Hadn't had Stoneham house in a while and figured I'd give them another shot since the change in ownership. Ordered a 14 piece chicken finger. I knew immediately when walking in that my food wasn't going to be good. The restaurant smelled like dirty fryer oil. Grabbed my order and left. The food also smelt of old fryer oil and there were burnt bits of food stuck to my chicken. I ate one piece of chicken, double wrapped everything and threw it in the trash. This was probably the best calzone I've ever had. I have been trying to find a good calzone near the Stoneham area and nothing even comes close to this. The calzone was fully stuffed and exactly what I ordered. The Greek salad was amazing too. Fantastic portion sizes, extremely timely, and the perfect takeout place! Went this evening and ordered two greek salads with chicken one with extra feta and both no onions. Total cost was $39 as we also got two bottles of water. Came home only to find that both salads are loaded with onions. i couldn't even pick them out that's how many there was. My husband called as I went back. I walked in she said sorry but then said we could keep them. I said no they are loaded with onions. She said it would be about 5 mins. As someone who is in the industry and with all the competition out there they messed up. I would have refunded the money for the salads for first making them wrong and second for the inconvenience of having the guest drive back and wait. Yummy carbs!! The pizza had a Crunchy crust, ample toppings, cheesy base and medium rise. I couldn't cal it thin crust and it's not quite thick, so I'd say medium. I ordered a one size pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni and broccoli and it was delicious. Hubby ordered the large chicken Parmesan calzone and loved it. Not the same since new owners Been coming here for 10 years. New owners are nice but the ingredients have definitely changed. Sub rolls are different. Pizza is different. Sauce is different. Everything is off by just enough of a margin to be noticeable. About 10 minutes later I call again, he's almost there...when the driver gets here, no apology, this is an hour and 20 minutes from time of order, no tip. We would love to support a local business but it is not just about tasty food it is also about being kind, friendly and appreciative of your customers. And the best part- their crust. Unlike other pizza I've had and I love it! When I was in elementary school I ordered a pizza with a friend once and had my first taste of pepper and onion pizza, which I enjoyed a lot. Ordered for the first time today. Very disappointed. Ordered two California Dreaming salads and both were missing three of its listed ingredients and the dressing sent with the order was not the dressing listed on the menu. When I contacted the restaurant, the man who answered the phone was arrogant and did not care that he did not provide excellent service and was unapologetic, non-cholent and dismissive. When I expressed my disappointment, the man stated "oh well" and admitted that they did not have all of the ingredients and failed to contact me after I placed my order and intentionally sent over unfilled orders. Was going into office today and was pumped for Stoneham house, unfortunately wasn't aware of new ownership. Ordered buffalo pizza that had a hint of sauce and no buffalo. I've had pizza from Stoneham Pizza probably about 6 times now within the last couple years. It's our Go-To place in Stoneham. The first pizza we ever tried was the Stoneham Special and we're totally hooked. It has a variety of meats and veggies. It just tastes great! Everything was fresh tasting. It's never been overcooked or undercooked. Price is very reasonable too, though it's hard to find an updated menu online with prices. I'm uploading a pic of the pizza. We forgot to take the picture BEFORE we started eating so you only get to look at half a pie. Sadly, we've only tried one other item from them which was a salad (first time we ever ordered). The salad was kinda weak - mostly lettuce, a couple cucumbers, couple tomatoes, and some onion. Sorta your typical pizza shop salad. If you're looking for a decent pizza. I called back when I got to my friends place and saw this is not what I ordered, the guy said come back tomorrow when my boss is here and you can get your order. I called the next day and said I'm coming since I live 15 mins away.. he said he can have it ready and I have to pay $10 instead of $14 I said why am I paying again? I already paid $14 yesterday and didn't get my order that I paid for. He said I'm giving u a discount and then said ok hold on.. the new owner got on the phone and said come back and I will give u cash back. I asked if he can just put the money back on my card that I paid with and he said "no it's my fucking waste of time" I said what? Going out on a limb, this is a Greek family that runs the restaurant. I don't know what it is, I've noticed growing up that I like how Greeks prepare a pizza better than anyone else. I can never quite put my finger on it. The crust is usually a little thin, nice crunch on the end but soft golden-brown breading for the rest of the pizza, cheese has a nice golden brown layer, sauce is tasty but not sweetened. Anyways, this place has that style of pizza. Reminds me of Town House Pizza in Lynn, used to be run by a very sweet family. Anyways, back to here! Staff were pleasant and service was quick. Pizza was nice even luke warm (my request, in a rush to get to work and didn't want it reheated because of time constraints). What I was blown away by was the cost.
