He became belligerent & words were exchanged with the result that he drove off with the order! The dispatcher had to be called and even then when he finally returned, the driver tried to spin what happened to make it sound like he wasn't at fault. If he had just apologized and accepted responsibility this review would not have been necessary, but the disabled customer on whose behalf I'm writing it was extremely upset and could not have made it to the door. Eddy's has the BEST Greek salad in Medford! I've had plenty of Greek salads from different places but Eddy's is by far the greatest. First of all, the portion is incredible and will not leave you hungry. You get plenty of lettuce, feta and veggies not to mention chicken which a lot of places tend to skimp out on. The grilled chicken is perfect....juicy and tender. The pita on the side is soft and large. The dressing is simply icing on the cake. MONDAY'S- BEAT THE CLOCK-4-8 p THE TIME YOU CALL IS THE PRICE YOU PAY. TUESDAY'S-ALL ROAST BEEF SANDWICHES ARE HALF OFF. WEDNESDAY'S - 1/2 PRICE ON ANY PASTA DINNERS. THURSDAY'S- BBQ BABY-BACK RIBS DINNER AND 2 SIDES FOR $12.99, THURSDAY'S, FRIDAY'S, SATURDAYS- FISH N CHIPS DINNER and some more specials. Eddy's has free delivery. To my surprise Eddy's Place was really good. In fact I liked their food so much I ordered from them 4 nights in a row. The first night I ordered Grilled Chicken Kabob. It came on a warm pita bread piled with nicely seasoned Grilled Chicken Breast , lettuce , chopped fresh tomatoes, onions, Feta, and Eddy's homemade House sauce ( not tzatziki) . I really enjoyed this chicken kabob sandwich ! The chicken was grilled perfectly and seasoned right. The sweetness from the onions and tomatoes and cold crisp lettuce really made this sandwich along with the feta cheese. . Eddy's homemade sauce just added another layer. For sides I ordered Steak Fries and Onion Rings. My fries were golden brown and my onion rings were crispy and fried perfectly. The second night I ordered Tossed Salad with Grilled Chicken. Romaine lettuce, Red Onions ,Carrots, Cucumbers, and Greek Olives , Green Peppers, and Tomatoes with a lite Italian dressing. Again, the grilled chicken was delicious and the tossed salad crisp The third night was 1/2 price Pasta Wednesday's. I ordered Chicken Parm Dinner which came with Ziti and Garlic Bread. It wasn't my Chicken Parm, but it wasn't bad. The fourth night I ordered their BBQ Baby-back ribs dinner. For my sides I ordered Mashed Potatoes, and Tossed Salad. My ribs fell off the bone, and they had a nice smoky flavor. The portions are generous. I couldn't believe they gave one entire black container of mashed potatoes just for me. My sister-in-law ordered the same as I did except one night she ordered the Grilled Pork Chops with sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Salad. My food was delivered right to my hotel room in a timely manner. I was quite surprised how quickly I received it. The delivery man I had 3 nights in a row was very courteous and nice. The 4th night I had a different delivery person and he too was very nice. Eddy's Place was very accommodating to my sister-in-laws special requests. She's allergic to many things and they never gave me a hard time. Eddy's has a large menu to choose from, so it makes ordering very easy. They are open 11a until 10p every day. They will deliver until 9:45p. Eddy's Place is family owned and operated. When I see local Medford cops eating here on an almost daily basis I'm usually going to think that the food is pretty top notch. I live literally across the street and can walk there in 20 seconds. With that being said, at the time of this writing, I have only 8 checki-ns when I should have 80. Here's why..... In-Con-Sis-Tent. Their fried seafood plates can rival Kelly's and are delicious while at a decent price point. Then there are other times I've ordered egg plant parm subs that are barely edible with weird questions on the phone asking if I want sauce and cheese on it (isn't that the definition of "parm"?). I think they need to stay away from anything Italian because it's just not done well. I understand they serve Greek pizza but I'm really particular when it comes to Greek style while rarely finding one I like, it's just too damn greasy. Eddy's pizza is no different and I haven't ordered it again after just trying it twice. Other standard Greek they excel at, the gyro is seasoned perfectly with decadent tzatziki in a tasty pita shell. The gyro wins 5 stars, hands down....and is what I think about ordering when I'm calling up Eddy's for a weeknight quick meal. Although I'm slowly learning my lesson and want to go back to it, I have been trying other items that don't cut it for me 75% of the time. It makes me wonder about the above mentioned police that eat here all the time, do they attempt to give special attention to their food and make it great every single time and say screw the rest of the customers? The decor is nice inside and I like that they usually have on a sporting event on the Tee-vee. There are ample tables for a sub shop of this size, I've seen places with no tables so that's a bonus. The counter help is anywhere from flighty to just downright rude. They've also messed up orders over the phone, including fries (which weren't even edible, steak fries should not be all mush) when we specifically said NO FRIES. They were included and likely even paid for, stupid of me to not look at the receipt upon pickup but it won't happen again, lesson learned. You always want to have a "neighborhood" go to place during snowstorms or those nights you feel too lazy to even put together a peanut butter sandwich. Deep inside of me, I want to love Eddy's but he is that friend who doesn't pick up your phone calls when you need him and plain just lets you down from time to time. Pick up your game Eddy's and you'd certainly have more repeat business. read more

