I made my way out to the SoCo farmers market early morning to catch him to sharpen my 2 hair-cutting shears. He educated me on the types of shears I had and the his process in sharpening them with all of the different tools he had. Upon pickup, he had me check how well they cut with human hair extensions he had ready so that he could make any needed adjustments. Long story short, I brought expensive shears I had bought preowned not realizing that they may have been sharpened incorrectly before so he had to fix somebody else's work. He was so kind and didn't make me feel bad about it and was overall just so pleasant to work with. He sharpens all sorts of tools including garden, groomer, kitchen knives, clippers, etc. He's also mobile so long as there is a driveway for him. Please check him out!

I got my first set of nice ZWILLING knives and I was excited to have my first set of nice knives sharpened for the first time. I saw the fantastic reviews and was optimistic. However, upon getting them sharpened, I received my brand new knives back with scuff marks. I figured maybe it was normal and it would come out overtime but it has been over a year and they're still there. I feel a lot of regret sending my knives here to be sharpened because aesthetically they don't look good anymore. Additionally, I was not a fan of the communication when scheduling, she arrived an hour earlier which in theory could be nice? But I had to send a family member over to take care of the knives since I scheduled my work hours to be available at the time we initially agreed upon. Had I been there I more than likely would've asked about the scuff marks. I'm glad other people had wonderful results here, but I unfortunately had a very regretful experience and now the knives I saved up for look bad.

He did his best, but as I was walking out, he told me he would check some of the old equipment in back they pull out of old locations when they do new equipment installs. He pulled some legs the exact size I needed it off an old griddle! This was something he didn't have to do but really wanted to help me out. I have a nice set of kitchen knives that I keep in one of those butcher block type of counter…read moredisplays. We use them daily. They look good and the different types are quite useful. The set comes with a tubular sharpening stone but after years of mild sharpening, we needed a new set. Or so I thought. I researched the cost of a replacement set and, being the wise consumer I am, looked for a more reasonable option. SCS brought the entire knife set back to brand new co diction at a fraction of the cost. We had 6 knives sharpened for $72. Cash only. Far cheaper than a new set and we love the look and feel of our set. Kind of like a new pair of soles on your favorite shoes. The shop itself is a dump.... dusty from all of the industrial sharpening that they do here so don't plan shopping for new knives here. The service was top notch and they turned the Knives around in less than a day. They charge by the inch, a fair price and the knives are super sharp once again.
