Eddies is definitely somewhere to try if you're visiting Warwick! My boyfriend and I have tried many times to get a table but it's always been packed (for a reason)! Today we got lucky and sat at the bar for lunch/dinner. To start we had the cauliflower and the jalapeño poppers - both really awesome. For our meals we split the Brie's Knees sandwich with chicken and the calamari tacos. Both were soooooo good. The Dijon on the sandwich made it a little spicy and the fries were cooked to perfection! The calamari tacos came 3 to an order and were honestly one of the most interesting things I've ever tried - they're tossed in a sweet/spicy Asian sauce and paired with red cabbage slaw. Definitely check out Eddies for some really delicious and creative eats! read more

Small place and was pretty crowded when we arrived. Let me say this, if you want to have a conversation at a table when they are busy, that is not happening. it gets real loud in there really quickly. They need something to soften the sound on the walls and or ceiling. Food was good, nothing over the top. The only thing we didn't care for was the Jerk wings. The jerk sauce is in a Caesar dressing mix which really masked the Jerk seasoning. Give it a shot and enjoy. read more

Eddie's Roadhouse has perhaps the most interesting, tasty food in the Warwick Valley. A varied and evolving menu, Eddie's has something for everyone and the beer menu is insane. My one caveat for Eddie's is they really ought to have an extensive Hard Cider menu, this being apple country after all! And with so many great hard ciders being made right here in the Hudson Valley it's kind of shame that Eddie's isn't leading the charge - their menu would be complimented by the addition of ciders. This place is really excellent and great after a long hike in the surrounding area. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and the place was already getting busy, but we managed to snag two seats. They have an excellent list of local and regional beers on tap, including some from Hill Farmstead. Where it counts though: the food was absolutely delicious. We had blackened salmon tacos for an app, and there were out of this world good. Really fresh and flavorful with a great spicy mayo sauce. For our entrees, the burgers were super good as well. Service was excellent and I would have loved to stay around and have a few more beers if I had the time. It's definitely a nice place to go and right in downtown Warwick. There's free parking nearby and you can check out the bookshop and candy shop nearby. read more

A great little hole in the wall food joint that serves plenty of craft beers and delicious food. Cocktails are great also. The Kentucky ginger is a must have for any bourbon lover. Food is good. Ordered the 26oz steak and although it was cooked great, the plate was simply too small. The steak was placed on top of mashed potato and the veggies (way too much peppers) were scattered all around making the plate look overloaded and awkward to use. Cannot deny that the lack of space is an issue. If there is no table or space at the bar, you are in the way of the waiters and it becomes awkward. A good little place where the food is enjoyable and the drinks are good but no reservations means it's luck of the draw for a table. The young bar staff are tremendous. read more

One word.. VERY yummy!!! Ok, that was two words, but you get the drift. :-) My wife and I received a gift card here for our wedding and boy, what a great restaurant. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and it's located in the historic district of Warwick, NY on Main Street, across from the Old Masonic Temple is this find. It's a very small restaurant / pub that has a great feel of intimacy and warm feeling. We ordered two pumpkin Ale's and Calamari for an appetizer.. You can order them with a choice of three different dipping sauces, (Fra Diavolo, Chipotle Aioli, or Buffalo Sauce), and we tried the Diavolo and Chipotle - both were bursting with flavor and each had a kick. You also get a nice helping of Calamari (and as you know, you sometimes get a very small amount). It also comes with breaded and fried hot banana peppers, which is a nice touch. My wife ordered the Salmon BLT and I the Cheesesteak (both with fries). Both were nice helpings, very large sandwiches and they didn't disappoint! The amount of Salmon in my wife's sammach was enough to feed a small army and my cheesesteak was chock-filled with steak (not steak-um's), gooey cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.. PERFECT Cheesesteak! All the food was incredible, very tasty, and cooked perfectly! So, 2 beers, an app, and two meals, $62.00... The ONLY thing that's keeping me from giving this a 5-Star is the price of the beers.. $8.00 for a draft is kinda steep IMHO, but this is a 4.5+ star establishment. Get there early because it fills up very quickly as there's 6/7 tables to eat at, but the bar is very large... and wait if you must, because the food is definitely worth the wait!! They use super fresh and local ingredients when possible and really take pride in being one of Warwick's gems. This place has been my go-to gastropub since they opened up a few years back. 16 taps with a diverse variety of craft beer on hand (this place is the sole reason I started using Untappd), and a broad menu with inventive and delicious specials. My favorite menu item by far (don't get me wrong, they've got the best burgers and steaks in town) are the detox wings. Hot wings cooked in a mango/habanero puree which will happily annihilate your senses. Food and drink prices are average for the area, atmosphere is very chill, but during lunch and dinner rushes, this place can and will get packed very fast. They've earned their place as one of the top, if not the top restaurant in Warwick, NY. read more

