Special combo W. Sweet and Sour Chicken, Cream Cheese Puffs, Fried Rice Combo

You can't go wrong with the sweet and sour chicken combo. I also enjoy pairing it with some type of lo mein, which usually comes with white rice. It's enough food for 2-3 meals.

my go to Chinese cuisine! I drive 30+ minutes one way just for Tak Shing (and I know I'm not the only one who does this)! Their egg rolls are large and super delicious! Always order at least one with your order. I usually go with the orange chicken, always a delicious meal! Staff is so friendly and customer service is great!

Loved the dumplings and sweet and sour chicken. They were delicious and both had nice portions. I didn't love the beef and broccoli. It had mushrooms and I don't love mushrooms. It tasted off to me, but that could be a me thing. The service was fast too.

If you are looking for the best Chinese restaurant in the Twin Cities, this is not it. (My personal favorite is Lucky China in St Paul.). If you are looking for a good takeout place near 35 and 50 & 5, this is it. I've ordered from here twice. The food is good enough. The first time I ordered, I got Kung Po Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan (mild for the young ones). Both were good, and we (husband and I) were surprised at the cashews in the Kung Po. The second time I ordered was for Mongolian Beef and Chicken with Chinese Vegetable. My husband thought the Chicken tasted nice, I thought both were a little lackluster.

Great family dining with prices easy on the pocketbook. We always get the letter combination meals, try a W.

If you want Americanized Chinese, you should go to one of the many Panda Express or Leeann Chins. But for a quick and convenient Chinese take-out option south of the river that is almost always open; check out Eddie Chengs in Lakeville! I've had some of the other few around here: Tak Shing, Lakeville Chinese, Egg Roll King (AV), Golden Wok, etc. At the end of the day, I gravitate toward Eddie Chengs (Lakeville) due to its quality, consistency, and price. The people that runs it is an added bonus! I've been here over a decade now and the family that runs the restaurant has always been welcoming and helpful. Seen their kids grown up over the years as well. While many businesses along that strip mall has come and gone over the years (RIP Cherry Berry); Eddie Chengs has been a cornerstone there and have continued to serve delicious eats over the years! Check it out if you're ever craving Chinese take-out and want a cheap and reliable option to making dinner!

All the Malaysian dishes that we ordered were flavorful and authentic. They also served complimentary fruit at the end of the meal which was a pleasant surprise. Prices for bakery items are slightly expensive for the size ($3.50), but I'll pay just to have easy access to it as there aren't any traditional Asian bakeries nearby.

Everything was fresh and flavorful. The sesame chicken was amazing, easily the standout, and the chicken quality across all dishes was excellent with generous portions. The Singapore chow fun was delicious and packed with flavor, and the extra protein/veggies was well worth it. The staff was incredibly friendly and even mentioned that if there were any issues with the order, I could call back and they'd make it right. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Online ordering was easy and seamless. The inside is small with only a few tables, but they clearly do takeout very well. Quick service, great food, and genuinely kind staff. We'll definitely be ordering again.

You pay when you first arrive with cash or card (they only take visa and mastercard). Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

The restaurant is located in a strip mall, and most of the businesses in that strip mall have signs posted saying "No buffet parking," which limits the available spots unless you don't mind walking a short distance. We got there just before the dinner rush and managed to find a few open spaces. Inside, the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We went up to the front counter, told the gentleman how many were in our party, and paid for our meals. One thing that stood out was the tip process, when you choose to leave a tip during payment, they hand it to you in cash so you can personally give it to your server. I thought that was a really nice touch from Dragon Star. The buffet itself had an impressive variety of options, including a Hibachi station. What caught my attention about the Hibachi was how the two cooks used a round grill and long sticks to prepare the food, it was entertaining to watch and they made sure the food went neatly into each customers bowls. However, one thing I didn't like was that the pork and chicken were placed too close together and were touching, which isn't ideal for those of us who don't eat pork. On the plus side, the cooks kept the grill spotless between uses, which was great to see. They also offered plenty of desserts and had a ton of seating. Despite the limited parking, the buffet is reasonably priced, has a good selection of sushi, and offers a great dining experience overall. My wife and I definitely plan to return, next time we'll try to go before 4 p.m., since things get pretty hectic around 5, but that's to be expected with all the good things Dragon Star has to offer.
