Had a great experience last night celebrating my husband's birthday. Honestly the highlight was the service. A couple of us asked for recommendations and instead of rolling her eyes the server asked good questions and seemed genuinely interested, she really helped us narrow it down. We had the queso blanco, personally I think they should charge a dollar or two more and make the portion larger. We had just 4 people and ended up needing two orders, of course we didn't come close to finishing the second though. Hubby had combo fajitas they were really good. They don't come on a sizzling platter though so just fyi. We actually ordered our steak under cooked thinking they would continue to cook but they come on a regular plate so keep that in mind. I had the crab enchiladas, unwrapped out the rice for the corn and honestly the corn was all of our favorites. It was delicious! While I liked my crab enchiladas not sure if I would get them again. We ordered the churros for desert and they were a hit too. They are super flaky and light though not like traditional churros that I've ever had. My favorite part was the inside, I loved the ambiance! It was a little loud and the tables are a little close for my looking but I did love the look and feel. We will go back :). Won't be a regular but i would love to try some other things on the menu.

We had a little bit of a rough start with this restaurant because they are very strict about their 15-minute late policy. We were 3 minutes late, and unfortunately, they had already cancelled our reservation and given our table to another couple. I understand they have a policy, but I was a little disappointed because we were only a few minutes past the 15-minute mark. We went back on Sunday evening. This time, the restaurant was very busy, which made me understand a little more why they have to be strict with their reservations. That being said, the restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was really good, and it's definitely a nice place to enjoy dinner with family or friends. My husband ordered the enchiladas, and they brought him three different enchiladas with chicken. I had the fajitas de asada, and they were delicious. They also bring out chips with warm salsa, and the salsa was so good! We also ordered the watermelon fresca, which was so refreshing and perfect with dinner. Overall, even though our reservation experience was a little frustrating, we still had a great meal and enjoyed our evening. I would definitely come back and bring my family and friends. Next time, I'll definitely make sure we're there before the 15-minute mark!

Mexican Sugar!!! Where have you been all my life?! My bro decided to make us reservations for happy hour and I'm sure glad he did. We had a couple of appetizers including the chips, salsa and queso which were really good! (They serve their salsa warm) They make all of their salsas in house. Make sure to ask for the extra spicy versions as well. Pro-tip! The shrimp appetizer that my granddaughter ordered as her entree was in her words "out of this world!" The Paloma and machete margaritas were well priced for happy hour and delicious! It seemed like everyone was enjoying this beautiful restaurant. There were business meetings, happening all around, lunch dates, and even a baby shower for an expected mother. I'm coming back to this upscale Mexican restaurant for sure sooner than later.

Great spot in the heart of The Domain! The restaurant is top-notch with an upscale Mexican vibe. I loved the ambiance, lighting, décor, and beautiful finishes throughout. The long bar is a great touch, and the music created a fun Latin atmosphere without feeling overdone. I've been to the Dallas/Plano location, but this one feels much more modern since it's brand new. Our server (I wish I remembered his name) was excellent and gave us great recommendations. The drinks were delicious, and the food was flavorful. The only downside is parking. Since it's in the middle of The Domain, you may have to park in a garage and walk, though valet is available for $20. Shoutout to the hostess who was kind enough to seat us inside even though the table had a later reservation, and she let us know ahead of time when we'd need to leave. We really appreciated that since it was too hot to sit outside. Overall, great service, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

Ambiance: 5/5: Loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It had candles throughout the entire restaurant, the lighting was warm, the music wasn't super loud, plates and table decor were very cute, and they had throw pillows all around. Service: 5/5: Our waiter did an excellent job. Gave us a small rundown of what makes this restaurant different, made recommendations, and checked on our table often. Food: 4/5: loved that everything is made from scratch. The salsa and chips were pretty good. Salsa had a unique warm flavor. Chicken quesadilla is listed as an appetizer, but it's large enough to be an entree. Flavors were pretty good. The brasas chicken tacos were good as well, maybe a little on the dry side tho. Nothing really blew me out of the water, but excited to go try some of their other dishes. Drinks: 4/5: The drinks were pretty tasty and unique. My only con with them is that they were a bit too sweet to where we couldnt taste the alcohol. Overall, we had a great time and are excited to come back.