I just moved in down the street, and it's great to have a quality pizza/sub shop nearby. In the half dozen times I've eaten at Eddy's, I've been impressed both with their large menu and the quality of their food. Better than your average greek pizza and sandwich place, Eddys also serves full dinners, pastas, soups, salads, and roast beef worthy of the Boston area. Dinners are served with salad and good steak fries. Chicken cutlets used in the subs are actually real--not the processed patties you would expect. Calzones have a nice thick buttery dough. You can't go wrong with the fresh salad with no chemicals to make the lettuce last. I really can't stand when restaurants do that. 1. If Grumpy Cat was a person, it would be the lady at the cash register. 2. Who the hell is Eddy? 3... Since they opened up in 2009, I just knew that this place was just going to suck. The only reason why I find myself here 2-3 times a year is because it's convenient to pick up. When they opened, they offered a free pizza (or something) to promote their business. I knew there and then that I would never order their greasy, pretzely pizza. But, I wanted to be fair and try the other menu items they offered. For the past couple of years, I've tried the cheeseburger, roast beef and fries. I didn't stray too far into any specials, fearing that I would be highly disappointed. Each time that I've ordered and picked up anything (a total of a ten times, maybe?) I've noticed in a low monotone-go-f-yourself esteem, Grumpy Lady at the counter has never managed to crack a smile. You come in, walk up to the counter to confirm the order, wait and sign your name on a white receipt, all the while you are unsure if she's having a bad day, or if she is just offended by your presence. There are only two days that you can come into the pizza/sub shop. That is, Grumpy Lady will give you deep sighs and eye rolling, or the days when Grumpy Lady is piercing and darting you with her eyes. What really confuses me is that every night (no exaggeration), I know the Medford cops sit in front of the restaurant for their dinner. I would respect if they get top treatment... but, it makes the rest of us feel like shit. Just saying. With last night's experience, I know that this is the final time that I'll ever go to Eddy's Place. I called ahead for pick up and the same lady answered as unhappy as can be. I asked for a Parm Sub for my fiance with a few extra ingredients. Incompetently, she asked if he would still want sauce and cheese. Well, no f'ing duh. What's a Parmesan sub without cheese and sauce?! I continued with my order of a regular roast beef sandwich with fixings, and asked about thin/shoestring french fries. Apparently they didn't have them, just steak fries. So, I confirmed, just the two items: roast beef and sub. No steak fries. I had my fiance pick it up, and came home with three items. WHY does this lady suck so much at life? I didn't want to deal with calling back and complaining. My fiance's sub was awful: gloopy and mushy. My sandwich did not have the honey mustard I requested. When my fiance picked it up, Grumpy Lady even confirmed honey mustard. And, of course the steak fries that I did not order were gross. Soggy, dark brown, and greasy. It was embarrassing. I got sick from my order and I'm still feeling queasy. That was more than 14 hours ago. It was a bad experience. I never want to go here. There's nothing redeeming about Eddie's Place at all. They're a shame to my neighborhood. read more

I was sad to see that Joe Pizza on Salem Street had closed because I absolutely loved it. Little did i know, something even better was coming my way. Eddy's! Everything I have ordered from there has been delicious. The buffalo chicken calzone was a perfect mix of cheese and chicken. The turkey sandwich was stacked with meat, lots of food for the your money. My favorite thing though, is the pizza. Greek pizza to the max! Absolutely delicious, and stays pretty well in the fridge for a morning snack! They have an awesome 2 pizza and a 2 liter deal for 13.99, and we get that often. overall, a great and inexpensive alternative to the chain pizza places. you won't be disappointed! read more

