I've visited this store about four times now, and unfortunately, each visit left me with the same impression. First, the customer service is not great. I don't expect owners or employees to act like best friends with every customer, but basic friendliness goes a long way. A simple greeting, a smile, or even a respectful tone would make a difference. Every time I came in, I tried to say hello with a smile, but I was usually met with cold shoulders, blank looks, or no response at all. I've seen mixed reviews from other people, so maybe experiences vary, but from what I personally noticed, customers seem to be treated differently for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. Second, the language used by the staff/owners was uncomfortable. I brought my nephews with me, and there were also other families with kids in the store. The workers or owners didn't seem shy about throwing around curse words, including f-bombs, in front of everyone. I understand this is not a children's store, but if kids and families are present, it really should not be that hard for grown adults to keep it professional for a few minutes. At one point, I exchanged looks with another parent, and we both clearly felt the same way. Lastly, the pricing is disappointing. They do have some rare figures, but many of them are overpriced even when you factor in shipping from online sellers. The loose figures were also poorly packed and still expensive, which makes them hard to justify. Overall, the prices felt pretty close to eBay, sometimes without the convenience or buyer protection that online shopping offers. Maybe this place is worth checking out if you live in the Bay Area and want to avoid shipping, but based on my visits, I don't see a strong reason to come back. There is a diecast seller that has insanely inflated prices. He has an entire 7/11 Supra display that hasn't been touched in months due to it being $15 a pop. Go somewhere else if you want to get hot wheels/matchbox for fair pricing on the secondary market. Shoutout to the other diecast vendor in the corner. He has reasonable pricing and will work with you if you bundle items. read more

Went in to sell a collection and got a scummy lowball offer for the whole box. Was told the offer stands while I look around for a more realistic one. Tried to go back 20 mins later and got told to kick rocks. What a horrible way to do business. Go literally anywhere else unless you wanna get wallet r*ped and forced to say thanks after. read more

I got here right as the shop opened and was greeted by one of the shop staff members immediately with a hello and welcome in, to walk into one of the most vast collection spaces i've ever seen!! From multiple extremely kind vendors, are small businesses set up around the warehouse to browse and I could honestly spend hours walking around looking at everything! I was here for pokemon specifically, and luckily I found what i was in search of, but there are about 2-3 of the vendors that sell pokemon product, while 1-2 of them specialize in pokemon while also at a great price! I also noticed the largest collection of Pop Funko i've ever seen, along with walls and isles of action figures, Hot wheels, Comic Books, and some of the friendliest, and knowledgeable staff you'll come by! Comic & Figure Addicts brought back all the nostalgia, surrounding me with toys and collectibles from my childhood and even earlier. Walking into their warehouse felt like stepping right into my 8 year-old happy place. Saying they have nearly everything under the sun doesn't do it justice. It's a treasure trove of memories and fun! From Star Wars, Transformers, G.I. Joe and He-Man to Marvel, DC, Funko Pop!, Hot Wheels, wrestling figures, and so much more, you'll be surprised at all the cool stuff waiting to be discovered. There were vintage, sealed figures and plenty of loose, bagged options as well. Building an epic battle scene? With all the accessories and playsets available, you can totally let your imagination run wild. Recreate a G.I. Joe SkyStriker taking on a Cobra Night Raven, a B-Wing dogfighting a TIE Bomber, Jetfire throwing down with Devastator, BattleCat defending Castle Grayskull, or even a wrestling dream match between Demolition and the Usos. Whatever you dreamt up as a kid, you can bring it to life here. One of the guys there said it feels like walking into a toy convention and honestly, he couldn't have described it better. Tbh the store is a cool place but the vendors there are pretty rude, i remember i was just glancing at some unreleased figures and they told me i couldn't look at them, they charge so much on mafex figures that have been opened and i wanted this figure and i asked how much and it was $250. It was opened and didn't even come with a stand that its supposed to come with. Maybe if they were actually nice and had some understanding or negotiable prices it would have better reviews but unless you wanna spend over $200 for something thats been opened already don't go here. read more