I stopped by for happy hour and, despite having a reservation, was a little disappointed that several walk-in guests were seated before me. Once I was seated on the patio, however, the experience quickly improved. Covered and closed off so no one walks in and out. Nice table setting and perfect spot to people watch. My server was fantastic--knowledgeable, attentive, and great at recommending both food and drinks. Following her suggestions, I ordered the ceviche and the vegetarian quesadilla. I initially planned to order an entrée as well, but the portions were surprisingly generous, and the appetizers alone left me completely satisfied. For drinks, I tried the margarita flight, which included hibiscus, classic, and spicy watermelon flavors. The spicy watermelon was easily my favorite, offering just the right balance of sweetness and heat. When a friend joined me later, I ordered the Chupa mango cocktail, which was another great choice. Parking was a bit hectic, but I got lucky and found a spot in the lot. The restaurant is located where the Ice Cream Museum used to be, across from True Food, making it fairly easy to find once you're in the area. I've heard great things about the enchiladas, so they're definitely on my list for my next visit. Between the excellent service, tasty food, and creative cocktails, I'll be back to try more of the menu.

Stopped in based off an expierence from an alternate location. Decor is trendy/modern with dim lighting. Plenty of large and small tables to accommodate a range of party sizes. Large patio outside. Drinks are good as was service. They were sold out of the civiche.-bummer. Veggie enchiladas were plain- enchilada sauces weren't great, and they seemed to be more tortilla then anything. Tortillas were also a bit thick for my liking. The Squash blossom quesadilla was great as we remembered from last time, full of flavor and fillings! The flan was also really great! perfect texture and nice carmel sauce ! Will be glad to try other options next time we stop in but hope it doesn't disappoint like the enchiladas.

Review #1,072 Posted on 6.11.26 We came here for dinner on Monday June 8th while in town for my buddies 50th birthday bash. This was actually our only opportunity for the whole group to dine together at a sit down dinner. This place is in a pretty big outdoor strip mall in Austin. The inside is really nice, and we got sat right away after arriving, which is always nice when you have a reservation. We got greeted, gave drink orders, then did the food orders. I thought the food, my meal was good. I had chicken & steak fajitas, the meat was tender, and the tortillas fresh. The chips and salsa with guac they brought out were also good. Margarita was tasty, and not too weak, tasted good. Would've like to see a few more options on the main course of the menu, but service & quality were both excellent and I'd easily come back here to eat.

Chips & Guac small but it was good

Great place, service was fine but the food we ordered Mesquite Ribeye Steak & Lobster Fajita took a long time so that didn't seat well with us but they tried to compensate with their good dessert, Quatro Leches not Tres lol. Drinks were good as well. The ambiance was nice, similar to all the other places that's affiliated to them like Whiskey Cake.

There are no shortages of Tex-Mex places here, so for a chain restaurant to stand out says a lot. First off, the restaurant is MASSIVE but also beautiful. Even the plates they use when they bring out the chips and salsa are stunning! My entire group loved everything we ordered. Some people got tacos, someone got the steak and lobster fajitas, I got the enchiladas. All amazing. The margaritas were also so good too! Everything was also reasonably priced. Our server was wonderful and very friendly. I definitely recommend this place!!

The decor of this restaurant is beautiful. Sat at the bar after a comedy show to grab a quick bite and drinks. Ordered a margarita. It was good. I also ordered the ceviche. I wasn't a fan of the fish they used. Bartenders were attentive.

