I'm new to matcha and I appreciated the employee's suggestion to pair with oat milk. It was well balanced and creamy without an overly earthy taste. I am a daily gallon iced tea drinker so trust me when I say, you definitely want to recruit me as a customer. I just needed help getting there. I mean honestly when you've used teabags most of your life for iced tea perhaps you've never weighed the teabag to see how much it takes... I mean it's pretty basic... When you want to build recurrent customers, you want to help people feel successful so that they also become lovers of whatever it is you're selling... It's not rocket science. There were two employees working. One was really unhelpful but fortunately, the second person at least got some products in my hands. Neither really weren't helpful in the way that you want as a new customer. When I think of it from the business owners perspective, when a new customer has walked in the door and they're not sure how to use your product, it's definitely an opportunity. Especially when it's something that holds potential for recurrent purchases. I was unsure how much tea would be needed to make a pitcher of tea and the response I got was very unhelpful "well I can't answer that because I don't know the vessel you're going to put your tea in". I could describe my "vessel" if asked- a 1 gallon glass tea pitcher. In my business, I am most successful when I ask the right questions instead of expecting people to be specialists in something that perhaps they've never gone through, purchased or done before. Instead of being curious with the customer in order to help me achieve my goal and be successful right off the top, I was on my own. The female employee didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered at all. I was frustrated but not quite enough to walk out bc being empty-handed would not help. The male employee stepped in and was able to help a bit more. It definitely wasn't perfect because I got the comment about the "vessel", but at least I was able to figure it out enough to make a purchase. If they would've worked with me at least a little bit, I would've happily spent twice as much and wouldn't have to go back a week later! The tea itself is delicious. The ambience is wonderful... The problem was the people... Fortunately, not enough of a problem that will impede me from going back today but certainly enough for me to take time out of a busy day today to write a review. I hope somebody actually reads this to make things better for the next person! All we needed was a but of kindness and perhaps a bit of teaching about techniques & products. You know once somebody gets interested in something then you might have a customer for life. These days in this economy, no one should be taking customers for granted... Just saying. Even wonderful stores are going out of business these days... personally I wouldn't take one single customer for granted!

Made with espresso, coconut milk, and pandan, it had a smooth tropical twist that I could drink every day. The Mont Blanc was rich and earthy, combining charcoal, espresso, and milk. The Matcha Latte kept it classic with just matcha and milk, and the Cream Americano delivered exactly what it promised with a nice balance of bold and sweet. The Black Island had a deeper flavor with a subtle hint of pandan flavor that paired well with the charcoal. Parking is fairly easy, either on the street or in the visitor section of the garage. As someone who takes coffee seriously, I can honestly say this is one of my favorite coffee spots in Houston. Creative drinks, good vibes, and a great place to explore unique flavors.

My partner (a former barista) and I came in today, about a week after they first opened as we enjoy exploring new coffee shops. You can come here to get work done, or chat and catch up with some friends and the music won't be blasting in your ear to skyrocket your caffeinated anxiety towards the stars. The service is also good, with the barista looking like he stepped out of a GQ catalog and has a fashion walk after he gets off. We both opted for the Dulce de Leche Latte, which has caramel sauce + condensed milk, served either hot or cold and we both went with cold. You can definitely taste the espresso and the condensed milk, and although light in color, wasn't overtly milky nor terribly sweet, but sweet enough for those looking for something sweet. I found the coffee enjoyable and while not a particular fave for my partner, it is good enough and we will be back to try the other drinks. I also ordered a Baklava, and to be honest with you, I didn't like it as much as I hoped. I love a good Baklava, but this one I found to be a bit on the dry side, and maybe too dense of a filling, but that's really just preference. Everything from the furniture to cutlery to glasses is beautiful and goes well together. The staff is very friendly and happy to explain the menu. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and there are some really interesting flavors I have yet to try. On Thursdays, there is a special where you can get an Addis latte (kind of sweetened latte) and a lentil sambusa for $7 only! I've only been here on weekday afternoons/late mornings, and the street parking is plentiful and seating has never been an issue (which is something I worried about since it's in a home structure). There are couches and more solo seating arrangements upstairs and standard tables and couches downstairs. Overall, highly recommend coming to study or catch up with people! (Though it did seem like most people there tend to be working/studying silently).
