He's patient, honest, and always happy to share his knowledge - exactly the traits you'd want in a card shop owner. He's upfront and transparent about his prices when he's buying/selling cards, and makes sure people leave knowing how to check fair market values for themselves. His prices are super fair in today's crazy market, and he goes out of his way to hook people up with promos and deals whenever he can. My kids would live at this shop if I'd let them!

I used to collect sports cards growing up and had a Pokémon collection as a kid too, which I sadly sold at a garage sale before I knew any better. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owner and his wife. Even with the holiday weekend keeping them busy they were super welcoming and took time to walk us through the store, explain how they price things, and answer our questions. First time shoppers also get a cool Pokémon pin which my son loved, and he picked one out for his sister too. Make sure to signup for their newsletter as they have a nice little $5 promotion too! Great selection if you're into Pokémon--from packs to slabs to singles. They also had a solid variety of video games and consoles from vintage to newer stuff. I had fun digging through the sports card boxes too, just wish there were a few more to look through. Best part was my son had such a fun experience. We opened packs together and put his cards into a binder we bought there. Definitely felt like a core memory for both of us. Would definitely recommend if you want to support a local shop. We'll definitely be back.

One of the most beautiful written and beautifully drawn comics of 1999. Smax #5 by Alan Moore. All of these Alan Moore comics on America Best Comics are gems. Alan Moore getting his 2nd wind and having fun with comic books again. Coup D'etat #1 Written By Ed Brubaker; Art By Jim Lee, #2 Written By Micah Ian Wright; Interesting event storyline where The Authority seizes control of the US Government. This TPB is out of print and since Micah Ian Wright was fired by DC and blacklisted from comics for stolen valor everything he's written has stayed out of print. The Authority story with art by Jim Lee that DC will probably never ever reprint in our lifetime. And some FCBD Greatest America Superhero, Superman, ect. Great store and great customer service.

We didn't come up with a close by card store, but there was this comic book store we decided to stop and try. The owner was very very nice. Easy to talk to. He said no, he didn't have anything as far as trading cards go, but he suggested some other places to try. Lots and lots of comics on the shelves, and there were quite a few people inside browsing and chatting with the owner as well.

The shopkeeper on duty, alongside some other visitors, were pretty chill and nice, and I even got to paint a model of a Salamander Primaris Infernus. Learning how to thin the paints for the model and knowing what piece went where was a really great experience. Overall, I had a good time there, and I'd definitely come back here to hobby and even play some games every now and then. If you want to get into the hobby of painting and building the different models while you also live in Union City, this is a great place to do so.

They're really helpful. They have a few long boxes set up in the front with 1 dollar comics and 5 dollar graphic novels in the front of the store. Singles are kept in the 1$ long boxes which include a lot Marvel, Image, Valiant, Ultraverse comics from the 90s, you'll also find some DC and vertigo titles as well. Sifting through these boxes gave me flashbacks of when I was a comic collector in the 90s. Towards the back left and back wall of the store, you'll find shelves of graphic novels, omnibus, and other collected editions. Back issues are set up on a large table in the back. You can find a mixed selection of different titles from Silver age to modern. I found surprising inventory of certain title runs. I have a bit more exploring to do in this store. Crush carries good comic storage stuff - boxes, bags and boards (BCW brand) on the right side of the store.

I was here for pokemon specifically, and luckily I found what i was in search of, but there are about 2-3 of the vendors that sell pokemon product, while 1-2 of them specialize in pokemon while also at a great price! I also noticed the largest collection of Pop Funko i've ever seen, along with walls and isles of action figures, Hot wheels, Comic Books, and some of the friendliest, and knowledgeable staff you'll come by! Pricing wise, I believe it's 0.25 a brick and 0.50 a long slab. Personally it would be cool if they charged a bulk price for a full cup, that's my only little gripe. But the people here are friendly and will help find anything they can that's within their means.

I called the store one day to ask if they took in opened boxed Legos for cash. I asked one more question, which I believe was the most important one, is there anything I should do before I come in and they said no. Ultimately I took apart the Lego set, thinking it would be easier for them, plus no one I know would want a Lego set that's already put together. Where's the fun in that? Overnight I took apart the set and bagged everything according to the manuals. I think I did a pretty good job at doing all of that for them. The following day I went in and informed the person at the counter that I had called about trading in a Lego set for cash. I proceeded to show them the bags and manuals for the set. The guy behind the counter gave me a blank stare and looked at the bags and threw out a number. It wasn't a fair price, their reasoning behind it was the set was not put together, and how were they to know if it was the correct set and if all the parts were there. Furthermore, they stated that if I brought it in put together, the cash back would've been a little higher. Still not a fair price. He gave me the bags back and said I could go home put it back together and come back later. I just gave up. I sold it as is. In all honesty, I shouldn't have, but I lost my job prior to this interaction and I needed the money. Honestly, if you have Legos that you're trying to sell, just hold out and sell them on your own. Go to different toy stores, look up local toy groups, or trade events. It's not worth going here.

Went to pick up an order and was met at the front door by a very dirty looking young man in a knit cap. He refused to let me inside and handed me the order while telling me to "get lost". When I got home and opened the kit, it was obvious to me this was either a return or previously owned. Tried to call back to get a refund and was told "you come around here and I'll call the police". So... maybe a report to the local business licensing and inspection department is in order?
