The salad was awesome with many layers of flavor featuring blueberries, strawberries, apples & kiwi fruits with a Balsamic Dressing. The Potage au Fromage was delicious & delicately seasoned. Edward's Signature Dressing was a favorite with my entire group. The Cornish Game Hens were given a citrus glaze & stuffed with orange sections to infuse the citrus flavor throughout the hen. Garlic asparagus was a delicious side & balanced the citrus glazed poultry. The portions were very nicely sized for even the largest appetites. They make their own breads & they are served to you hot-from-the-oven with their signature butter creations. For my event William created a delicious Southern Chocolate Cake from his mother's recipe collection. Clean, operated washers and dryers are available in both the men's in the ladies room and you can use your cell phone and a smart phone app to pay for services. Nice touch. We note some derogatory comments about the attitude of the owners, but in our experience, nothing could be further from the truth. Put yourself in their position watching a wide range of RV travelers coming in and out all day long. If you do, so, you can imagine they'll see some excellent visitors, many, run-of-the-mill visitors, and some are to put it in nicely less than desirable. They see it all in our experience. A little engagement on some humor goes along way, and we found them to be delightful. Go in the joy. This is a nice campground with clean well appointed facilities. Go and enjoy. We opted for three whites (Sauv Blanc, Viognier, and Riesling) and all the reds (Merlot, Montepulciano, Chambourcin, cab Sauvignon, and a couple of blends (including a meritage). They are in the process of releasing a new Monte/nebbiolo blend, which I'm thrilled we were able to try. All the wines were delightful, but I was particularly fond of the mystique (Chambourcin), meritage, and the cab. There is a large offering of over 20 varieties. One of the current owners led our tasting and gave us detailed explanations of the history and thought process behind each wine. There are 11 wines that were the original Autumn Creek wines and then the new owners have added some new wines and new blends under the label Gioia dell'Amore Cellars. We liked all of the wines that we tasted. Our favorites were the Diamond Girl White & Red Blends and the Embrace Meritage red blend. After our tasting we purchased a bottle of Diamond Girl Red to enjoy on property. Outside the tasting room are a large deck and a brick patio with sweeping views of grapevines, a pond, a waterfall, a gazebo, a covered area and an event venue (where an anniversary party was taking place). It made for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.

The weather happened to be perfect at 1 pm and the water was high bc of all the rain. There are 3 little rapids at the beginning and it took us a minute to figure out how to navigate it once we dropped in, but once we were past, it was very peaceful and fun.