I've been to Eddy's place 3+ times so far. The first time I ordered from there I got a chicken salad sandwich and the buffalo fingers. I wasn't really a fan of either. The sandwich was pretty dry, with big chunks of chicken, and the buffalo fingers were drenched in sauce, but I must say the portions were quite big. However, my two friends got roast beef sandwiches. They said the sandwiches were good, but there could have been more roast beef in proportion to the rolls they were on. Second time I got a turkey club, which I enjoyed a lot. Good overall sandwich and I really liked the fries. My third experience was today. My roommate and I split a large buffalo chicken calzone and onion rings. I have been searching for a calzone as good as the one I grew up on, and I think this is as close to that as it gets. I loved the calzone and I loved the crunchy onion rings. The calzone was very filling, but that just means I have more for later. Lastly, every employee I've spoken to there, either by phone or in person, has been very friendly. Given how long I've lived in the area, I haven't been to Eddy's that many times, but I will certainly be returning. read more

I used to work down the street from eddy's, and still go there from time to time. The food is consistently good and cooked to order. The pizza is good and doughy too and they usually have slices ready on demand. Whats more is one 'slice' are actually 2 pieces of pizza. I always try to get the lady at the register to smile, but it's difficult. What i REALLY like about eddys (why i gave it 5 stars) is that on top of their friendliness, they offer daily 'specials' where roast beef and even pasta dishes are HALF PRICE. i've walked out of that place with a fully loaded roast beef for LESS THAN $3! We used to mount up and go there every tuesday for that exact reason. Not much seating, so around lunch time people tend to squat on tables, but it's more of a takeout place for me anyways. read more

I was very pleased with Eddy's Place...in the beginning! The pizza arrived hot and within a reasonable amount of time the first two times I ordered. This was not the case the next two times I called. The pizza would arrive anywhere from 60-90 minutes after I ordered. Obviously by this time the pizza was cold. I called Eddy's Place to let them know I was displeased. I told them I didn't want a new pizza (mainly because I didn't want to wait another 60-90 minutes). They called me back to tell me that my next order would be on the house. Great! That's customer service. Except it was all a lie. A couple of weeks later, I decided to take advantage of my free order. The woman on the phone, however, claimed that I called them on the previous Saturday and used my free order. Now, I wasn't even anywhere near Medford on that day as I was in central Massachusetts. I quickly canceled my order and hung up. The lesson is, don't believe Eddy's Place. They clearly lie to tell you what you want to hear. If they didn't want to provide me with an order on the house they shouldn't have made the offer! Avoid this place and their dishonest business practices. My order was 2 hours late. I expressed my displeasure multiple times by calling the restaurant and by telling the driver he was two hours late. The restaurant then called me after the order was delivered and they accused me of swearing at the delivery driver (I absolutely did not such thing). I will NEVER order from this place again. I have been ordering from eddys place for almost 5 years now, usually they have had good food but there food is always messy and it falls apart when you get it. Recently I ordered from there and they told me a 45 min wait which took exactly 1 hour and when it showed up all the food was cold like it was sitting out for a half out and the mashed potatoes were so salty you couldn't even eat them. I'm really disappointed with my recent experience with them via takeout. I've ordered from them before and usually get the not overly enthused delivery driver or have picked up my order and the food was consistently decent. When the delivery driver called me to let me know he had arrived to my building, I told him I'd be down in a minute since I had to take the elevator downstairs. When I got down to my lobby, not more than 2 minutes later, there was no one in the lobby, my food was sitting on top of the mailboxes and I saw his taillights driving away. The restaurant told me, when I called to let them know about that, that they were so so busy and they only had the one driver. If it was so busy on Memorial Day why wouldn't you have an extra driver or two? Poor customer service and the food was cold - steak and cheese didn't have melted cheese nor was hot on the inside, and very bland, the fish and chips were soggy and cold and also bland! I downloaded yelp JUST to write this review. BEWARE OF EDDY'S PLACE!! Not only is the food undercooked and disgusting 9-10, but they have the audacity to drop your food off at the door without even confirming they are in the right place. I ordered pizza on my credit card and they delivered it to the wrong building.. no one answers the door obviously and they leave my pizza boxes on the dirty ground and keep it moving. In front of the wrong door!! Then had the nerve to get an attitude on the phone, rude as hell because I wanted a refund. Why would I want to pay for someone else to eat my pizza? Idiots!
