I would venture elsewhere for a more professional ticket service. Very overpriced and not consistent with market value.

We visited today and were lucky enough to catch a performance by the Taiko Project. Their performance honestly gave me chills! Love that they also talked about the history of taiko in Japan and US and they even had volunteers at the end of the show to try taiko drumming! There was also Kamishibai storytelling in the tea garden, which the kids really enjoyed. They also have Japanese Garden "I Spy" sheet for the kids to do and Clean Water Patrol activity book. This is def one of those low stress, high vibe activities that I highly recommend. Just a heads-up though, outside food and drinks aren't allowed inside, but water is ok. There are restrooms near the entrance as well as behind the tea garden. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. We had such a relaxing afternoon and are already looking forward to coming back for more events at this little oasis.

It feels peaceful, well cared for, and instantly calming the moment you walk in. There is a small $5 admission fee, which honestly feels completely worth it, especially because it clearly helps keep the grounds so clean, beautiful, and well maintained. I brought my parents here while they were visiting, and they absolutely loved it. If you're lucky enough to visit during the right season, you may even catch the cherry blossoms, which make the whole experience even more special. There is also plenty of parking on site, which makes visiting easy. One thing to keep in mind is that they are closed on Sundays. Also, if you have extra time, Sepulveda Basin Lake is nearby and worth checking out as well. A lovely, serene spot that feels like a hidden gem in the Valley.

My friend was in the hunt for a specific figurine - the staff was so helpful in answering questions and giving advice on the best time to see new items in the store. It is located in the old Pier 1 space, the place is big, well lit, a small museum of memorabilia, especially animation, a nice gallery and auction house. They have the catalogue on line as well. It is free to visit and there are several rooms to explore and browse, lots of cool items on display: posters, big props, toys, photos, animation sheets, press kits and so on. There are some non-animation film related items as well, from the James Bond series for example. They have an exhibit till the end of June and they also showcase other artists' work from the entertainment world. Nice staff, it is closed on Sunday. Lots of film history in here, if you are looking for some collectibles, artwork for your wall, some items are in the 200-300 range, some more as you can imagine. Nice visit, I'll stop by sometime to check out what is new here!

I've had good experiences at Laemmle's Encino theater and had many memories from their old Sunset and Fallbrook locations, but this was my first time at their North Hollywood theater. You can buy your tickets online or in-person inside. I'm not gonna lie - with everything automated nowadays, it's been a minute since I actually got to interact with theater employees at the box office! Speaking of which, they were all friendly and happy to assist the moviegoers. Since it's an independent theater, the crowd leans towards the older side (nothing wrong with that since they're more respectable). The interior of the theater is clean, the sound and image are great, they've got a nice selection of independent movies - if you're in NoHo, give Laemmle a shot! There's street parking and a parking garage off of Lankershim Blvd & Weddington St (theater provides validation).

Lots of dining choices from mom & pop shops to chains. Staff were all very nice. The experience was excellent! They accepted cash for all purchases!!! That's a big deal to me because I want to be given choices about how to pay. Theater was super clean and nice. Watched two movies- theater#1 was perfect seating, viewing and temperature of room was good. Theater #7, a smaller room, seating was not so great. I could have moved to another seat, but I didn't. The last row seat are too low and the seat in front blocked the subtitles. Otherwise great experience. Highly recommend the theater.

Did you know BINGO was invented by the Italians in the 16th century? It was called "Il Gioco del…read moreLotto" and a version of that is still played in Italy today! Eventually word of mouth made its way to France, where it was called "Le Lotto," a game of chance enjoyed by wealthy aristocrats, before catching on in Germany and then finally, to the the United States in the 1920's, when it was called "Beano" because dried beans were used to mark the winning numbers. BEANO became BINGO when a player accidentally yelled "Bingo!" instead of "Beano!" out of sheer excitement and the name was forever changed. A Catholic priest then had the grand idea to use Bingo as a means to help raise church funds during the Great Depression and the rest is history. America's beloved pastime's popularity started to wane in the 90's and 2000's but I'm glad to say Bingo is back, baby, and stronger than ever, judging from the crowds of young influencers and old sticklers alike that come to play this game. Bell-Jeff Bingo, which gathers every Tuesdays from 4pm is by far the best Bingo Hall in the vicinity. It is a clean, bright and calm space, with lots of parking right outside and the most interesting players (hustlers!?) and the nicest, most patient flash card runners/volunteers. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the food, such as burgers, tacos, and grilled cheese that you can order and eat while you're playing. The whole experience lends to a night of fun and relaxation, a truly wonderful social community event. All the players tell me it's not about the winning that's addictive when it comes to Bingo, oh no, no. It's the whole experience leading up to that win. It's the slow building of anticipation and manifestation, the prayers, laughter, comradery and then finally, the realization of the win. Everyone should experience this euphoric feeling of calling out "Bingo!" and winning $$$ because it is a feeling like no other. Come and experience for yourself because it is like nothing else. See you here.
