. The gal had to call the owner to get approval for a credit of sorts. I was ok with this. At this point I thought it was just a fluke but still felt there needed to be some sort of compensation. Shortly after I received a call from the restraunt that I needed to bring the food back to get any sort of compensation. I let the lady nicely know that I just stopped on the way home and it's another half hour round trip at least back. They refused to make it right. read more

I ordered three egg rolls and a large beef lo mien. I got home and started eating an egg roll and found the egg roll consisted of a shell and a leaf of cabbage the end. The other two egg rolls were the same nothing in them. I went to eat the lo mien and found it so salty that after the second bite I threw it out, thanks for nothing! When will somebody look into these terrible restaurants that people pay good money to eat their food and shut them down.
