I been staying here for few months now, best thing I like is the peace and quiet. It also has very easy rental agreement and autopay which helps when we leave. You can fish just few steps away, and there is mail and a little store. It is a little out of the way, over the toll bridge, and the road is horrible getting there but there is maybe 2 or 3 cars/vans drive by all day, other than that is tranquil which is what I need as I do not sleep well with disturbance, hard to find this quiet at any other park. read more

Eddos is a special place, best place to fish and rv camp. First, Eric and Chris greeted us and then helped us back into the site. Said to come to the office after we settle in. The sites r spacious, all hookups, clean, and very quiet. Bring ur drinking water, Chris said the water is tested monthly and is safe, which is fine, just didn't like the taste so we just used our bottled water for drinking, no big deal. The levee road in is a small levee road, it's no big deal. One way is 5 miles, good levee narrow road. The other way is fine, bumpy parts of it, but just go slower, and it's wider and only 1 1/2 miles. Just depends on ur preference. This place is a great get away, not a lot of people coming and going on the levee road. The marina is across the small levee road, on a slough, easy to keep our canoe there and the fishing is awesome. Eric and Chris were great, helpful with everything and the fishing. My wife and I needed a place to stay for a few months in the Antioch area for work, and Eddo's was the cheapest in the area. They didn't take any of our information when we called to make a reservation which ended up being a good thing. The girls in the office who answer the phone were incredibly nice, but the guy at the RV park was anything but. To start, getting there from the south is incredibly tricky - you have to drive through Antioch/Brentwood, and half of the roads don't allow trucks (anything over 7 tons, which most RVs are). Once you figure out a way to get through the city, you have to cross a bridge to get to the island the RV park is located on. This would be no big deal except it is a toll bridge - $5 for autos, it cost us $20 with our truck and fifth wheel. There is no toll crossing back into Antioch. Next, turning off of the main road on the island to get to the RV park is a difficult. The turn is sharp, and the traffic is unforgiving. The road itself is a nightmare. It was barely wide enough for our trailer - God help us if we had met a car on that road. It is sitting on top of a dry dam, so there is no shoulder on either side for most of the road. The pavement looks like it has been through a few earthquakes with massive cracks, humps, and bumps. We drove the 2 miles on this road going about 10 miles per hour, and still everything in the camper was a mess when we finally stopped. Lastly, the RV park is tiny. All of the sites are back in, and they are nearly impossible to get into or out of with a trailer over 30 feet long. There are a lot of gorgeous trees in the area, but your camper will not fit under them if it is over 10 feet tall. We thought we were going to loose our A/C and vent covers trying to back in and pull out. If you have a small camper and are wanting a nice place to take a vacation and spend time on the river delta, this park would be perfectly fine. The surrounding area is really beautiful and peaceful and there was a herd bison near by, but if you have a large rig or need regular access to the city, I cannot recommend this place at all. Once we finally backed into a spot, we immediately left and found another park for our extended stay. read more

I'll start the review by saying if you're the type that wants a resort style park, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're like me, looking for a quiet place to call home for a while without the frills and fuss, you'll love Eddo's. Long term friendly, mostly residents so there is a great neighborhood atmosphere. Out of town enough to keep most of the riff raff out, although you will still want to lock your stuff because the occasional stranger will drive through. You never know. But, all the residents as well as the owner are watchful. The park is out on a levee road, which makes for the best riverside walks (our dog loved this park for this reason). We loved being right on the river and taking walks with waterfront views and the sounds of birds and cattle around. It's a very peaceful place. Beautiful grassy spots and huge shade trees. The delta breeze will keep you cool all summer. The park doesn't provide WiFi, but will refer you to a local who can set you up with good, secure service on a month to month basis. There is a small store with cold drinks and some snacks for those days when you don't want to go to town. You can also get a slip at the on site marina if you have a boat. They allow residents to receive mail, but sometimes it takes a day or two to make its way from the owners house to the office so keep that in mind if you're ordering anything time sensitive. The park can accommodate big rigs, but less confident drivers will want to be prepared to make some tight back in corners depending on which spot you're placed in. The last mile of the levee road to get there is roughly paved. Take it slow. Overall we loved this park and will call it home again next time work assignments bring us to the area. read more

This is an open letter in reply to the owners response: The owner of Eddo's feels like he does about our encounter. Nothing I can do is going to change that. I have a different opinion of the days events. I've been labeled before, doesn't affect me says more about him and his ability to control his temper. His ego was hurt, I get that. Of course, he decided before even meeting us face to face was that we we were Hippies trying to recreate Woodstock (I was 4 years old by the way and my two visiting guests weren't even born until 1984) and; that we weren't welcome in his establishment, period. We enjoy our seasonal recreational travel in our RV and are welcome by over 99% of the places we visit. We are always respectful, quiet, and keep a clean campsite. We are blessed to be able to travel across our great country in 'vintage' style. In re-purposing a classic vehicle we don't add to junkyard waste, our RV is well maintained, meets the standards set by the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) and is licensed and insured as an RV. Eddo's is licensed by a state, city or county to provide accommodations (RV space) to the general public and; while the owner retains the right to refuse service it must be done in accordance with the law. Eddo's and every other business must adhere to all California laws, codes and ordinances that apply to their line of business and the owner doesn't get to pick and choose which ones he must follow. The Eddo's website doesn't have any criteria of who is 'welcome' there and who is not but the owner seems to be proud of making discriminatory statements as shown in previous replies by the owner to other reviewers comments. The owner eludes to us not having a reservation. What he is failing to touch on is that it was his representatives failure to gather the requested information. It was offered and she declined; saying that she only needed our name, date of arrival, unit length, number in party and the length of our stay. I specifically offered to provide my credit card information twice. Lastly, the owner would have you believe that we were cited for trespassing. This is not factually correct and any view of the public record will show this to be the case. We did insist on having a peace officer present to protect our rights, or at minimum document the owners actions. I know he doesn't feel we had any but that is his opinion, not based in fact mind you, but we probably won't change his mind. The owner would rather you keep moving if you drive a vintage/conversion unit. Maybe you want to avoid the same experience we had and follow his advice, it's up to you. read more