The new location is huge and there is a wide variety of comics, collectibles and funko pops. However, when I walked in no one greeted me and took me a while to find someone who could help me look for what I was looking for. Great selection but the customer service could be improved. A lot of their more pricier items are on display but yet they don't want customers looking at them without their consent. Flat out - I loved this place. This was one of the biggest comics and toys stores, I've ever seen. The selection on everything was crazy. I've NEVER seen a more comprehensive toy, action, figure and collectibles store. I didn't come for comics so I can't speak to that much but there were a ton of comics everywhere. My pictures can't do this place justice, but it's massive. It's not really a single comic book store but more like a 5-7 stores in one spot like a swap meet. Not all of the stores were open technically when I went, but I went at 2pm in the middle of the week. However, all the signs said you could just ask and somebody would help you with whatever you needed and whenever you needed. I found the selection of action figures, which is what I was looking for, to be the biggest, broadest, and most comprehensive I've ever seen in a comic shop outside of going to a convention. The guy I talked to and helped me check out was also super crazy knowledgeable about toys and action figures and not just the ones I bought. Now, there are couple things to keep in mind... it's a massive place with different little shops so you have to speak up for yourself if you need anything otherwise, they're cool about letting you just do your thing. Second, it's in the middle of nowhere, in an industrial section, next to auto body/repair/machine shops with no big sign.... So it seems totally sketch from the outside and you can't really tell if you're in the right place, but there was a small plastic sign on the ground that confirms you're there and all you need to do is follow it to the door. Great shop for Comics and Figurines. They have mostly newer comics, but also an interesting selection of graded comics. The real attraction is the vast selection of figurines. They have a HUGE collection of Funko Pops. They have several glass display cases with everything from M.A.S.K. figurines to last year's Marvel figures on display and for sale. There is an impressive collection of Transformers, Ninja Turtles, and many other bits of nostalgia. They will likely have something for any fandom you would want. Most impressive was two Optimus Primes (original with box) on display and for sale. In the next case was a variety of original Star Wars figures. They also had a series of Sterilite bins with Build-A-Figure parts for those Marvel Legends figures that you never got around to buying. There is a discount bin of the B-character figures that they're trying to move out to make room for the latest and greatest. The owner is a bit rough looking, but that's just his exterior - great guy as soon as you start talking to him. He is very into figure collecting and he takes his displays to expos and cons from time to time, and he seems to come back with more than he left with - his store is absolutely filled with so many figures. I was able to find a loose Cake the Cat figurine to replace the one that I broke a few years back. I stop by this shop every other month or so just to see what new merchandise he has and to get my updates on new comic series that are out. Great shop overall. read more

I've driven by this place so many times; I finally came here with a co-worker during our lunch break one day. It's tucked away in this shopping center along Union City Blvd. You park behind the building, and the entrance is right by the lot (no entrance on the street side). I feel like the name should be "Figure and Toy Addicts, with some comics," since their selection of comic books and graphic novels pales in comparison to the droves of toys and figures. There is an end cap with new comics, another aisle with new(ish) titles and another aisle with back issues. Otherwise, it's all toys, toys and more toys. The selection of toys is impressive, from the regular Funko pops to imported Japanese figures, and everything in between. They do carry a lot of uncommon exclusive releases, too, not just your garden variety stock. My co-worker spent at least 30 minutes perusing the shelves, looking at mostly toys. During our visit, no one greeted us at the door (the cash register is on the far end of the store) or asked us if we needed any help. The guy at the register kept on watching TV and talking to his friend, and certainly did not talk to any of the other customers until they were ready to pay. It almost felt like we were a nuisance, invading his private home instead of a retail business. Also, the sale items had huge stickers on them with their sale price. While I am not a "mint-in-box" collector, I would think this would be a problem to people who don't want visible blemishes. You would think like-minded collectors would put the prices on the bottom of the boxes. In the end, I don't plan come back, despite the impressive collection of items. I didn't see anything so rare that I had to come here, and the prices were definitely on the higher side. While I do want to support local small businesses, they don't seem to want my attention, so I won't give them mine. read more

