My wife and I stopped by Taqueria Los Perrones with friends around 9:00 p.m. on a Friday evening…read moreand there was a short line of folks in front of us. If I'm being totally honest, the line moves quite slowly, since everything is made to order. From the side of the road, the trompo with the al pastor was the main attraction, with a giant flame roaring on one side. For that reason, I opted for three al pastor tacos, even though my other favorites -- cabeza and lengua, were available as well. A sweet slice of grilled pineapple is included with all of the al pastor tacos and toppings -- like diced onions, cilantro, radishes, and salsas are all self-serve after you pay. If you ask for your tacos to-go, they'll wrap them up on some aluminum foil. Since the stall is on the sidewalk of an intersection, there's really no place to eat the tacos other than the Target parking lot behind the taco stand. The tacos here are solid, but perhaps a bit pricey, at $4 each. Each taco is doubled up on tortillas. The al pastor tacos I had were well-seasoned, had a wonderful smokey, char flavor, and were really nicely crisped up. Although I didn't personally order one, I saw that the burritos here are absolutely massive. Surprisingly, the taco stand only takes credit card. If you try to pay with cash, the woman handling the check-out process will explain that she does not have any change available. Additionally, although there is a list of meats that are available, there is no menu, nor any prices listed. Overall, tasty tacos, but the experience could've been better overall.

We dod not even taste the food he brought us. A friend bought us food that he got here and we did not eat it after he told us where he got it and what he saw and it was too late and paid when he realized how the food was handled and lack of sanitation the that he saw them at Corner of Whipple on the way to get food at El Po_ _o Loco and decided to try it against our orders to go to EL. Filthy handling of cash and food and wiping with the same rag holding it with the same hand for cash and all etc.

When it showed up, it was loaded with bacon, ham, pineapple, chicken, pork and more! It was a beast of a sandwich! To maintain my beauty (??) in the presence of the beast, I only ate about a third of it. The rest of it was just fine reheated later on. Grillaz Gone Wild has fun takes on the BBQ sandwich, and does them well. They sure do not skimp on ingredients! The food truck staff was fun, friendly and gave helpful hints about the items on offer. They serve the classic cheesesteaks, but I think that they stand out for their unique interpretations of the classic sandwiches. The Flying Pig. Does it intrigue you? Trust me, the pineapple pulls the flavour together. Now, search for Grillaz Gone Wild and catch that Flying Pig!

The pepper steak sandwich was stuffed with hot cherry peppers and the ribeye meat was pretty dry. There wasn't enough American cheese on it. The loaded fries were a good portion. The fries were lightly seasoned with all seasoning salt. They were crispy. However, it was smothered in too much cheddar cheese and scallions. There wasn't much bacon on it and the ribeye meat was in large pieces which didn't make it as enjoyable. A little pricey for what it's worth as we spent ~$26 on 2 items. :/

Perhaps it was the hunger and the smell of grilled meat in the air, or that the bright yellow oven was steaming and the sweetness of fresh roasted corn aroma was my calling, but it called and I came. The menu was simple: Baked Potato (5) Roasted Corn (2.5) Lemonade/Pink Lemonade (2) Water/Soda (1) +(.5) for any additional potato toppings. That corn is so special because it's just slow roasting in that giant, yellow oven so old school and classic, where you know that's why the food is some delicious. Their famous corn should be topped with: salt, butter, cheese, chile, lemon and mayonnaise. I'm not a huge mayonnaise so I skipped that, but the rest melted all into a buttery drizzle went perfectly with the corn. They don't have the butter out, so let them know you want butter with your corn. Plus, the corn is ON the cob! The potato is amazing. It's huge so huge it's about twice the size of a regular sized person's fist. It's baked and the skin is crispy. Meaty potato loaded on top with different cheeses, salt, butter, green onions, bacon bits, sour cream and jalapenos. It's the perfect hotness and they wrap it up beautifully for you. I'm not even sure if these words should be used to describe food, but I am and they can because I have no other words. Must come try the baked potato because you won't regret it. Absolutely delicious and makes me love farmer's market to discover food vendors that you can't have every day. The lemonade isn't bad and not overly sticky or sweet. The pink one is always better! If you ever swing by the San Leandro's FM, this is the one stop that you should duck into for a second to indulge yourself-never had a better baked potato. Plus, it well worth that five bucks you have. The carbs are worth it because an extra hour at the gym won't kill.