We had called Edo several times and he reassured us that there would be a spot when we showed up. Well, we drove four hours and when we got there the manager claimed there was not a spot. We could see in the park that there were several openings. This is very unprofessional and put a lot of stress on us since now on a Tuesday evening we were again looking for a new RV spot. I would never recommend Eddos's to anyone. read more

Eddo's is a peaceful place and I enjoyed having my trailer there. They are upfront about the road condition and also upfront about a lack of amenities for small kids. We understand they aren't trying to remake the place into a crowded KOA with an overabundance of amenities or activities. If my living situation changes a little and I can go back to using my travel trailer for a two or three weekend a month escape from the traffic and hustle and bustle of the big city, Eddo's would be my first choice to park my small Nash travel trailer. I have met Dawn and a younger woman I assumed was her daughter but could be wrong. They are warm, low drama folks who have certainly put a lot of time and money sprucing up the place. The beauty is everywhere and in the eye of the beholder. During the winter the water foul are everywhere and beautiful. Literally entire fields can be covered in the beautiful white of snow geese. Pheasant run amuck during breeding season and there`s actually breeding bison on the island. If you can`t follow rules this is not the place for you. If you enjoy peace and quiet you will enjoy it. read more

If you want a cheap place to store your RV, then this is it. They offer outdoor storage only, for $50 a month. From San Francisco, it's an easy drive. It has taken us about an 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there (during non-commute hours). There's RV sites with full hook-ups for $35/nite. The rv sites are decent and the place is quiet. Only problem is it's so darn windy there - all the time. We couldn't enjoy sitting outside because of the wind. This place is good for boaters, with a marina and mini store. They also have propane service. The owner is a grump, but his wife Dawn and Kisha are nice to deal with. read more

I lived at Eddo's Harbor for a decade and the peace and tranquility are unbelievable. This park is probably best for the traveling worker or the fisherman with a boat. Families with children might find it somewhat boring. For the working person the park is quiet and safe. With a small store located on site. Complete peace of mind. For the fisherman it's to die for. Of course a boat is required to enjoy any real fishing. Launch ramp on site with immediate access to fast water. Of course there's also covered berths to use also. The fishing in this area is second to none. The wind's do blow often here but in the heat of summer it's a treat. 99% of the time it's 10 degrees cooler because of it. The park is located on a u shaped road with both ends starting off highway 160. The one end of the road is terrible but the other direction is typical levee road. I hope this review is helpful and explains some of the others. read more

We love it here! The owners are A+, every time I comeback to camp or drop my boat in the delta, there are always improvements that we notice being done by the owners. We love this little spot, it's quite, has hook ups, boat berths and your boat is safe from large wakes being made from passing boats due to the natural "breaker". Yes we have encountered a few rule issues in the past (my dog barking and bothering other residents, my son throwing rocks into the delta where its muddy, both issues I have corrected accordingly) I have never felt that they were by any means disrespectful or unreasonable in letting us know this was an issue. This is a privately owned harbor the owners have and continue to work hard at upgrading and maintaining it on there own. read more

My husband and I like the quiet and Eddo's is quiet this time of year. There is a $5 toll bridge just before turning off on a pretty rough road. There are boat slips to store your boat and a gas pump to fill up the tank. The space we parked in was level enough that the leveling jacks weren't needed. There's a small shop down by the boat docks that carries some groceries, soft drinks, and frozen bait. Some of the bathrooms have been remodeled and they're as nice as anything you'd find in a motel. I've been in places where the bathrooms are so bad that you're afraid that you will catch something or get bitten by some unknown bug, so these are a pleasure. read more

The owners have gone out of their way to be helpful. They wave every time I pull in. If you push the bell (during proper hours of course) they come instantly. They keep it clean and the grass mowed. This is a great place in the East Bay area. We have spent 8 months here while working in the area. The owners are wonderful and have provided a safe, quiet place to get away from the day in the city. Owner chooses not to comply with local and state laws regarding public services. Poorly maintained grounds, misleading advertisement as to services available and a shoddy operation in general. Bay area RV parks are known to be inhospitable to travelers, this one is no exception. read more

Don't show up with kids! Though not stated or signage to the fact, adult park only! My husband, my 8 yr old daughter and myself showed up to check out park! Were told rules: max. 2 people per site. That's ridiculous, I have a kid, not a wild animal! And when I asked for clarification we were treated like trash! Why doesn't Eddos just say NO KIDS! Or maybe it was our dirty old van.
