Personable, Quality Service in a Hidden Gem This little hidden gem is tucked away in a small plaza in Burbank. It's a simple, no-frills spot not luxurious or trendy but what it does offer is genuinely great service and a warm, personal experience. Jaymi and her husband are the heart of the place. There were only two clients there when I went, which made the experience feel even more personal and relaxed. They both take their time and really care about the quality of their work. Appointments are a must because they fill up fast, but if you're a busy, on-the-go person like me who doesn't need all the fancy spa extras, this is the perfect place to get in, get taken care of, and enjoy some good conversation while you're at it. They're incredibly sweet and welcoming it almost feels like catching up with old friends. Went above and beyond. It was my first time there. I have a few other places I've gone to in the neighborhood but this is by far the most pleasant experience I have had. Went an hour before closing expecting to be in and out for a mani and pedi. Nick and Jamy made a point to make sure I was comfortable. And Nick really took his time to make sure my nails and cuticles were clean. Way--- past closing time. No rushing, no half in it. He was all in. (So was Jamy with another customer). And the hand and foot massage - it's exactly what I needed. They made sure to come and say hello on top of that. I get it now. This is exactly how you get "regular"s. Because I sure as am one now. Jamy is very very nice and sweet person so this review gets 2 stars for that only...nice, but a bit inexperienced. Now to the nails, it was a complete disaster. It was my birthday weekend and I went in for a simple gel manicure. I don't know if she was rushing or not but she end up cutting my cuticle so bad to the point where it would not stop bleeding and I walked out with a bandaid on my finger. Even while bleeding, she insisted on continuing to polish it, which I thought was really weird. Also, I don't think it's right to charge someone after you've cut them and made them bleed profusely. That should be like a golden rule or something when getting our nails done. Anyway, I did pay her for her services only to come home to the gel literally peeled completely off the nail. When I told her about it, she didn't apologize, she suggested that maybe I should try acrylic. Now, she did offer to redo my nails but why would I go back there after such an experience?! She end up refunding my money and I asked if she could do some brow waxing for the inconvenience but I won't be returning there. Mainly because there was no accountability on her part for her mistakes. Still no apology, just corrective suggestions. lol Any other place would have refunded for cutting and offered to do them again at no cost due to the headache I had to deal with and the time I wasted going there multiple times. I called in advance to make an appointment for a gel pedicure on weekday around 2pm. They quoted $38 for gel pedi. There is a parking lot in the front which is a plus. Once i walked in, there were three workers in the room, one who appears to be the owner was sitting on a pedi chair, and just asked me to pick a color. I went with beige base color with some sparkles on top. The first portion where they shape and trim the nails were fine. Once they got to the back of my heel they asked if Id like a massage/callus removal for $7. I declined, but then they asked again. Once I said no again, the ladies started to speak in Vietnamese-- although I do not speak the language the intonation and context made me wonder if they were upset with my choice, haha. So then the problem started to be more obvious when I noticed them skipping a base color, and went immediately to applying glittery coat. After two layers, the lady rushed into applying the finish coat. I asked her to apply at least one more, but even then you could see all the empty/irregular spaces and made it seem like a child painted my feet. Once they said they were done and noticed me looking carefully at my nails, who appeared to be the owner said "you dont have to wait for it to dry," suggesting I leave I guess. I did my best to kindly ask, "this looks very different from the sample color. I noticed that base color wasnt applied." Then they (face palm) said "of course not because sample is plastic and I have the real nail" ‍ So then i asked "ok so this type of outcome in typical in your salon?" Then the owner-ish lady, while her and my technician are aggressively spitting in their language, reluctantly took me aside and did another silverish glitter coat. Outcome ultimately wasnt the worst, but Id probably save my time and struggle and give business to another establishment with better service and tech read more