A group of five of us went to Warwick for a weekend wine tasting and popped into Eddies for dinner the first night. You know, when someone cares so passionately about something, it makes such a difference in your outlook- it's contagious. The kind, enthusiastic man behind the bar gave recommendations in food, wine, tap beers, and car services. About halfway through our first round, we realized he was Eddie, the owner, He know the other bar-goers by name and introduced me a couple in the wine business when we were chatting about where to go for wineries. He brought us 6 oysters on the house because the dozen we ordered were small and he was offended that they were even served to us in the first place. He chatted me up on local whiskeys and recommended two that knocked our groups socks off. I can say enough about the service- and the food was great! Do yourself a favor and starve yourself up until you arrive and then get the truffle fries- I ate almost the entire dish myself. The stuffed portobello mushroom and pulled pork nachos were both great as well. And the boys seemed to demolish whatever large delicacies they ordered (no one offered me any bites). It's a small town and I'm bummed this isn't in my city- I'd eat here all the time. Go see Eddie, and tip well... He earns it. read more

Great food. Great beer. Great prices. Eddie's was an awesome find on our way back from farm-land this past weekend. We grabbed two seats at the bar after about a 10 minute wait and proceeded to enjoy the rest of the afternoon here. Beers on tap, and there's only tap beer here, are awesome. Careful if you're driving as many are craft, high-alocohol-content brews. They had Greenport Harbor's seasonal brew which has a hint of spice and pumpkin...great stuff. The menu makes it hard to choose but we settled on: Steak Frites appetizer...Hugh fresh cut fries topped with tons of sliced steak (delicious and heavily marinated) and gorgonzola cheese sauce. Horrible for my health but amazing for my taste buds. Pulled BBQ chicken sandwich....Awesome chicken. Big portion and they substituted a salad for fries at my request. Score. Meatloaf...I only had a small bite, which was tasty. But I did try the twice-baked potato that came with it and it was off the hook. We couldn't come close to finishing this food. And those three dishes, plus two beers each, rang in at just under $70. A steal for what we got. If ever in this little town of Warwick again, we'll be sure to make a pitstop. read more

