To be honest, most of the reviews scared me away from coming here. But one day at work, half of my gel manicure, which I had for two weeks, suddenly chipped and cracked. I was left with nails that had half the polish missing, and one of my biggest pet peeves is having overly chipped nails. So on my lunch break, I walked in hoping they could take me, and they did! My nails were finished with about 10 minutes left in my break, so the gel removal and manicure took about 50 minutes. I did already have half of the polish chipped off, so that may have helped speed things up. I love the color, loved my manicurist, and my gel manicure has lasted over three weeks with no chips. I also appreciated that they accepted me as a walk-in and how quickly they worked. Even if some people might consider it "rushed," I ended up with an awesome manicure. I was a loyal customer here for about four years before I moved out of town. I recently moved back to the area and have visited three times over the past few months, hoping to have the same experience I used to. Unfortunately, the quality of this salon has gone downhill in almost every way. The customer service is honestly some of the worst I've experienced. The staff is consistently rude, dismissive, and unfriendly. Appointments don't seem to matter because I've had to wait even when arriving on time. No one apologizes or communicates about the delay. One of my biggest issues is the pricing. There is no clearly posted price list, which makes it feel like prices are made up as they go. Every visit seems to cost something different, and when I asked for a breakdown of the charges, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. For what they charge, the service and overall experience simply don't justify the price. The salon itself also feels very outdated. The massage chairs are old, the towels look super worn out, and during my visits I personally did not observe equipment like the gel curing lamps or the massage chairs being cleaned between clients. Cleanliness is something I pay close attention to, especially at a nail salon, and it did not leave me feeling confident. The atmosphere is anything but relaxing. The employees talk loudly to each other in their language throughout the salon for most of the appointment, making it difficult to enjoy what's supposed to be a spa experience. There were also moments when staff laughed and spoke among themselves while looking at customers. I can't say what was being said, but it made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. What disappoints me the most is that this salon used to be one of my favorites. I kept coming back because I thought maybe I had just caught them on a bad day, but after three visits, it's clear this is the new normal. After reading the recent reviews, I realized my experience isn't unique. It's unfortunate because this place has so much potential, but somewhere along the way they stopped valuing customer service, transparency, and the overall client experience. There are too many great nail salons in the Burbank/Los Angeles area to spend this kind of money only to leave feeling frustrated and disrespected. Zero respect to other people's time! I had an appointment for a pedicure today at 3 PM with Trish. I arrived on time and was directed by the front desk to seat on a pedicure chair. I was told that Trish will be right with me. Waited for 15 minutes, nobody showed up. I asked front desk what's going on? They told me that my appointment was at 3:30 which was a lie. I walked in early on my birthday, finally with time to pamper myself before an upcoming trip--and instead, I left feeling completely disrespected and disregarded. I waited over 30 minutes just to be seated, with zero communication or apology. Once they finally started, they left acetone-soaked foils on my hands for over half an hour, damaging my natural nails I had been carefully growing. My skin was irritated, and no one checked on me even once during that time. To make it worse, the service felt rushed and careless. There was no towel under my hands--something every other customer received. I walked out with glue still stuck to my nails, powder on my skin, and no attempt was made to clean my hands. It was clear they were just trying to get me in and out as fast as possible. These weren't just any nails--they were my birthday nails, and I scheduled my day around this appointment. Very disappointed with my experience. The receptionist was extremely rude and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. Customer service is a big part of any business, and first impressions matter. I'm frustrated with this nail salon because my appointment is never on time. Every time I come in, I still end up waiting well past my scheduled time, which defeats the purpose of making an appointment. It feels disorganized and disrespectful of customers' time. Tried this place with a friend and it was a terrible experience. We had an appointment for both of us to get pedicures together. They said we would be sat next to each other but that didn't happen. Then when I finally got in a chair the nail tech Jessica was very rude. She never said Hi or asked if I was comfortable. My feet barely reached the end so I couldn't put my feet flat. I had to ask her to adjust the the seat position so it didn't hurt trying to hold them up the whole time. As she cleaned my toes she wiped the tool across the top of my foot instead of on the towel. Why would you put back on me??? So bizzare... Then the color issue....I picked a sparkle purple but when she put it on, it looked like bubble gum pink. I said no that's not the right color. She told me ITS MY SKIN TONE THAT MAKES THE COLOR LOOK LIKE THAT! I was completely appalled! My skin tone doesn't change nail polish color WHAT??? I said no that's not the right color and compared it to the polish on my nail and shes double down its the same. Then she said you just want a lighter color then and walked away to get the right one. When she put the 2nd polish on she said well maybe the sample you wanted was gel and not regular polish...DUH!! It was totally different...As a black