The best I've been to in a long time! My wife and I went here at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Eddie himself greated us at the door. There was a wait and my wife and I were hesitent to wait, but hey.... it's 8:30 on a Saturday... our bad for waiting so long to go out. The bar was standing room only. Eddie even said that he would take down my number and call us when a table opened up if we left to grab a drink elsewhere! I was so impressed! We stayed and stood by the bar. It's such a warm friendly atmosphere and the staff is so nice. We eventually got a seat at the bar and decided to eat there. We started with the cream of swiss and (some name for cajun that I can't pronounce or remember) sausage soup. So good!! Next, my wife ordered the Bad Ass Burger and I got the BBQ Pulled Chicken. The burger came out right but as the bar tender was putting the chicken down he noticed the coleslaw was on the sandwhich and not on the side as I had requested. He sent it back and they made me a new one very quickly. I was impressed he caught the mistake right away. My wife and I split both our sandwhiches in half and shared. Both sandwhiches were excellent. My wife and I both argued that our sandwhich was better. I do have to say that I hate blue cheese, but I sampled the burger anyway... it's so good! I really do like the food here and the Look. Unfortunately I had a recent bad experience and I won't be coming back. I went with a friend one Saturday around 2pm. It was slow there which I liked. The bar had about 2 other couples and a single guy. The bartender was not friendly and messed up my food order, which was beyond simple! She never came to check up on how the food was. We had to keep asking for refills. She was very busy chatting it up with one of the couples. It really frustrates me when a restaurant is slow and the service is bad. I Won't come back. read more

What an extraordinary experience! Stopped in for some beers and were blown away by their lists - both draught and bottled. Then we got hungry and ordered food - risotto and steak frites. While we were waiting a drama unfolded at the 8 top next to us. One woman seemed to be at the center of the drama, and from our eavesdropping we determined it was her birthday. She was arguing and crying, directed at her presumed boyfriend and others. At one point i made eye contact with one of her girlfriends. I smiled, and she kinda rolled her eyes. Then drama queen stomped out, boyfriend followed, and the rest of her party got up and went to the bar. Our check came and we paid...and then...a manager approached us and asked if we knew anything about the table next to us. We told him the little we knew, and he mentioned that the aforementioned party had indicated that they were planning to make a scene, and implicate us. This was quite amusing, and we all had a laugh. Next thing we knew, Eddie's Roadhouse comped our entire bill. This didn't seem necessary, but we didn't argue and left a generous tip. Eddies is a great place to go for beer and cocktails and for the most part, the food is good. There is a but here. First time in going there ordered a beef dish ( I like my meat cooked ) I was abruptly told by the waitress she would try but the food comes out as it comes out, normally medium rare. It was ok more done than rare. Second time was the problem, ordered chicken. I had to send it back as it wasnt done and when I finally couldn't eat it because after sending it back, still wasnt cooked thru, I was told by the waiter that in cooking it thru, it lost its juices. My recomendation, stick with the burgers and appetizers. Dont order the chicken. read more

Brought a large group to Eddie's to celebrate a birthday of a senior family member that has spent her whole life in NYC and wanted a rustic experience. Being local, we gave it a try after checking it out on YELP. THE VERY GOOD: Our waitress was Top Notch, catering, pleasant, efficient, professional- I would hire her in a minute. ALSO GOOD: the beer. Good variety, cold and delicious. THE BAD: Despite the web photos, the place has no atmosphere and no life. It's small, sterile, and bland, as was the food. Which brings us to the ALSO BAD: Nice menu, poor execution. All I kept thinking is I wish my wife had made dinner for us instead. It would have cost a whole lot less, and tasted a whole lot better! BOTTOM LINE: The place has great potential, but its gonna take a more assertive owner (I think he was standing around texting), and a top of the line chef in the kitchen. read more