Heard about this place from a collector and decided to leave a Yelp review after my First and Last Visit! Only until I got on Yelp did I read others peoples review of this horrible place. Mind you, I drove a good distance here since I use to live in Union City and thought it would be cool to visit a business in my home town. Firstly, I came around 1 pm on a Friday so it was far from being busy. In fact there was only 2 customers there and the entrance is far from the register. Not sure if this guy was the owner but he was an overweight Hispanic guy in his 30's and I totally agree that he has no sense of customer service at all! The place opens at 12 pm so not sure why this guy had no manners and no courtesy for its limited customers. After walking through the aisles to get a sense of comics and toys they had, I asked the employee/owner where they keep their Funko prototypes (price range from from $100 to $500 on average). The guy responds as though I bothered him from watching tv, and tells me rudely that If there's any, it's behind the glass display. Instead of directing me to the particular items, I had to look through the display case to find/locate their limited collection which was around other boxed items. I only saw one after looking through their jumbled collection. For an employee who wasn't busy, that was the worse experience in a small business like a comic shop. I expect that at Wal-Mart with their minimum wage employees but considering comics and collectibles is such a niche business, I expect better customer service. read more

This place was terrific for our teens. It's getting harder and harder to find a spot that our 13, 16 & 18 year olds all like but we were successful here! They had a bit for everyone - even my husband and I who love our comic books. Our 13 year old daughter loves to paint and is very artistic. This place had really cool characters that she could paint. Disappointing first visit. I walk in with no mask and the guy yells across the room "You need a mask on!". I understand it's his store policy so I walk out to my car finding a mask to put on. As I go back in, I LITERALLY see him giving service to another customer with no mask on....my friend even told me that's a d****e move. I am not complaining about the mask policy, but when you put me on blast in front of other people while serving other customers who don't follow the rules doesn't sit right with me. I pass by to this place to check out some figures with my son. Notice most of the loose figures was overprice. I saw some itemS behind the counter and asked the guy behind the counter if the items are for sale. He look at me with angrily answered me NO! Another customer asked him But a little nicer to him. I told myself he is probably racist. I was going to buy something just to help support small business like his. But after having treated like that I told myself I'm not spending a penny to this place. If he is the owner, I guess good luck selling your stuff because with a nasty attitude like that no one is coming back there. read more

I heard one guy behind the counter talking with another customer about Star wars and they were happy to let me join their conversation. The owner does overprice everything and since you can not return, even if the product was never opened and it's the next day, I can not recommend this place ever. It's true that the owner overprices and low balls you for every trade or selling collection you have. The website is also the worst I have ever seen, it is useless and there is no point for it to be up. I have tried many things to see what is the use of this place, for example I asked about preordering and the owner said oh they can only preorder if another store has it, so why is this place opened, to ripoff others, and sell comic con tickets, but only to people the owner knows. Stayed outside before opening in hopes of getting a chase funko pop for something that was posted on social media the night previously. I'm the first person in the store for the day and I cannot find the chase pops, I asked about them to be told that the chases were being held for "preorders" why in the world would someone post the image as if it were available then?! Also very ridiculous for the preorders to all be chase pops. I thought this would be my go to comic shop but I guess not! New location at the newer business park on Union City boulevard near Smith Street. A little hidden - the entrance is located in the back of the store, where the parking lot is (facing away from the main road). Dropped in since the boyfriend wanted to look around. Lots of cool stuff - mostly comic books, figurines and those funko pop things (MAKES SENSE WITH THEIR STORE NAME WOW SUDDEN REALIZATION LOL). They are on the pricey end, but they are a specialty store so it's nothing out of the ordinary. Currently obsessed with Moana because she has my hair, so I had to get a Moana pop bobble head thing with the little coconut dude from the movie. It was $20 before tax. Only issue we had was that the employee forgot to flip the sign to open, so we had to second-guess the hours posted on the door. No biggie though, mistakes happen, and he was apologetic. Customer service was okay. TBH - I think their workers are simply not the most social people in the world, so their lack of dialogue can be understood as them being a douche. With my experience with them, they're more than willing to help if you ask. Overall, Nifty store if you're into superheroes or things of that jazz. Great place for collectors. read more
