This is such a great coffee spot. I've been driving by for years since they opened and finally checked it out last week. I liked it so much that I stopped by again today! My friends had raved about the strawberry blondie latte and I can see why they did! My first visit, I tried it with quarter sugar but found myself craving a little more sweetness. I got the half sugar order today and it was perfect - a lovely sweet strawberry taste at the bottom that you can mix in with the coffee. I love that it is iced and comes with dried strawberries floating at the top! You can customize sugar and milk options but it's $1 extra for oat milk. All the staff are really friendly and were happy to talk me through the flavoring options of various lattes. I got the mocha latte for J and he really enjoyed it. The shop is not very big and was completely full on a Friday morning, but plenty of seats were open on a Sunday morning. It's a good location for coffee with a friend, or a date, or getting some work or studying done. Parking is right outside and is plentiful as it's right next to the Walgreens. I already signed up for their rewards program so I will certainly be back! read more

It's a cute little store with a lovely interior. When I went, the store was packed to the brim with people doing work on their laptops and studying, so it seems like a nice place to go to do some remote work. The layout of the interior was slightly confusing, you have to walk all the way to the back left corner to order your coffee, and it was next to the restrooms. (Thank God the restrooms were clean.) I ordered the vanilla latte (kind of like the safe thing to order at a new place?) and to be honest, first sip was a disappointment. The barista prepared it well, it was not burnt, but the issue is when you do have someone prepare it well and it still doesn't turn out well means there's an issue with the quality itself. It fell flat in terms of flavor. The espresso overpowers the flavor of everything else. Which normally is a good thing, but usually in lattes I'm expecting a nice mix of syrup, milk, and espresso. The bitter of the espresso takes over the latte. I'm sure this place had some other delicious choices, but this was not the coffee shop for me. read more

This little shop was cute and had its own little personality that feels like it transports you to another place. There was patio seating too although one sides shade was not working. This was one of the best ube lattes I've had. The restroom was different the sink and mirror is located outside of the bathroom. I had no complaints with the service. This is my favorite coffee shop by far - love the coffees and their made-to-order breakfast item and sandwiches are outstanding. The place is situated at the end of a strip center - you would never see it from the street, but somehow people have discovered this place. If you go at lunch hours, you have a tough time finding a place to sit. Fortunately, they do not get a lot of computer hogs taking up the tables, but they do get an occasional few. The owner is frequently on site, and if it is not peak time will often chat with you for a few minutes. I expect that they will open another location at some point. I highly recommend this coffee shop and I normally with get either the Caprese Panino or the Salmon Toast. They will make modifications to their prepared foods upon request. read more