woman it is very insulting to blame the color of my skin for the polish looking different. It was just the wrong color and could have easily been a mistake. They charged me $30 extra for just plain polka dot design! I saw on their menu that it was $62 for a plain color for GelX. I showed her my design of like this clearcoat with black polkadots on it. She said she could do it and then when I go up to the front, they said it was $92 and when I asked why the girl at the front desk assumed that I had a removal. Absolutely the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. This was my second visit, and it reminded me why I avoid places like this. I wanted to give them a fair shot, but I'll definitely be going back to my usual, more reliable salon. I booked an appointment over the phone with the Vietnamese receptionist for 10:00 AM. When I arrived, I waited 45 minutes with no explanation. No one greeted me or communicated the delay. The staff were either in the back or glued to their phones. It was disorganized and unprofessional. They told me they couldn't do gel powder until Rose arrived--so I waited. When Rose finally started, the service went from bad to worse. She painted over a visible piece of lint stuck on my nail, creating a bubbled finish. I pointed it out multiple times, and instead of fixing it, she shrugged and said, "It's done." She was dismissive, rough, and clearly lacked both skill and care. Thank God the Hispanic receptionist was kind and tried to advocate for me--because I left with some of the ugliest nails I've ever had, even after they gave me a $6 discount. The whole ordeal took over 2.5 hours. Vivian eventually stepped in to fix what she could, and even she admitted Rose's work was subpar. Honestly, Rose was arrogant, wouldn't own up to her mistakes, and hurt my nails trying to rush the job. This salon is chaotic. Appointments are mismanaged, and the Vietnamese receptionist clearly didn't know what she was doing--booking me with someone who couldn't even do what I requested. Saying "everyone is good at nails" is not only untrue, it's misleading. A busy salon doesn't mean good service. If you value your time, money, and sanity--do NOT book here. And especially, do NOT book with Rose. They also paid others to do 5 star review at the front desk so when you see 5 stars beware. Their overall ranking was a 4.6 to a 3.3 for a reason! This is my regular nail salon and has been for 2 years. I made an appointment days prior for 5p. Showed up and after 45 mins of waiting they still had not started my service or updated me. I asked how much longer as I had arranged childcare for a set time period and drive 30 minutes because this is my normal spot. I showed up and the receptionist was apologetic when she let me know that i would have to wait 25 minutes for someone to start on my mani/pedi. I got Gel-X with chrome, a hand-drawn butterfly design by Henry, and a French gel pedicure. Bella prepped my nails and Henry was incredibly precise with his design. I really wish I could give this place more stars, there are definitely some pros. The location is great and I can walk over after the gym. They are really good at scheduling and I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be seated. I recently had a gel manicure not chip at all after 3 weeks and my pedicures usually last well over a month. However it is a wild card depending on the nail technician. If you can find a good person to go to, that will help ensure you consistently get great service. However, buckle up for a story time about the experience I had this morning and it was less than ideal. I was assigned the technician Nina, and I've never had her before. I came in the get a gel removal and then a regular manicure. Nina was really pushing for me to get the gel manicure instead, she brought it up at least five times and from a bunch of different angles, saying that my nails were too thin and might break or that the polish won't last long. I am aware of all the benefits of gel but I can't afford to get my nails done every few weeks and I try to limit gel manicures to special occasions or work events. Usually I paint my nails at home but I always have difficulty removing gel without damaging my nails. After I refused many times she became very quiet and was filing my nails with a little too much vigor and removed some of the skin from under my pinky nail, when I brought this up she denied it. It even burned when she put acetone on it so it was definitely an open wound. When I was first seated I showed Nina a picture of the nail polish I wanted which was a burnt red/orange color, perfect for fall. She brought over a ring of color swatches that looked like gel polish, which is fine because if you don't put it under the uv light, gel colors function as normal nail polish. However, the swatches were only neon colors, which is quite different from the picture I had showed her. I showed her the picture again and asked if she had anything similar. She told me no, because I'm not getting gel and they don't have any colors like that in regular polish. This was so obviously a lie because the swatches she gave me were all gel colors. I told her this and she said I was wrong. This really made me upset and I was getting ready to just payout and leave then I turned around and saw an entire wall of shelves of OPI nail polish. I pointed it out and she lied again and said that it was all gel polish. I asked a different nail technician about it and she confirmed that it's was all regular polish. I grabbed the color I wanted and Nina was silent the whole time, never even apologizing. I didn't want to press the issue and risk getting my finger cut again so I was also silent. At the end of the day she did a decent job on the manicure itself, but why the theatrics? I know we live near LA, but we don't need to act like we are all starring in a soap opera. So if you do decide to get your nails done here, make sure Nina is NOT your nail technician. read more

I had an appointment with at 230pm the receptionist advised me it would a few minutes (it's never a few minutes) at 250pm I asked how much longer?
