Eddie V's is one of our favorite date night locations. Their food quality is consistent and of high quality. Both the hubs and I are creatures of habit. We normally order the same appetizers, meals and dessert, if we make it to that point. His: Main lobster bisque and salmon with spinach Hers: burrata and beet salad & Chilean seabass. The seabass was super moist inside and sear around the edges...perfect combination. We share the au gratin scalloped potatoes. One of our favorite items is the sourdough bread with the crispy crust slathered with butter. Everything is better with butter on it. Of course, I only eat the bread's crust not the soft part. It always comes hot out of the oven...so good. Service was superb! Our server, John, greeted us as we sat down and he kept checking on us throughout the night. There was another server refilling our water glasses or glasses of champagne. Another server was removing dishes and scraping any crumbs from the table. We left totally satisfied with our food and exceptional service.

My amazing friends treated me to a wonderful birthday dinner last Friday at Eddie V's. I think the last time I was there my kid's treated me to a Mother's Day meal. :-) As usual, the food and drinks were awesome and the experience was made even more special by our fabulous server, Tyresa Stephens! She was very attentive, flexible, and gave us wonderful ideas/suggestions. I shared a scallop entree with one of my friends and had a cup of their yummy lobster bisque. In fact, I think we all shared entrees amongst us since there were 6 of us and we added several sides and appetizers that we also shared: Calamari, asparagus, and brussels. The other gals shared the shrimp & steak entree. Tyresa brought us 2 birthday treats to share. Yum! The cocktails were beautifully presented from my espresso martini to the others (photo included of all of them in this review but I don't remember all the names of them). One of my friends even got us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to celebrate another turn around the sun with a special group of friends and also to have been taken care of by Tyresa! I look forward to my next visit and will definitely ask for her by name!

Enjoy coming here for happy hour. Service is friendly and great. The venue has a slightly dim, typical steakhouse vibe, but windows overlooking the greenbelt add a nice touch. Food options pair perfectly with the drinks!

We love the ambience and service at Eddie V's. Our server, Ava, was fantastic. She recommended a perfect Napa Valley Cab that we thoroughly enjoyed. Ava also suggested a slight alteration for our meals that worked out brilliantly. We also met David who helped serve throughout the night and he was very friendly and charming. Ava surprised us with an excellent dessert and she was so kind and attentive all evening. We really enjoyed our visit at this beautiful venue and the customer service was outstanding. Thank you all for a lovely outing...

Wonderful atmosphere--quiet and intimate. The steak and sides are always perfectly cooked, and even when the service wasn't as quick (personally, I felt like it was fine) the server acknowledged that it was on the way. The presentation of the drinks had the right amount of detail. The highlight was the message they wrote at the end, which we enjoyed along with their banana foster dessert.

This eddie v's in Austin is truly one of the best ones around. The service is perfect. You truly feel like an appreciated customer. I love coming here for the seafood. The crab cakes are to die for. This time we decided to go big and got the seafood tour. Heads up, this will feed at least 4 people. We also ordered the African lobster tails... let's just say fresh and filling! Lastly, this place is always clean and well kept. Eddie V's is the place I recommend for a date night or celebration because everything on the menu is delicious and the ambiance is great!

Still one of our favs in ATX ... they now have happy hour seven days a week! Special pricing on oysters, bar appetizers, speciality cocktails, etc. service is consistently outstanding! This visit cocktails were delicious and the oysters plump and juicy. We also enjoyed a crab cake and beef tenderloin bites. Yum! The highlight was nana's foster flambéed on the table. Great dessert! Still highly recommend Eddie V's!

We've been to Eddie Vs on many occasions and it is always outstanding. Today, my wife and I got our motorcycle licenses after a grueling two days of learning. So a celebration was in order. In this visit we spared no expense. Had the shrimp cocktail, caviar, filet with lobster tails, wagyu strip with lobster tails, a 24 Karat cocktail and a smoked Old Fashion, plus the incredible crab fried rice. To end they made us a special desert and set it on fire, along with our crème brûlée. With tip, $525. Our server Farzan (spelling...sorry) was incredible. The pinnacle of attention and caring. It's quiet in general even when busy as it is a date or business dealing kind of place. An occasional large party may raise the volume. However it's always respectable. And for this visit, the wagyu and caviar were some of the best I have ever had. The caviar melted in your mouth and the warm blinis were amazing. The horseradish and Parmesan encrusted steak (cooked medium well...sorry) is literally the best steak I have ever had. I'm very serious. I've eaten at a lot of fancy places and all the way to Texas Roadhouse. This was the BEST steak. Juicy, tender, and everything you would expect from wagyu. But this one? Superb. While we may not always spend this much at this establishment, it was well deserved.