Most of their sandwiches are quite big, I wanted something on the small side, so I ordered the cheese sandwich, it comes with cheese and tomato and delicious dressing, but you can add protein or any type of topping that you like, so I requested turkey and avocado and let me tell you, this sandwich was soooo good! that I finished it all! An incredible coffee shop! I never even knew this little gem existed, even though I've driven past that Walgreens parking lot for years! I had the chai latte, which was good, but the star of the show was for sure the avocado toast :). The crunch of the ciabatta bread matched perfectly with the avocado and sweet balsamic reduction vinaigrette! There were about 15 seats, so I am glad that I came early before it got bustling. The decor was very elegant and far better than the portraits of animals at Slowpokes down the road in my opinion. There are 2-4 outdoor seats, but the outdoor ambiance really depends on the weather. Lastly, service was good and nothing really "stood out" (which is how it should be at a coffee shop LOL). Their pastries are all made in house by hand. They have exotic and varieties of coffee beans you won't find at your typical coffee shop. I ordered the pour over Gesha Natural. And while it was a $20+ cup of coffee it was some of the best coffee I've had The manager or owner was talking to friends when I was at the counter then looked at me without words as if to say "what do you want" without saying anything. I didn't love this. But the barista that took care of my order and then meticulously prepared my almost artisanal drink was a delight. This individual was not only informative, and a skilled professional barista, but they also were incredibly polite Some tips: If you are a coffee lover or hipster, definitely take a look at the pour over list. This place is so cute and so chic!! I came here with a friend to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a chocolate croissant, a dirty matcha, and a london fog. The quality of their drinks is very high and the matcha was ceremonial grade. I'm very picky about my matcha and this place was worth it. It came out fairly quickly and there was plenty of seating. There are also plugs at the bottom of their booths for your convenience. The decor of the cafe was also so pretty. It's mediterranean themed and has this gorgeous wallpaper and tiles throughout the shop. Last thing is that their wifi is ACTUALLY good. I go to a lot of cafes and the worst thing is when you order ur drink, sit down, open your laptop and the wifi doesn't work. You won't have that problem here. I stumbled upon La Tazza on a whim and have been back at least 3 other times. The coffee shop itself is cutely decorated. Everyone's been super nice and friendly. I started off with a pistachio mousse and pistachio baklava latte. Tried the caramel pecan latte next, then for the Cardigan (honey and cinnamon...my favorite combo in a latte). You can tell the coffee is high quality, the first-sip-eyes-closed kind of quality. The only gripe I have is the honey is a little much for me but I'm the type that prefers my drinks less sweet. I remember this was a rainy Houston day. We were looking for a unique coffee shop nearby and La Tazzaa was the one that came up. Even with muggy weather, the shop was still full to the brim. Luckily, two tables opened up as we came in which was perfect for our party of about 10. Nonetheless, I'll just say it here - the only "complaint" that I have about La Tazza is that sitting is relatively limited. I'd imagine the place must be pretty packed when the weather is better. Nonetheless, there's only so much that you can do about this. This is why I put the quotations. Plus, this probably doesn't apply to most people. Moving on, I'll say that the staff is incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The cashier was understanding as I ordered for a large group. I personally got a matcha drink which was great. Nice and subtle matcha flavor that went well with the berry puree at the bottom. Other highlights included a cold brew lavender drink. I also liked the pistachio cream crossaint that they had. It is a bit small and seating is often full inside and outside. I have tried a few drinks but my favorite is the hot pecan latte. It's so flavorful and delicious. Their coffee in general is very very smooth. I almost bought a bag of it. The staff are so kind and helpful and patient. It's such a pleasant place to visit. I wish they had more seating is all. This location is a bit small with the tables close to on another and there's lots of customers going in and out. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was a lot sweeter than I would have wanted. The coffee was delicious but was a tad overpowered by the strawberry. The pistachio croissant was nice and flaky and had plenty of pistachio filling. I think all coffee shops have something to learn from La Tazza; this is the cutest coffee shop with the most exceptional service that I've seen in Houston. The staff genuinely greets everyone with a big smile when they order at the counter and are patient to offer suggestions on picking menu items based on personal taste preferences. I hesitated on whether to order the signature strawberry blonde latte given reviews online that mentioned it is overly sweet, and the staff reassured me that they are able to adjust the sugar level to 50% if needed. When I received the drink, I was pleasantly surprised by the combined taste of strawberry, white chocolate, and coffee - so many layers of flavors in every sip. The taste is pure and does not contain artificial flavors/syrups. My friend ordered a classic latte and also provided compliments. Given that there was some miscommunications and we received our drinks much later than expected, the staff was kind enough to reward us with a free drink voucher, then the manager came by our table again to offer apologies and passed us some free sweets to pair with our drinks. This was the kindest gesture that I've seen of any coffeehouse, especially one as busy as theirs, and truly makes the customers feel valued! The decor of the coffeehouse also makes you feel like you've physically left Houston and traveled to Europe. The shop looks tiny from the outside, but there's plenty of seating available inside. We were looking for a new coffee shop to try and ended up at La Tazza. We never really venture out on this side of town, but we were excited to try somewhere new. It's located in the corner of a strip, and there's lots of parking. We walked in at around 11 am and the place was packed! Almost no tables open - that's always a good sign if you ask me. The place is decorated well with a very Italian feel. It felt like all the people in the neighborhood just gathered there for lunch or coffee, it was such a cool vibe. We ordered our drinks to go. I got a strawberry blonde and an iced latte. The strawberry blonde was super delicious. The strawberry syrup they use tasted like it was from real fruit. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess from the strawberry and boldness from the espresso - that's something I'd crave for sure. The latte was pretty good too. Service is great but it is on the slower side since it's just one barista/cashier. It is more of a rustic, homemade kind of coffee bar. The owner is from Colombia and you can tell they care about their coffee with the attention to detail they have. I really liked this place! Very close to the med center so I was able to come here a couple times after class. I like the aesthetic of the interior and seating is cute and comfortable. The staff is also very friendly and even let me know that I can do half-caf (1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular espresso) for my drink if I didn't want as much caffeine. The first time I came, I got the iced mocha with half-caf and the second time I got their iced pumpkin mocha latte (half-caf) as well. I really liked both but my favorite was definitely the one with pumpkin. This was a seasonal drink so I am not sure if they still have it but order it if you can! I could taste the cinnamon, pumpkin, as well as the mocha and it has chocolate chips on the top. The only con I would say is that although the wifi is free, the internet is very hit or miss. It took me 30 minutes to get the internet to work the first time I was here and it didn't work at all for me the second time around which I did have to leave early. I would say that a lot of people come here to work/study so internet might be hit or miss as well! They have your standard coffee shop menu, and then have some specialities such as The Cardigan, a Strawberry Blonde, etc. One of these specialties is their Rose Petal Latte- which you can get hot or cold, and is served up with vanilla, rose, and cardamom. I got it hot, and it was so smooth and delicious. The cardamom notes were subtle and just how I liked it. My friend got their other specialty which was a ginger beer and espresso cold drink- she loved it as well.