My first time here and it was for my big birthday dinner. We had a party of 19. My friend made a reservation well in advance. Our server was super friendly and the team was very attentive. Are drinks were always filled and the food came out in good time. I really want to thank the crew for making this birthday dinner fun and smooth. Everyone had a good time, had good drinks and great food and mostly lots of laughs. I really enjoyed the arepas, great flavor! And the barbacoa tacos. I will say that the chips are really good but the house salsa is served warm so that was not the usual type of salsa you get at a restaurant. I do recommend the chocolate avocado cake, It was surprisingly delicious! I can't wait to go again and try more food on the menu. Thank you again for a great birthday dinner experience!

The interior is really pretty, I love the design of it! I'm definitely behind on the food scene because I did not know Mexican Sugar replaced the Museum of Ice Cream, which I really loved. So the space is also reallyyy big. We didn't have a reservation and got seated immediately. It looks like a fancy place, but you can also wear casual clothes. You get complimentary chips to start but they add a lot of salt. It was so salty and we didn't get to eat too much of this. The taco plates we got come with rice and refried beans. Honestly, I think the sides were better than the tacos. The tacos were just ok-there are better taco places in Austin. Service is also really slow. We were seated but didn't have a server until 5-10 minutes later? Could definitely be more efficient.

Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

The staff were amazing, the drinks were delicious, the band was awesome, and the snacks they provided were yummy...especially the fries! She and her friend had the area reserved from 5 to 7pm ish. The theme was jazz so folks were dressed up in sequins and shiny outfits. They provided snacks and two cocktails per guest by using golden tickets. Loved how there was a performance to making some of the drinks (got a video of one). We were informed ahead of time to make a reservation at 7:30 pm so we could sit in the main area and continue the celebration with more food, drink, and listen to jazz music by a very cool band. I am sure I will find myself at Foxtail again for a future event or just a quick hang out with friends.

The space itself is clean and stylish, featuring 12 Austin-inspired holes. The service from the staff is friendly and attentive. The mini-golf course is realistically doable, which is a plus because so many indoor mini-golf spots have gimmicky setups that are trash to play. The price is a little on the expensive side for 35 minutes of play, and like most mini-golf courses, it tends to get backloaded at each hole when it is busy. Just chill out, sip your drink, and take your time enjoying the round. If you are looking for a cool indoor activity in The Domain to beat the heat with upscale drinks and some casual competition, Dirdie Birdie is a super fun spot to check out.

It's connected to a variety of eating spots and shops and there's plenty of parking at nearby garages. We both opted to play mini golf and shared a hibiscus Paloma along the way. The staff were all quite attentive and helpful and our server was very prompt with giving us the menu and our drink! There are a few different holes you can try and some of the concepts were really interesting. One of my favorites was one where it shoots the golf ball up the wall and you watch it come down various ramps and musical instruments. This is a good spot for a date night or fun with friends and family. The mini golf area is smaller than some other mini golf spots I've visited in Houston but it was still a fun time. We finished the whole course in around 20-30 minutes and there wasn't a line. Seems to be a fun spot to visit on a weekend!

Wow! What an incredible experience at Sixty Vines in The Domain!…read more We made our reservation through OpenTable and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. When we arrived at our table, we were surprised with a handwritten Happy Anniversary postcard and a beautifully presented gift--such a thoughtful touch that immediately made the evening feel special. Our server, Polina, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to learn what styles of wine we enjoy and brought us a few samples before helping us choose an amazing wine flight. Her recommendations were spot-on! We also enjoyed a custom charcuterie board and the prosciutto & fig pizza, both of which were outstanding. To top it all off, Andrew, the manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We loved learning about Sixty Vines' unique wine-on-tap program and appreciated their commitment to sustainability, including composting food scraps. (They didn't have much to compost from our table--maybe a bite or two of pizza crust! ) The only disappointing part of the evening was that we had tickets to a show and couldn't stay longer to explore more of their incredible wine selection. That's just another reason we'll definitely be back!