Stopped here on a whim and glad I did. We were able to be seated right away at the bar. They were on a minimized menu and sold out of some stuff but we were able to pick some stuff to eat. My husband had the cheesesteak which was tasty and I had the steak frites also tasty only complain was maybe it could use more steak but flavor was good. stopped by here today after apple picking and reading some rave reviews. I must say, I was fairly disappointed. they sat us in a corner table and basically forgot about us. took the waitress longer than usual to come over and take our orders. everything that we ordered came out wrong. I asked for my sandwich to come without coleslaw on it, and it came WITH coleslaw. my friend ordered a burger with onions (an extra $1) they brought the burger out without onions , yet decided to charger her the extra $1 anyway the food was pretty good. waitress never even came around again to ask how everything was. we had to stand up and go to the bar just to get our check so we could leave . I explained to the manager that the service was sub par at best , and the manager was far from apologetic. instead, she made an excuse that they had been very busy. unprofessional. just apologize and perhaps offer up a drink or dessert. Warwick is a cute town with lots of different restaurants all within walking distance. I would skip this place and venture somewhere else. very sad that they don't seem to care about their customers . Great little bar \ resto right on Main St. in Warwick. RIght next to Taco Hombre In the spot that used to be Garden of Gifts. This was my second time visiting Eddie's. My first trip didn't go so well (super under cooked burger) but i was impressed enough with everything else to give them a second shot. Boy am I glad I did. Was in Warwick this week and looking for a place to have a beer and have a decent meal. Eddie's did not disappoint. Nothing but excellent craft beer on Tap, Chimay is a permanent entry on the tap list and the other 7 draft beers are all top notch as well. I started with a Speakeasy Vendetta IPA, a well above avg. pale ale. Moved onto a White lightning which I would rate as the beer on tap most likely to be consumed by a non-craft beer drinking douche. In between beer number 2 and 3 I ordered the Steak Frites off the Starters section of the menu, then I moved on to order a Wookey Jack, which is FIrestone Walkers Black IPA (beer style du jour 2012). Steak Frites came out and tasted twice as good as it looked. I'll be back just for this meal. One of the owners came over and introduced himself and we chatted a little bit about beer. The beer selection is incredible and we are always blown away by the food. He is always supporting local farms to make his fabulous creations. Can not say enough great things about Eddies Roadhouse! Our visit there was actually back in October but, I am months later, still wanting to write a review because we had such a fantastic experience. We went for my boyfriends 21st birthday, and could not have had a better experience to celebrate! The bartender (who actually was the owner but we did not know it) welcomed us right away offering us beer suggestions and wishing my boyfriend a happy birthday. He even gave him his first "legal" beer on the house!!! He went over menu items with us and everything on the menu looked unique, fresh, and drool worthy! I had the chicken sandwich with corn elote, pickled radish and some tasty aioli on there. It was so perfect and delicious. The Buffalo cauliflower was excellent, nice and crispy. Overall, good atmosphere, great food, EXCELLENT service. They really made us feel special and welcome. Thank you!!! Found this place on Yelp when I was looking for a place to eat before heading to the drive-in movie theater. It's located in the middle of a cute little downtown area. The restaurant itself is small, but has a very local & inviting feel to it. They only serve microbreweries on tap which I loved. My boyfriend had the Lefthand Milk Stout. A worker (owner?) was sitting at the bar, eating, and when she overheard us saying we liked Guinness, she recommended the Flying Dog Kujo which was excellent (if you like dark beer with a coffee flavor). Appetizer: Clams with chorizo in a lemon lime Thai chili sauce: clams were cooked well, and the sauce was very good! The garlic bread that they put in it was soaked in the sauce & when you took a bite - yum! Entrees: 1) On the Flat Trio (hummus, eggplant, and olive tapenade with veggies): Overall wasn't bad, but not the best. 2) BBQ Pulled Chicken (Served in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce & topped with a homemade coleslaw): Definitely recommend getting this sandwich! I think their menu items are a little on the pricier side, but the service is wonderful & the atmosphere is great so if I lived around here, I would come back. read more

My wife and I recently visited Eddie's for the first time. It is a welcome addition to the Warwick area and we hope to return again soon. We stopped in for a few beers in the late afternoon on a Saturday, the place was quiet but started to fill up as dinnertime grew near. There is a long comfortable bar and great big windows that open to the main street, it was a good spot to refresh on a hot summer day. I don't recall there being televisions, this definitely did not have a sports-bar vibe. We were VERY excited about the selection of craft brews on draft, which were the highlight of our visit and a primary focus of the bar. They have eight taps, seven of which roate regularly (the only permanent is Chimay triple). There was a good spectrum of offerings, from NY (Captain Lawrence), west coast (Green Flash IPA, Left Hand Milk Stout) and other mainstream regional craft selections (Dogfish Head, Long Trail, Sierra Nevada). Unfortunately there were limited bottle selections (there is no published list, though there were some random gems in the cooler). If you are looking for the usual macro-brews like Heineken, Bud Light etc, you won't find them here. There is a fully stocked bar. Bonus points for keeping the draft list updated on the website. We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. The bartenders were very friendly without being invasive, they offered samples of any beers we wanted to dry and made sure our waters were kept filled. The beer service was generally made in proper glassware for the beer style which was nice. Despite the fact that they took the beer seriously, the place was in no way snobbish about it, it was very laid back. We were informed that they regularly hold beer dinners accompanied by visits from various craft brew reps e.g. Sierra Nevada, Dogfish Head). We got the wings which were great, big serving size and very meaty. We have also tried the antipasto platter. The nenu options are somewhat limited unfortunately. It would be nice to see more inventive appetizers / bar food. As I mentioned, this is a great addition to the area and we will definitely be back. read more

Eddie's is excellent. The food is super tasty and the complexity should not be overlooked. The beer menu is excellent as is the service. The owner, Eddie, is a world class host who always greets and makes his guests feel right at home. They cater to the customer. For example, one night we ordered takeout and something we ordered was not in the bag. Eddie personally drove to our house and hand delivered it. This is one of those times when I wish Yelp offered half stars because Eddie's would be a 4.5. The only knock is that it can be a long wait (testament to success and takeout is super easy) and the list of specials and tap offerings are not updated online. read more