I was in the area and saw this place with great reviews! I came in for a spa pedicure w/ gel and was helped by Nick. I spoke to JAMY on the phone and she set up the appointment for me. She was the sweetest! I'm used to having to point everything out I want done, from bad experiences and Nick took his time and told me he saw my concerns and was one step ahead of me . Nowadays so many places take shortcuts where I don't even feel I got a good pedicure done. NOT HERE. Nick took his time, was gentle, and detail oriented. You can tell he has longtime experience and will take his time to take care of you! Btw the calf massage was AMAZING! If you need a good nail salon that's reasonably priced, provides great service, and actually does what you ask for, this is the place! Zero stars. $27 for *literally* a 10 minute nail buff (aka mani without polish). They were 10 minutes late for my very simple appointment- with one customer in the store, besides me. The tools used weren't sanitized. I had to request sanitized tools that were then dug out from under a pile of stuff. It's Burbank- you've got a million other choices. After going to this nail salon for many years, I still feel the same way about it. Great customer service and amazing work. I'm updating my review because I was finally able to try the powder. It was definitely everything I expected it to be. Lee did an amazing job on my nails and I absolutely love the color. Reminds me of jade. I feel like I'll probably start doing powder from now on! The process is less strenuous on your nails, in my opinion. Less exposure to the UV Light they use for the gel. Both feel the same. So if you're ever looking to get your nails done. I've been here a few times already and Jamy is an amazing nail tech. The service is great and Jamy is so kind and considerate. She also is very efficient and definitely knows what she is doing. My gel x manicure with chrome was $80 which is relatively on par with other local prices! I always look forward to my appointments with her. It is a small business so I think it is best to call ahead of time but they also do walk-ins. read more

They are great for an emergency, they took me in at a late hour (6pm) Both times I had the older lady . . 1st time pedicure and waxing. . 2nd time Gel mani and waxing. . I chose to come to this spot on a whim because of the food yelp reviews. I'm not disappointed. I got a regular manicure and pedicure on Tuesday and today is sunday, both still look perfect even after vacation. I would recommend they add more of the popular colors in regular polish (not only gel). Note they also don't offer gel top coats. read more

At 430 pm on a Sunday I set out to cruise the Burbank nail spas for a walk-in set of full acrylics. Barely into my journey, I see a sign across the street that reads "Nail Spa" with an open door. I ran inside the shop and asked about a full set of nails. Before I was able to catch my breath, the man I queried handed me his phone and said "Here, talk to her, she will tell you." That was my introduction to Jamy -- truly a gem, incredibly sweet and helpful. She agreed to meet me back at the shop at 7:30 that evening. Perfect! The man who had made the call asked if I would like a pedicure while I waited. Indeed! He offered me a chair to relax into and some refreshments. What a great atmosphere and very comfortable vibes this shop provided, I thought, as I melted into a wonderful foot massage that was part of my pedi. Jamy was right on time and very gracious. She welcomed me and made me feel super comfortable, like family. It had been a long time since my last set of nails, so she patiently explained all the new options that were available. I settled on the Gel-X nails and I am so glad I did. Jamy certainly knows her craft and she couldn't have done a better job. My nails were perfect, exactly what I wanted. The attached photo was taken almost 3 weeks later and the nails were still looking great. I am hard on my hands and these nails proved to be nearly indestructable. I love them. Today it is 8 weeks later and I am returning for a second set of Gel-X nails. At around 4 weeks I talked Jamy into doing an acrylic fill on the gels along with a color change. But for the nail growth around the cuticle, the gel nails still looked good. I just cannot believe the longevity of these nails, though most of it is likely owing to the excellent application. Thank you, Jamy. I love your shop and have been recommending you to my friends. read more

Had a VERY good experience here. Actually stopped here after going to another nail salon close by but left because of a lack of organization and no masks being worn. I was SO glad to see that this salon was a totally different story, all of the staffs wore masks and the place felt organized and well run. The staff is super friendly and they took their time on my nails, clearly paying attention to detail which I appreciated. I just got a regular manicure and pedicure and it was 40 dollars (with a 2 dollar card fee). I love a good deal but feel like the quality usually lacks in salons with this price range but they were excellent here. Clean, neat, and worked really hard to find/match the color I was looking for!! So happy to have found my new go-to!! read more