Eclectic American style menu with comfort food done right. These aren't your typical bar fare burgers and wings, these are made with care by people who are passionate about food. The owner Eddie, who is usually busy tending bar or even working the kitchen, takes the time to give a smile and friendly welcome to anyone who enters his restaurant. Real stand-up dude. Don't miss the garlic Parmesan truffle fries, the stix burger, or most importantly the Jerk Ceasar wings... My mouth is watering just thinking about them. This was my second visit to Eddies.. The first time here everything was great, the food and service was exceptional. Exactly how you would want a restaurant to be. Tonight however was a different story. To start, the waitress forgot my drink 3 times after bringing my boyfriend his beer and walked past our table numerous times with waters in her hand for other tables. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with balsamic dressing, the waitress repeated back to me my order twice before leaving the table. However, when I received the sandwich it came with basil pesto. When I told the waitress this, she proceeded to argue with me about what I had ordered and gave me a hard time about getting a new sandwich. I decided just to eat the sandwich as it was, and after my first bite discovered the chicken was very rubbery. I opted not to tell the waitress because of how rude she had been previously and ate the bread off the sandwich instead. To top it off, we were not the only table who had problems. The table next to us received the wrong food and a woman at the bar sent back her oysters because they tasted rotten. I am very disappointed in my experience here as I loved this restaurant the first time, unfortunately I do not see myself returning to Eddie's any time soon. read more

I ordered the Jerk Caesar wings that I read good things about on Yelp and they didn't disappoint. The seasoning was interesting, the dipping sauce was well-matched and between the wings and the included celery/carrots the volume was generous to the point that I needed to stop eating them to save space for the entrée. The entrée was the Stix Burger, also recommended by Yelpers. The burger had a thickness that ma used to make and Eddie's cooked it so that the interior was prepared as ordered but the exterior wasn't burnt, not easy to do with a burger that thick. The bacon, pepper jack, potato stix and chipotle aioli dressing were nice accompaniments. (The woman sitting next to me, a vegetarian, still mentioned just how appetizing that burger looked to her.) The craft beer selection was varied and creative. Please note that if you're visiting for the first time and are planning on going with a large group then keep in mind that Eddie's isn't very large, and it seems to get busy at lunch, so you may want to call ahead. This isn't in any way a negative, rather just a heads-up. This is absolutely a place worth visiting, though there is a "but" here. That would be the bartender who worked late lunch yesterday, 4/4; I'll call him "J". His curt acknowledgements (if any were given to my very few questions or requests) through nods, grunts and cheesy, dismissive thumbs-ups with his head turned away grew steadily more irksome over the course of the visit. J would also seemingly see my empty glass at intervals over an extended period of time, but each time would quickly get over whatever fleeting pang he felt to refill it (it never did get refilled) or ask how things were or ask if anything else was needed, and would then get back to making irrelevant small talk with other customers, putting away glasses or leaning coolly against the bar as he stared vacantly. The bar in my fraternity back in college had more polite and attentive bartenders, though they were pledges that may have been that way due to the specter of otherwise being required to eat a whole raw onion, do push-ups or much worse. But those pledges, regardless of motivation, represented their organization well, a lesson that J will hopefully eventually learn for his sake and Eddie's sake. It should be noted that the waitress who seated me, and a different guy who delivered the food, were polite, friendly and professional. read more

This is a unique bar that exceeded my expectations. So many of the menu options sounded delicious, we decided to split a few things. I've been here a bunch of times and it's really fallen off lately. The beer on tap is impossibly singular. I think 90 percent of the beers were IPA or a derivative of that. Major disappointment! We went to this area for a little day trip...it was the afternoon and we were walking around the area and happen to see many people outside this restaurant waiting to go in. so I thought wow..must be really good..checked some reviews and was looking forward to it. Well...it was NOT good! the place had no charm..not nice..just bare bones..nothing special. Waitress was nice..but our food came out cold. zucchini meatballs were the only thing we had that was good..it was baked and flavorful. the rest of the meal was tasteless..turkey burger had no flavor..we had guacamole on top and it was so plain..again no flavor..we had mushrooms and mushrooms had no flavor...I was wondering if the cook ran out of spices after he made the zucchini meatballs. Seriously, it was tasteless! I had stuffed mushrooms on the side..they give 2 mushrooms and they weren't good either. I really don't understand how this place had people waiting outside to go in..i guess there aren't many restaurants to choose from in this area. We will not be returning! read more

Today was my second visit, I talked it up to my family and it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The food was very good and cooked the way we ordered BUT the service was terrible. Our waiter did not write anything down and my husband called it MESSED UP THE ORDER. They forgot the appetizer, forgot to upgrade 2 orders to the truffle fries which was one of the reasons I brought them there. Did not ask how our food was and did not check for water refills. Probably my favorite place to eat in Warwick. The cozy pub atmosphere is almost deceptive because the food is many steps above you'd expect "pub food" to be. My husband is a bit of a burger connoisseur and he has declared Eddie's burgers hands down "the best". My favorite is the hangar steak -- tender and flavorful, served with an excellent chimichurri sauce. Even the beer is a step up, offering an ever-changing variety of craft brews.