I wish I could give this place more stars! What a great experience from beginning to end! It was my birthday, and told them when made the reservation. They had a card and confetti already on table when we arrived. We were greeted by our waiter Fazan right away and was sooo pleasant and fun! We joked about having my birthday so close to Christmas. My husband was cracking jokes the entire time and Fazan thru it right back! I knew before we came what we wanted, but Fazan told us of the specials, which I might have gotten any other time, but for my birthday, I was set. We started with the seafood tower (*not really a tower for two people). But, came with 6 oysters, 6 shrimp, and a lobster (claws were hard to crack, and don't think anybody eats the head stuff..LOL), and the tail was split into two parts. It came with cocktail sauce, horseradish, some type of cream sauce, but the best was this lemon garlic sauce (*put that on everything)!! Then, for the main course, my husband wanted the 20 oz ribeye. That thing was HUGE! (he took half of it home). I got the filet and lobster tail with a butter sauce on the side. Both of the steaks were cooked to perfection, and sooo tender! I wanted the spinach cream side, but did not see it on the menu, but Fazan said we could still order it. So, we had that and the truffle mac and cheese (needed more truffle...LOL). Both of us had the "Smoked Old Fashioned" for drinks, which they bring table side and show the smoke, put the ice in the glass, pour the whiskey, add the orange slice, and add the bourbon cherry and stir! Great presentation by Fazan again! But the best part was the dessert! My husband wanted the Meyer Lemon tart (which was the only thing that was just ok). But, my Bananas Foster with butter pecan ice cream was soo good! And, they brought table side and "Flambe'd" it ! Again, presentation was excellent! Thank you Fazan for a GREAT dinner! We WILL be back!

One of the best steak experiences we have had! Thanks to our server Tyresa for making this experience man outstanding one! While in Austin, we had planned dinner at a nice restaurant however had to find another restaurant due to having a reservation early on! Eddie v's experience was so worth the visit! Before we got seated, they put extra heart decoration on the table and the girls got fliers since it was Valentine's Day! Stayed with drinks and the spicy margarita was so good! My husband likes old fashioned and I usually think it's too strong but this was amazing! The presentation was top notch! Appetizers/ sharing plates we had the siracha honey Brussels sprouts! Wow! Must have and try! 100/10!! Truffled Mac and cheese!! Also must try! The third one was the butter crab mashed potato which was good but I could skip and get the other two we got again instead Then comes dinner!! So amazing! Fillet mignon so good juicy and tender! My husband got his New York steak which was also amazing! Dessert we had the banana frosting which was delicious!! " We are absolutely retuning here in the near future! Thank you for the amazing night Tyresa! You rock!

Eddie V's is great at steaks and seafood whether you're in Austin or Houston. The service is amazing as always. I had the scallops and someone else got the rib eye. It'd always a great visit to Eddie V's.

    Check, please.

This was my first time eating at Eddie V's and based on this visit I probably would not eat there again. Long story short, I ordered a Medium-Well ribeye and when I got home the steak was Rare. Of course you should never microwave a steak, but I had to finish cooking it in the microwave. And despite doing so I would have to say it was far from being the best steak I've ever had and not worth the $75 price tag. Overall the entire experience was a disappointment.

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between chic sophistication and laid-back fun, with clean architectural lines, modern décor, and dim lighting that creates an inviting ambiance. During our visit, we learned that the longtime bartender had recently moved on and been replaced by Sydney, who was absolutely delightful. When she discovered we were celebrating my friend's birthday, she rallied everyone at the bar and throughout the lounge area to sing "Happy Birthday." The gesture was unexpected, heartfelt, and instantly made the evening feel special. As fate would have it, another guest was celebrating a birthday as well, so the entire group enthusiastically sang for her too. The bar clearly has a loyal following, as several regulars were gathered throughout the evening...a testament to the welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back. What could have been just another night out became a memorable birthday celebration thanks to the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches at W XYZ Bar. For that, I'm truly grateful.

My drink had cucumber syrup in it. I'm a sucker for cucumber so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I didn't care for this drink. It was so mint forward from the creme de mint that it over powered the drink. I felt like I was drinking mouthwash. My friend enjoyed her drink and said it tasted like a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie in a glass. Though I didn't care for my cocktail, it wouldn't stop me from returning to try a different drink. I'll be sure to avoid any cocktails with creme de mint in the future.