At my most recent appointment, I was unfortunately about 20 minutes late. I did call ahead to let them know, and I completely understand that being late impacts scheduling. I take full responsibility for that and truly respect everyone's time. That said, when I arrived, I felt that my wax specialist's demeanor was noticeably rushed and cold compared to my past visits. She let me know she wouldn't be able to complete all of the services due to my lateness, which I understood. I was then passed to another specialist who ended up being great and very kind. What stood out to me was the difference in energy...during my service things felt tense and short, yet I could hear her being very giddy and talkative with her next client. It just made me feel a bit uncomfortable and unwelcome, especially since I already felt bad about being late. I've had many good experiences here over the years, so this was just an unfortunate first negative one. I never had an issue waxing before and knew the risks. When the process was complete, I got up and looked in the mirror and my face had small bumps/hives. I asked Rosemary what they were and she said I'm having an allergic reaction, and recommended that I take Benadryl before waxing my face again.... I thought, OK, this is temporary. 3 days later and the hives have disappeared but my face has tiny acne bumps all over and it is ITCHY as hell. I don't know how long this will last for but it's not worth the money I paid. I wish Rosemary told me that I was having an allergic reaction WHILE she was waxing my face. I only found out after I looked in the mirror and had to ask what that was. She also missed a lot of the micro-hairs on my upper lip (and I usually thread my face which does a much better job of removing fine hairs). She is a really kind and sweet person but my sensitive skin did not react well to her products and waxing and I ruined a perfectly fine face for a painfully itchy acne-prone one. Not worth it.

If you're a man with wretched nails like I do, then this is the place to go to get fixed. Despite some of the staff's slight communication barriers, they more than make up for it by their professional service. Some of you guys may hesitate to even step foot in a nail place for fear of being emasculated, but for those of you who realize and appreciate the wonders of a manicure, I suggest you step out of your comfort zone and ask for Ken instead of one of the lovely ladies. Unless you speak Vietnamese, this guy's English is a bit weak. But if you have some major in-grown nails on your dominant hand that your girlfriend has been asking you to get fixed before you can have more intimacy during "business time," then Ken is your man! I just can't believe the immaculate job he did for me. If you whisper the passphrase, "I don't do wit yoo" and tip him well, he will even throw in additional unadvertised special service for you on your next service. Undoubtedly parking in that plaza is a pain, but with that special passphrase, the next time you come in, you'll have rock star parking reserved for you. Just call them 30 minutes before you arrive for your appointment, and Ken will let you take his spot where he parks his orange creamsicle colored vehicle right in front of the store, while he moves his car somewhere else. I can only give this place a 4 star instead of a 5 despite great service, because if you don't tip Ken well, he will give you one of those death stares as you leave the store, as if he is telepathically warning you of your inconsideration. read more

Let me start off by saying I am the MOST pickiest person when it comes to nails. I heard of this place from a friend. It was her second time going and she really liked her nails. So I said HEY! Why not lets give it a try! I went to get a simple manicure. As I walked in I was so welcomed. They were super friendly! I did not have to wait which was great! Then she started my nails, she was so friendly and I could actually understand what she was saying, which was even better. Of course me being the picky one that I am changed my color maybe twenty times, the girl was so patient. I was offered water which was nice, you do not see that happening often. I was looking for a new salon to try out, after being less than satisfied with my last manicure. SO glad I came here. I was looking for a nail fill and reshaping, and I'm so happy I had Lee fix my mani. Lee is amazing, super fast and quality work, too! My last nail tech gave me square nails when I asked for coffin, and Lee fixed it quickly, and even pointed out some other issues with my last manicure! I've had acrylic nails for over ten years and have been to many manicrists. Tiffany is definitely the best I've ever been to! I had her do pink and white nails for quite awhile and she did a great job on them, but then we decided pink alone would look more natural. And it does. we decided on the dark pink and I love it. And even if I let them go a few more days than I should because I can't get to Tiffany they still look good. Best nail salon EVER! I had to make a yelp account and clear some thing out because some of this yelp reviews are not true. My experience here was relaxing, my nails could have not looked any better (even after a week I only had a tiny chip of nail polish on my right index finger which is crazy b/c I work with my hands mostly) , this place is absolutely spotless and most importantly I could actually understand what the nail tech was saying...SHOCKING I KNOW! My experience here was great, I went in nervous because I thought it would be just "another nail salon" but it wasn't! I was pleased with the results! I got gel and a pedi.