I had the pleasure of Dining at Eddie's Roadhouse when visiting family. I only wish that I lived closer to this restaurant. As we entered the front door and were greeted my the owner who immediately made accommodations to seat our party of five. The beer selection was presented to us and due to the overwhelming selection, they offered to brig us some samples to choose from. When it came time to order our meals, the selection was even more difficult. The server offered the specials as well to add to the already tough decision upon us. Two members of the party chose the Flat Iron Steak, Two others chose the ribs and finally the last chose the vegetarian wrap. First the salads came. The the dressings all were alive with favor and you can tell that they were all made fresh with fresh ingredients. The Raspberry vinaigrette was outstanding. The Balsamic Vinaigrette was also pretty amazing. When the main dishes arrived, the portions were overwhelming. The Flat Iron Steak was so tender a knife was not even needed. The Chimichurri sauce was perhaps the best accompaniment for that seasonings on that steak. You can tell that they steak was marinated to perfection and the vegetable were fresh. The Sweet Potato was cooked to perfection and the stuffed mushrooms were very tasty. The Bake Blue Potato was also very good, as I was told. The Ribs fell off the bone and the explosion of flavor was amazing. The Vegetarian wrap was fantastic and plentiful. All in all the meal was awesome. The atmosphere was terrific, the service was friendly and top notch, but the food put it over the top for us. I just wish I lived closer to Warwick NY so that I can patronize this establishment more often. Too loud and food order didn't get placed. Sat at bar with two friends during weekend lunch rush. Placed order for appetizer and entrees. Waited 45 minutes without so much as the waitstaff checking on us. Asked them to check on the food order, saw them go into the kitchen, say something to the cooks, then whisper something to the bartender that took our order initially. Obviously order didn't get placed, but they weren't honest enough to tell the truth, nor sincerely apologize. Not coming back for lukewarm food and poor service. read more

Yesterday, my friends and I took a trip out to Woodbury commons; it was my first time. After a long day of shopping, and being extremely hungry, we decided last minute, to eat at this place called "Eddie's Roahhouse Grille." (Now, I'm gluten free, and usually find it's very difficult to eat at grille's. Amongst my friends, were vegetarians and vegans, which can also be difficult...so we weren't sure what to expect.) Eddie's was able to suit everyone's dietary needs! The menu had so many choices for us to chose from, it was hard to decide which one we should eat. We were very impressed and satisfied with our meals! I went with the parmesan, truffle oil French fries, and the southwestern turkey burger. Soooo delicious!! When I think of Roadhouse, I'm reminded of the late 1980's movie starring Patrick Swayze & Kelly Lynch. Anyway, Eddie's Roadhouse is nothing like that large honky-tonk. Rather, Eddie's Roadhouse on Main Street in Warwick is a small place that features microbrews. And I like microbrews almost as much as Kelly Lynch. I was visiting Warwick (and my buddy really isn't into good beer - go figure), so I only had time on this trip for a classic Dogfish Head IPA. The microbrew menu also has organic beers, gluten-free beer and some very potent ones too. In addition to the everyday menu, Eddie's often hosts special events that showcase beer. I may have to go by myself the next time I'm in Warwick. They also serve food at Eddie's which, by and large, is the typical 'pub grub' with an upscale twist. I had the very tasty BBQ Pulled Chicken - it was a bit saucy, but I still enjoyed the sandwich. My buddy had a Hamburger and I could not help but notice one of my pet peeves - the burger was too small for the bun. I know many places use this trick to entice you to put more stuff on your burger, but at $1 for each extra, this just made it seem even more wrong. The third person at our table had what she described as an excellent Vegetable Wrap made with produce from local purveyors. If you are going for the beer, you can also find comfort eating some food. Finally, I have another pet peeve - mediocre French Fries. Eddie's starts with hand-cut potatoes that arrive looking wonderful. Unfortunately, they were limp. You either have to cook the potatoes in two temperature oils to get them crunchy (like the French & Belgium do) or you just have to use peanut oil (like Five Guys). By using fresh potato instead of frozen, I can get past a limp fry after thinking about Kelly Lynch and the great beer. Found this place via Yelp, after biking, and looking for a place to have a beer and bite. Very chill, great staff from hostess to bartender. Sampled some craft drafts, and the food was good (interesting stuff burger options), and the wings pretty decent (being from Buffalo). We did have one drawback when neither of our food orders hadn't come out for 40 minutes or so, while we watched others come, eat and go. Bartender did apologize for the delay, and quite kindly and rightly made up for the delay. We would definitely return! Comfy little town on a late October day. read more
